The blockchain is a ledger of every transaction ever done that is distributed to every node connected to the network since Satoshi mined its first block. Think of it as a banking ledger that is public that everyone can view. The miners use their computers to solve the nonce (puzzle) of the block. Once a block is solved, it verifys with the blockchain and if its good, it gets written to it if all nodes in the network agree. The process is called a merkle tree.

Bitcoin is the only true non-centralized global currency... How else could you send money from yourself to a friend in Thailand? You'd have to go through either banks or payment services. Bitcoin miners are just providing processing power to the payment network thats the only way to be decentralized. Visa and Mastercard have shit tons of servers for their payment network. So much bitcoin appears everyday, and depending on the amount of processing power you put in determines your payout. Its super simple.
@@jannikheidemann3805 Not sure you have the full picture, maybe do some more research on network size, hash rate and number of nodes and then compare Bitcoin to other crypto currencies. You will see how different and ahead Bitcoin is to basically anything else out there. Also consider to read up on what "decentralized" really means. Netflix content is also decentralized, it's still under control by a single party, so "decentralized" tells nothing about how the network actually works and how decisions are made and agreed upon by all network / Bitcoin participants and users.

The blue motor on the Chaparral lnb is a standard servo. I have one of those running. Just use a servo tester or an arduino. Red is 5v black ground and white the servo signal. And like I mentioned before you could make a Standart ku band lnb fit the feedhorn of fhe square dish.

Bitcoin is just an encrypted ledger system structured in a block chain manner for security and redundancy... The encryption of the currency used in the ledger system needs a lot of computing resources. Plus other aspects of the network also require a lot of computing resources for functionality.
I have made pretty decent money on cryptos this year. Literally tripled my money, using a bit of my profits to build up a Jeep Cherokee as a trail rig (for hunting gold ore and cool rocks during warm weather). It has a lot to do with timing, I took a heavy shot to the shins a few years back, but got it back plus. If it continues for a few months as it currently is, I see a Ford Ranger Raptor in my future. You are very correct about a LOT of data.
what coins do you like to hold? I've been avoiding Tokens. I like BTC, Monero, and $PEP (pepecoin) , the tech to it is very interesting: I think Elon Musk is secretly hoarding it- he will probably help bring a big bull run to it in the future. If he mines doge- he mines pep.
I made a couple hundred on doge during the pandemic when Elon hyped it up. I’m sure if I held on longer I could have made more, but I just wasn’t willing to risk it and doubling my input seemed more than good enough to me. That’s about the only time in my 4 decades of life that I’ve ever gambled.
If memory serves correct. It dipped into loss territory then went back up and once it hit double I pulled my coin. I definitely wouldn’t suggest buying into crypto because it’s just so stressful. That being said, I do understand addicts so I get it on some level so it’s not wholly foreign to me why anyone would want to engage in the crypto game. I just feel like drugs is far more funner than seeing numbers go up in a bank account 😂🎉
My niece's boyfriend used to mine bitcoin with using a rig with many higher end GPUs. I believe he made some money with it but with raising electricity bills and the relatively short lifespan of the GPUs in mining use, he stopped doing it. bitcoin is simply way for people to exchange value that cant be diluted. look what happened when they printed all that money during covid, we got massive inflation, AKA our money's value was diluted. there's a million other great things about it, but i think thats the best part. you should learn about it. you might just surprise yourself with what you learn.
This isn't a solution to material issues. It's not like things are the way they are totally mathematically. Many people who hold a lot of assets/property, and the means to violently maintain it that way, have the final say in how things are, regardless of the quantity of cash or whether cash is printed or not. People lost value because it was just convenient or useful to that class.
The innovative approach of Web3 Infinity Token to decentralized networks is quite intriguing, and it will be exciting to witness how this technology unfolds and impacts various industries in the future.

I knew about this satellite and always dreamed of setting up a connection and keeping my node in sync without having to use my limited internet bandwidth. Lots of corporate media Bitcoin FUD at the start of the video though. If you're ever interested in learning Bitcoin (not cryptocurrency, the cheap knock-off) I recommend voices from people who use it and have a deep understanding. Lyn Alden, Andreas Antonopolos, Peter McCormick, American HODL, etc.
All money is imaginary.
Yup, but at least with 'normal' money I can spend it on things, and I don't worry about it changing value so much in the next hour that I'd be pulling my hair out. Crypto is a pyramid scam
@@repatch43 A pyramid scam where you can make a lot of money 🤑
@@repatch43 I see 1 dollar has the same value as 10 years ago, right?
@@rian0xFFF It's much closer in value to the dollar 10 years ago than bitcoin from 10 years ago compared to today is.
@@rian0xFFF trading chopped wood for eggs has the same value it did 2000 years ago.
The little GT Media finder is awesome. Basically an FTA receiver with some extra signal finding stuff on top of it. Got the downlink for a radio station working with one the other day.
Understanding bitcoin will feel even better because it's a stronger signal once you get it. What you did was proof of work, great!
Your definition of Crypto and the running car was spot on! Hahaha 😂
Nice video man, have no clue about satellite data streams, but nice to watch
Bitcoin is the only true non-centralized global currency... How else could you send money from yourself to a friend in Thailand? You'd have to go through either banks or payment services. Bitcoin miners are just providing processing power to the payment network thats the only way to be decentralized. Visa and Mastercard have shit tons of servers for their payment network. So much bitcoin appears everyday, and depending on the amount of processing power you put in determines your payout. Its super simple.
Bitcoin is not the only widely accepted crypto currency, and they are all decentralized.
I'm a early Bitcoiner, Bought my first Bitcoin under $100 in 2013.. I'm a multimillionaire today in US dollars. .I'm a US registered HAM. I'd do a interview with you .. Freesat follower, And yes the Bitcoin block stream has been raining down on you from space since 2017.
The blue motor on the Chaparral lnb is a standard servo. I have one of those running. Just use a servo tester or an arduino. Red is 5v black ground and white the servo signal. Pease note the servo needs more power then your arduino can deliver. So use a external power supply. And like I mentioned before you could make a Standart ku band lnb fit the feedhorn of fhe square dish.
It’s neat that you are documenting these satellites … another great episode!
Friend of a friend bought some when it was very cheap (which is when I bought some to buy those illegal drugs you mentioned). He recently bought a house with it after holding it for a decade.
I sold drugs for 2 months, in 2005, then forgot about the bitcoin and I'm a multimillionaire now lol.
@ man, I fumbled the ball so many times
I wish I had your level of patience for this stuff!
what coins do you like to hold? I've been avoiding Tokens. I like BTC, Monero, and $PEP (pepecoin) , the tech to it is very interesting: I think Elon Musk is secretly hoarding it- he will probably help bring a big bull run to it in the future. If he mines doge- he mines pep.
BUY , SELL, TRADE...
Yes. You might learn a lot about yourself. 😅
I've actually made a little money from Bitcoin, but I'll never be a millionaire unless it goes to $100 billion
Its still not hit the highs it did just pre covid. It's close now but you made more selling back then.
I doubt if it's even cheaper or faster to download the blockchain from space, rather than just ordering a hard-drive/SD-card with a copy.
no colder wallet than one in orbit ig
4:30 "I'm not getting anything of value" is a good way of summing up the blockchain lol
My niece's boyfriend used to mine bitcoin with using a rig with many higher end GPUs. I believe he made some money with it but with raising electricity bills and the relatively short lifespan of the GPUs in mining use, he stopped doing it. I don't know how much profit he made but at least he lives in student dorm and owns an old car so either he's waiting for the coin value to go up or didn't make much profit.
12:48 For those who came to see the unicorn . You are welcome!
I'm so with you when are doing this stuff. I love the journey. Thanks for doing these videos.
This is a lot for those underdeveloped countries/villages on earth. I'm going to just simply trade a couple goats for 6 chickens with the guy down the street. He can get some Goat milk and I can get eggs. It tastes so much better than bitcoin.
I think you had difficulty, because you are NOT under-developed.
You can't de-conbobulate the turbo encabulator!!? Oh my you crack me up. Thank you for the entertainment. maybe one day we can QSO on the radio, via ISS!

Деньги без бумаги и расстояний для продажи коз из пустыни-которые Вы делаете-является великим делом! Маленький шажок (и неделя мучений)для одного человека-но большой шаг для всего человечества!
I've made money on a few cryptos; BTC, ETH, XLM, and HBAR. I don't mess with shitcoins. I haven't become rich because of it, although I could have if I had more disposable wealth.
I love these videos because one of my favorite things to do is...just try to make interesting things work. I spend most of my time with radio just seeing what I can do with the combo of equipment, knowledge, and perseverance (Aka some knowledge + Trial and error)
now they have satellites on the blockchain, what will they think of next
That's too much work to buy goats with bitcoin. Seriously, you are dedicated. Interesting video, as always.
That seems like an intuitive process for selling some goats.
Making fun of Bitcoin in 2024...For a smart guy you can be stupid sometimes..
The comments on this are already insufferable, good luck with the techbros
They're so mad that he isn't a Bitcoin expert even though he made it clear about 90 times that he knows nothing about Bitcoin and is only doing this for fun. They are so desperate for people to buy into their scam.

You ever heard of rainbow tables? Bitcoin is just some dude just got really creative drinking energy drinks and created a really nasty rainbow table. That’s called bitcoin. If you have the biggest rainbow table you own everything period. 😂
Cash app is from Square where Square is mostly for use in a store and cash app is peer to peer. Kinda in the same field as PayPal but separated in 2 separate apps. I've been with Square and cash app for years.

Best way to make money? Work hard.
That whole "work smart" moniker is just another way of saying, "take from others when they are least expected."
Definitely feels shady but a friend made a lot back in the day I sent him this video hopefully we could do what your doing
Your description of Bitcoin in the intro is my new favorite way of explaining it to people, thanks for that!
If you live in a third world country you get to save your value not in your country's currency which would lose half its value in a year. The bitcoin is more beneficial to places where interest rates are high.
Have to respond to the start of the video. Ive made money with Bitcoin, no stealing, no drug deals. Now you have met someone.
Congratulations on being lucky. However, the money ‘made’ through bitcoin by that minority of individuals comes out of the pockets of the majority who’ve lost. It’s a zero-sum game, unlike the real economy. At best, it’s gambling.
but is it in your HAND? just because you hold something "worth" money, doesn't mean you have money.
Now they've met two. I made a 5x return because I bought bitcoin 3 years ago when it was worth $19k and everyone was calling it a scam. Now it's worth $100k and fools are still hating. I'll never understand this mentality, especially when it comes from fellow geeks who should know better. Crypto is the future. Hop on the train now before you're left behind forever.
@@xanderlewis Not lucky, I knew what I was doing and bought it for a reason. Rule #1 Vice sells, Rule #2 Vice sets the standard. When I saw reports of it being used online for drug sales, it hit rule #2 and I bought a few hundred dollars worth at $0.50 a BTC. Was it a risky investment, yes. Was it luck, no.

It seems like kind of a low-rent sat, hard to find and the beacon wasn't working. Not sure if it's starting to wear out or was just a cheaper one.
I've dabbled in crypto. Made some money from it. Even purchased Xmas gifts with it. It's basically digital cash with a transaction history.
bitcoin is simply way for people to exchange value that cant be diluted. look what happened when they printed all that money during covid, we got massive inflation, AKA our money's value was diluted. there's a million other great things about it, but i think thats the best part. you should learn about it. you might just surprise yourself with what you learn.
Yes, people should learn more about BC then they will realise its vaporware.
