If you had a small groomed dirt track, you could make videos that show the benefits of upgrades and tuning. Bashing footage is very subjective, so a controlled track would help a lot. You have enough room in what I assume is your backyard that would make a great tax deduction: )
This is how i see cars as well. I have a backyard track so durability is not my top concern, that would be performance. However it probably only applies to us few who mostly drive on a track.
I definitely understand where you're coming from but as a pure basher it's just not something I really know that much about. I am not that great at tuning and wouldn't even know what to look for on a track as I've never been on one.
Wish I knew about that ramp before Xmas. But thanks for always brining new stuff to us i love your videos. The fact that u showcase the product and not anything else and explain the posatives and the negatives says a lot about your character. Keep em comimg bro!
McGruff, the Crime Dog ? I've always wanted to meet you. So, your nose is good right ? See, I lost this bag of mushrooms, maybe you can help me find it ? Chanterelle mushrooms, of course.
Rlaarlo has been making some really cool cars lately, and I gotta say, in my opinion, this is the coolest one they’ve done. I actually like it in the “Raging Bull” livery they have, but this color looks awesome too. And it looks even more awesome with the Proline Trenchers. 1
Genius fix with the weak spot. Saw someone else who spoiled his car and fun in the first 5 minutes of running it and it was the screws at the back. Some of his viewers even tried to cancel their orders via emailing the company. Rlarrlo should pay you to engineer some of their stuff.
Yeah I just don't think it was originally designed to have that kind of leverage on it but with screws and nuts I think it would be just fine. After putting the longer screws and it took quite a hit for me to to rip it off again and that was with the holes already messed up from the first time.
@@DoRC I was wondering whether it is possible to use zip or cable ties as a preemptive measure. I don't have the car yet and can't really tell if there's space for that. Or can you share the exact measurements and types of screws and nuts you've used? Would do exactly the same to bullet proof it when it arrives. 🙏🏼
@danielc5191 Not sure about the measurements but they are m 2.5 screws. I'd recommend just getting an m 2.5 assortment on Amazon and that'll give you pretty much everything you need to do it.
A-1 review. Good job. My first Rlaarlo video review I have watched. Seems to a descent buggy RC. I definitely liked the bigger tires. Appreciate the time and effort you put into your reviews. Can’t wait to see any further reviews you do with this RC. Be safe. 🏁🏁🏎️🏁🏁
semi-unrelated but: Recently got the WLtoys 124017-v8 ( still need to swap radio) but otherwise a very competent track car/light basher. Arrma is tougher, but MJX might be tougher than Arrma. As far as easy and fast laps, the LCRacing design still kicks butt even with WLtoys downgrading it. I paid $82 for the brushless RTR and $18 for carbon chassis and towers. nearly 40mph on 2s. Still a contender imo. Wltoys needs a radio swap and MJX needs an ESC swap to get rid of delays but so much power and value
@DoRC I have the lc racing truggy and if I need something I always have to pay for shipping which really brings up the price of the part I need unless I order over 100.00, would this be the same deal?
Probably fine. They seem to have a pretty decent balance between grip and slip. I wouldn't expect them to be the best tires in the world but they're not bad
3S maybe though it's pretty narrow even for a 1/10 scale. I doubt it would survive 6s but it's way too narrow for that anyway. This really is designed for minis.
@@DoRC Cool, thank you. I can still use for the three groms i own, my son is a U.S. Marine and when he comes home for holidays, we have a blast at the park with our 9 Arrma vehicles. Happy Holidays.
Since there pricing this as the same as the am x/d 12 rcs it's legitimately a basher version but I'm kinda disappointed I was hoping for a chassis platform closer to the omni terminator or xts and definitely with a center diff thise is kind of a disappointment since the am d and waltoys are so modular already they should have just released these for upgrade and made a new 100mph challenge or something cool like that

I will have to say that of any brand out there Rlaarlo is pretty much trying the hardest. There really pushing and getting neat cars out that, while not perfect, are good and especially on sale are at good prices

Yeah the big problem I have with Traxxas patent lawsuits is that most of the stuff they patented wasn't their original idea even in this hobby. Of course that means they probably never should have gotten the patent in the first place and that's the fault of the people that review them but still
This channel is quickly becoming my #1 RC TH-cam channel! 😉
Agreed!
He is #1.
Thanks!

Awesome i was hoping for a new @DoRc video today 🎉 thanks for the amazing videos

Chanterelle mushrooms, of course.
@@Boogie_the_catI'm always down for some shrooms 😂
Glad I didn't disappoint :-)
Mine is on the way! I have the typhon as well so I will definitely compare the 2! Good content!! 1
Nice!
I was waiting for you to review this one
Yeah I got mine a little bit later than most other people did. Shipping is a mess this time of year

Yeah I love putting big tires on buggies and this one handles it really well
4:30 i would take stamped and/or machined aluminum gears over powder so-called steel any day of the week. even in diffs. call me mental/
It's not so-called steel it is actual steel and if it's done properly it can be nearly as strong as CNC machined steel.
Had to order from Germany but I picked up the maxx and I’m impressed . Now this little thing could be a purchase down the line
Yeah the max is not a bad little truck it's just not the best value for money for a lot of people

Do RC is the number 1 RC channel on YT! Love the content fam, keep it up.
If you keep watching them I'll keep making them!
That’s 1 nice ride. Still hoping they’ll move up to 1/10 sooner than later.
Yes I'm definitely looking forward to what they come up with in a 110 scale platform
That is 1 nice rc car. And a great review as usual. Always look forward to your videos.
Thanks Glad you enjoyed it!
I feel this could be the number 1 budget buggy basher 😊
Yeah the rear tower thing is a little concerning but I think with longer screws out of the box and especially with nuts on the back it should be fine
This is 1 great review!
Glad 2 know you liked it!
Wow, EXCELLENT REVIEW!!! As a new person to the hobby , which Basher is the easiest to work on . 1
The grom platform is the easiest platform to work on by far

Yeah it does seem like the rear tower is going to be a weak spot but I think with longer screws and especially nuts it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Yeah for sure. The WL Toys platform has been around a long time and it's still pretty decent.
Cool to see how this one stacked up. Certainly a good option. 1.
Yeah for the price especially when these end up on sale on Amazon it's a compelling option.
We need some links to the ramp and buggy! Great videos. 1
Both can be found with a Google search. I don't usually do links if I don't have to.
Mine got shipped at 3am last night😂
Nice!
Number 1 RC channel ❤
Thanks for watching :-)
Great review, I just worry about parts support, seems like 1 nice buggy
So far apart support has been decent for these cars and given that this shares a platform with the ROG-1 I expect it'll be pretty good long-term
@DoRC I have the lc racing truggy and if I need something I always have to pay for shipping which really brings up the price of the part I need unless I order over 100.00, would this be the same deal?
@chriszak3282 probably not. The common omni Terminator parts are available on Amazon and I expect this will be too.
Nice review, I’d have to go with the bigger tires. #1
Yeah I think the trenchers might be a touch too big though it did survive them.
Great 1. Keep it coming
Will do!
I know the tires are staggered width. How do you think they would do on a Typhon Grom?
Probably fine. They seem to have a pretty decent balance between grip and slip. I wouldn't expect them to be the best tires in the world but they're not bad
@@DoRCRoger that. Wasn’t sure of the delta in OD.
@@DoRCStill watching the video. If they put out a SC/Trophy truck this size, I don’t think I will be able to keep myself from buying.
@@jrmbtr That would be cool. It's a decent platform. I think a V2 revision will be pretty unstoppable.
( 1) (ONE)-
Great video as always. I've been checking out that ramp, will it survive if used with the Arrma 3S and 6S line of vehicles?
3S maybe though it's pretty narrow even for a 1/10 scale. I doubt it would survive 6s but it's way too narrow for that anyway. This really is designed for minis.

Yeah for 50 bucks it's totally worth getting. It's nice and light too which is really handy
Can't wait to see you throw some more power in it. 1
Not sure I'll do a dedicated video of overpowering it but it might end up in a video with some other stuff.
@DoRC I just love your modding videos of any kind
Dam it looks sick with the trenchers on. What size are they?
It's the 2.2s
Trigger delay?
I didn't really notice any but I'm not very sensitive to that kind of thing so might not be the right person to ask
I would love to have 1
