Hey Nick, all the folded cell batteries are made by the company GrePow. They are the parrent company of tattu. That's why you can usually find tattus at the lowest cost per cell.
another great video nick! gotta love that were getting more and more options now for micros. Its definitely not the lightest but it performed fine so I think many will appreciate the approach they're going for. I also agree that there's probably some manufacturing inconsistencies on the frame (or cold weather) as that looks like it was sheared off.
Fantastic flying and review, Nick! 😃 They could probably shave some weight there in the canopy, but... Not bad at all! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Love the little cat ears on the canopy. I've never been overly concerned about extra weight, within reason. 5grams is a lot looking at over all weight. Watching you fly a heavy vs a light 65mm whoop, you rip either way, but I get they feel different. I don't race so no biggie for me. Looks like a sweet little cruzer that can rip still. Thanks for the review!
14:36 no this is fine, it looks like it's just a 1/2 wavelenght antenna (if it's roughly 6.5cm, then that's what it is), which should give more range, the reason the other whoops have a shorter antenna is because we usually use 1/4 wavelenght (so like 3.25cm for 2.4ghz elrs), mainly for convenience and to save weight, but it does sacrifice a bit of range, but we just don't care as it's a whoop, it's not like we are going to go do lr with it, and 1/4th wavelenght is basically the nice middle ground between weight and convenience (it's easier to deal with a tiny antenna) and range, but it's not an issue, you can have an antenna for any harmonics of the frequency it's targetting (so 1,1/2,1/3,1/4 wavelenght etc), which is why, I think it was frsky, where some of their rx had stupid long antenna so they had a full wavelenght antenna to increase the range on their system because it was so crappy that they had to do this, don't quote me on this tho.
A half wave end fed antenna has a very high feed point impedance (over 2500 ohms). Hopefully they have an appropriate impedance matching circuit. It's going to work like crap if it was designed for a 50 ohm antenna.
@rocketman221projects Well, I'm sure if they wanted to be a special snowflake and have a half wave antenna they also thought about having an appropriate circuitry behind, And whilst I don't know from experience how bad the range would be if they didn't change the impedance matching circuit, with how big the difference in impedance is, I would assume if they didn't he would have had signal issues at some point, but he didn't
Been out of the hobby for a couple years. I have an 2:03 original Mob6 and 2019/2020 micro builds. Are the modern micros much different? Seems mostly the video systems have changed since then??
Yeah micros have changed a lot to be honest. I have an original mob 6 (in pieces) that is definitely quite different. Motors and connectors and frames are the main things though
The biggest changes, from a flight performance standpoint, is for sure ELRS and all of the software and firmware improvements. We have 65pro (35mm prop) and 75pro (45mm prop) whoop platforms now and they are both very good. Micro wise (assuming sub 3" and sub 100 grams) I still fly predominantly 3" and some 2.5" as of late, to mix it up a bit. And employ props and motors that aren't even released yet to 5 years old (it's basically all preference in this area).
Looks like where the frame broke is where the motor mount struts lined up with the duct support. The other frames don't line up like that, they're offset a little bit.
Yes, this I failed to voice in the video. I was having trouble with analog on my hdzero goggles. I did get it resolved a day or two after recording this video.
I was tempted by this little one, the price seemed fair too... then i hit check out and saw the shipment costs. It would cost almost as half of the drone, Insane is the only way to describe it. I buy from other cinese brands such as BetaFPV with no problems at all, they even ship free if you spend over 100€
As soon as I heard "this is not gonna be lightest..." i immediately crossed it off my list. Though, swapping that cam with nano3 and mobeetle6 canopy would shave at least a gram. Btw, how do you "fix" your frame? Which glue (i assume)?
Hey Nick, I'm convinced the runcam nano 3 camera is the best for analog. The HDZero aio5 with Lux is spoiling me, but it's light handling is still not as good as the nano 3. What do you think?
The nano 3 is either the lightest or near the lightest with a giant fov, for that I do like it, but the image quality isn't what our current day tinywhoop cameras are
Can confirm, mine did break in the same spot. 6 different times lmao.
Great review Nick!

Isn’t tatty gens ace
killer flying Mr. Burns hot dang!
Cool video! I always admire how insanely good you can fly. You shoot through the house like a madman. Madness. Greetings from Germany 👍👍👍

Mad flying skills!!
Have you quit your day job? .... A new mr. Nick Burns video every day, not that I’m complaining or anything🤣 Thanks again for the review! lol
No, I still work the day job. Some weeks will have less videos and then others have more. Just part of the flow.
@@NickBurnsFPV Going with the flow lol. Any update on the giveaway results bossman?
@@Tydud3haha, so ironic! He explicitly said not to bother with such questions... Jesus dude..
16:44 it's grepow, the parent company of tattu, that is manufacturing all the 260/300/450/550mah folded cell batteries
Fantastic flying and review, Nick! 😃

Looks like it flies pretty well, although you tend to fly anything pretty awsome regardless! Great review sir
😢😮😮😅😢 😢😢🎉😢😢🎉😢😅😮6😢
man I looove that canopy design
You have file 3D???

Wait, is that your new house? 😮😮 So cool house Nick 💯
Not new. We have been here 15 years. Way before I started posting on TH-cam

Another gooc review Nick
4:50 I noticed the goggles change and that you actually switched goggles lol. Why were you using the skyzones?
Oh you said the rapid fire

Seasons Greetings!

Nick burns is awesome. Uh huh uh huh uh huh uh huh
yippieeeeeeeeeeeeeee, new video ;)
cool whoop too!
Nice!
I need to get back into analog tiny whoop is the way for now I miss ripping the hell out of my quads 03 has me scared to fly smh 😅
Your goggle link is broken..
Nikc Burns Flies faster then i can Think :)
As soon as I heard "this is not gonna be lightest..." i immediately crossed it off my list. Though, swapping that cam with nano3 and mobeetle6 canopy would shave at least a gram. Btw, how do you "fix" your frame? Which glue (i assume)?
I use e6000 from tinywhoop.com
Yoo when are you going to release the giveaway winners
when he chooses to 👍
Nick what is your pid rates?
the pids are from the manufacturer and my rates are linked in the video description.
Hey Nick, I'm convinced the runcam nano 3 camera is the best for analog. The HDZero aio5 with Lux is spoiling me, but it's light handling is still not as good as the nano 3. What do you think?
the picture quality on the Runcam Nano 3 is horrible, I would not put it as the best analog camera
The nano 3 is either the lightest or near the lightest with a giant fov, for that I do like it, but the image quality isn't what our current day tinywhoop cameras are
Is it my screen or are the red's blown out? My ant on the mob8 doesnt do this.
The caddx ant does appear pretty red especially inside.
my 75mm whoops are 21g
Are you not allowed to fly on the second floor? : )
I can, but its not so much fun to go up there, lots of dead ends.
Too heavy for 65 mm. But yeah, it's Sub250 (g) 😄
