@@veboonetapsr6812 I agree on you that it's way too bloody heavy. But you can't deny it's power. The noise is actually eargasming if you hear it from other mic (not the crappy mic F1 been using nowadays). I can tell you it sounds like a Flat 12 without the extra high frequency.
@@amin7581 f1 used same mics as in v8 era when hybrids came out they needed to get mics closer to get sounds closer and the sound is like broken electric drill
Also had THE worst turbo lag EVER! This Turbo Generation of F1 cars were the most difficult of all to actually drive quickly with drivers having to pre empt all that horrendous lag by getting the accelerator down before they wanted the power. Musta been a nightmare!
Only if is a V4, initially inline-4 were considered for 2014 but they were scrapped due to their inability to be structural member, requiring a rear subframe, increasing weight.

They used street car engine blocks with miles already on them for these bmw engines. They liked how the used engines were pre stressed.
Also heard they stored the engine blocks out back of the workshop and encouraged the staff to piss on them

I think the MPG was something about 1,5 miles per gallon or 150L/100km, because the cars had enormous turbos.

honda RA16 has more hp.
It was a special engine designed specifically for qualifying and turned up to max boost. If used during a race, it wouldn't survive 3 laps. 😂
