WOW! what an AWESOME rebuild and bash!!! Thanks for letting us be a part of it!!!! we should have our car this week. And we'll get those updates ready!!
Just a tip, get a piece of cardboard and stick the screws into the cardboard as you go so you don’t have to worry about knocking them over or them falling
Man. I just want to say I'm amazed at your knowledge and expertise. I don't know how I've fallen into this RC rabbithole but thank you and keep going! God bless.

Keep in mind the sledge is still $769 with a 3.2mm 6061 chassis. It’s only on sale for $599. Though I’m pretty sure their hands are tied here, they have to come out with a 7075 stock chassis if they want to compete at all. Oh, and at a minimum add a 7.4v BEC. The Jato 4x4 4s vxl is getting a 7.4BEC
“Using a REAL hammer….” 😅😅Because we’ve all tried the back of the random whatever tool. Like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Thanks for your thorough dedication in FULL TEARDOWN reviews. You show us internal diff gears before retailers show us a sealed box. 👌
M2C is the Godfather of Arrma 💪🏻upgrade options and your video editing is such a welcome and unique approach to Arrma truck content. Very good. Thank you for your time and enthusiasm.
Yeah it's definitely not the cleanest way to do the piston but it is by far the easiest :-) You can do that upgrade that way and maybe 2 minutes per shock
I'm waiting for my new Kraton V6 comes to my door step. Very excited! I love you video's and you've help me alot on different things in the rc hobby 20:56
Most of them aren't. This was more of a what can be done than a what needs to be done :-) This truck is pretty stout out of the box and the main weak point which is the arms isn't really something you can fix anyway.
“Most impressive” Watching the Kraton on the digging site was good. Very rough and unpredictable terrain. Arrma made a hit on the new Kraton version. Thanks for sharing and training. Be safe and keep up the great detailed videos. 🏁⭐️⭐️🏁🏎️
Yeah there are a bunch of different options some work better than others. I try to use the torx first because it's usually the easiest solution and one that you can usually only do before you start doing other things. I go over most of the options in my motor repair video from a few months back
@@DoRC never had one fail and I’m a handyman that works for myself. Just speaking from experience. Sht..I use the ones from harbor freight and haven’t had one break or not work. Used one on my pressure washer the other day. Used one on a seized Kraton chassis bolt recently. Thought I met my match, just had to add more heat and was able to get it with a lhdb.
Awesome vid! Loved the upgrade/bash portion. Scratches my “Imagine if you took this up another notch” itch. If there’s a word for it hahaha. I was looking at Horizon and didn’t see the new K6s yet
Definitely an ultimate build 👍 it looks like the new knuckles have fixed the front driveshaft from popping out all the time. I might have to buy a set and put them on my big rock and test for myself!
I agree. It's always great to see a new platform because that's super exciting but a lot of times what's best for the consumer is a platform that's been around a while that has been refined to the point that it has very few weak points. This has very few weak points
To each their own and it's not unheard of especially if you are creating a new RC out of the box, but one of the biggest selling point is this thing has exb parts a lot of them in the important places, now of course never found an unbreakable RC , but this v6 seems pretty tuff, not perfect but pretty tuff. My main thought is how many people are going to do this type of treatment out of the box upgrades? Money is a factor.
Very few. This is more of a what can be done than a wood should be done. It's certainly not practical and most of these upgrades really aren't needed out of the box. They sure are fun though!
I got into this hobby around the same time arrma did. Got my OG raider back in 2012 (video on that coming soon hopefully.) and even today I think it’s one of the best 2wd buggies out there. Then in 2014 they started using cheaper Chinese metal instead of the original Taiwan built stuff. And in 2015 the BLX85 disaster happened. In my opinion, Arma has been flat on their face since that day, and in someway has always been outdone by traxxas, redcat, TC and others. The v2 4s cars showed the first time that they started to listen to us, and the v2.5 cars were everything I wanted besides clipless bodies. I think now with this generation, it’s safe to say arrma is back to the brand they set out to be in 2010
They definitely put the work in on this one. It's still not perfect and arms are going to be a problem if you're doing big air but it's a long way closer to being perfect.
@ yea I personally probably wouldn’t experience that but this is still the most I’ve seen arrma work towards bettering their products. It is still pretty disappointing that they didn’t address that, but I guess they need to sell some spare parts to make money 😂
@dylanwhite6539 Well it could be that or it could be a situation where they know if they make the arms stronger it's going to expose the next weak point and then the next weak point etc etc. the stock hinge pins and blocks aren't really far behind the arms so in order to address it I think they're going to have to redesign that entire thing and that's kind of redesigning half the car. Maybe next version :-)
Good stuff man, I really like the tips you give while you're working on things. IG took me years in my own to come up with some tricks like that and you sharing your experience helps grow the hobby and can even teach old dogs news tricks. I'm really liking the look of the new 6S line up. 1/7-1/8 scale is my personal preference the Xmaxx and the 8S Keaton are fun but man do they take up a ton of space. Cheers. For the solid content
kudos to arrma for buildng great platforms out of the box. Once again you prove why youre a top dog on youtube. fantastic video. the funny thing is this was a experimental build. the car was fine enough with arrmas updates. the colorway looks really good too.
Yeah I did not know it was going to fit which is one of the main reasons I wanted to do it. The car is great out of the box though and without breaking things I really wouldn't know what types of upgrades you would need to do. Honestly the only thing I wish we had a great upgrade for is the arms as they are still the main weak point of the truck.
Fantastic work, dude! What a heck of a truck! 😃 I still don't like how it looks... But I guess I don't hate it anymore. 😂 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I will say that you know a lot more about setting these things up than I do, and I beat everyone at races held by my hobby shop, I won drag racing, rally racing and crawling competition and diva lot of testing to do that but I'm definitely learning some new things from you, my rally car was actually not set up that great but I won, but it is definitely better now then when I raced it, same thing for drag car, anyways I feel like you're taking me to the next level and that's awesome, good video, keep bringing us the good is stuff and explaining why it's better
I know how to build them but I really don't know that much about tuning them. Typically I just kind of deal with whatever deficiencies in tuning the vehicle has and very rarely change things like shock oil etc.
@DoRC When I tuned my drag car I can't remember how many times I changed shock oil and springs to get it right, I got it right but definitely one of my least favorite things to do, especially getting shocks all the same, if not, take cap off add oil let sit and start all over.
@chriszak3282 For sure. If I did any kind of serious racing or anything like that I'd probably be a lot better at tuning but I'm strictly a basher and it's just a lot less important when 90% of what I'm doing is slamming it off of ramps and into the ground :-)
It was definitely a lot of fun. Where I end up bashing largely depends on what vehicle I'm using and what's available at the time. Can't really run on a construction site during the week when it's in use and weather is always a factor etc.
This truck seems great even without the upgrades and I would get one if I didn’t already have a xrt for the same price I I got a really good deal because it was too much power for the guy and I have had a v5 Kraton and definitely one of my favorites
Unless you have a specific idea in your head as to what you want to upgrade I would just get it go have fun with it and then upgrade if you find that things are breaking frequently. A lot of people put a lot of upgrades on their car that they don't actually need and unless you just find that part of it fun it can kind of end up being a waste of money
Very cool upgrade video and bash session. I ordered this beast and now I’m glad I did. I had other choices but went this one. By the way what batteries are you using and are your finding the Kraton is running better 4S or 6S and is there a terrain difference. Again thanks for the great content. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏁
I have a couple rc issues that you might be able to help with. 1) my spektrum 150a esc has both mounting ears shattered. Ive been mounting to a piece of levan with hot glue and VHB, but sooner or later it comes off. I’m thinking about putting it in my k4 instead of my rustler but I need a solid way to mount it. Thoughts? 2) my brand new machete on the second pack experienced binding in the steering. I did loosen and tighten the screw that goes into the slider but not sure if that plays into the issue. The servo also seems disappointing for the size.
VHB is your best bet. As long as you have the surface is really clean or using genuine VHB and give it 24 hours to come to full strength before using it it really shouldn't come off. You can add a zip tie around the ESC and Mount to reinforce it though. The slider steering style mechanism of the machete Valkyrie and Wov racing cars is really susceptible to getting bound up because there's a huge surface area for debris to get into and get stuck. The only real solution I have found other than cleaning it out is to upgrade to a more powerful servo that can just power through any binding that happens. I don't remember the stock servo in the machete but most RTR servers aren't great.
The V6 solved the main problem i have had with the V2 exb. I'm tired of black bodies. I've got 8s Kraton and Outcast EXB's and I'm just over the black. I run a rtr red body on my Outcast and green on my Kraton. I know it's silly but it bothers me having my exb's look like they're rtr trucks. I really hope the lwb 6s trucks get this update also. I'm hoping the Infraction and Felony get something even more special. 8s capable from the factory would be awesome.
I totally agree about the color. Some people don't like the new colors but personally anything that isn't the same old blue black red yellow green I'm happy with!
The skins or even carbon fiber sticker sheet to be budgeted. You can cover all the screws than just use the driver as you go if need to access the screws . For guys who aren’t meticulous or really get down “ .
@DoRC When you get a few more packs in can we get a full-on upgraded kagama vs upgraded Kraton video? Would love to see which one holds up better for you now.
It's a combination of things. The chassis slap is part of it but the longer you can keep the wheels from dropping the slower the car will bounce back up simply because there's more weight hanging in the air if that makes sense.
It's the bulkheads and arms that have always been the weak spots and all the M2c stuff just added weight on them. I've found the rpm arms to be more durable but the front drive shafts keep popping out the cups.. There's no solid solutions there.
I weighed the car before and after doing the upgrades and it gained .75lbs. Thats around a 6% increase. No nothing but not a huge amount either. Yeah unfortunately without a complete redesign the arms are still the weak point on this platform. They aren't horrible but could be better
Have you tried the RPM RC upgrade swingarms? They are definitely superior to all stock arms I've replaced them with, and they're available for the Kraton 6S. In fact, they have a lot of great parts for many models, and the selection grows all the time; probably worth a look...
Yes I have. I've had mixed results with them. I would say in my experience they are marginally better than the stock ones but not better enough to call the problem solved if that makes sense
I'm getting the Kraton and I think the m2c skid plate is best upgrade to keep chassis straight, what would you say would be next, hardened drive cups I was thinking, not going crazy just what do you think is essential?
Honestly with this version I would just drive it and see what breaks. I don't even think the chassis is wholly necessary as the stock 7075 one holds up pretty well especially with the updated tower to tower brace etc
@DoRC I'm taking it over the notorious but I would like it to flip easily in the air, I would think heavier would be better for that, I'll probably get the noto eventually but figured this one's better first
@chriszak3282 The center differential fluid doesn't really affect how it handles in the air because none of the tires have any traction. Since they don't have any traction they will all spin at the same speed pretty much regardless of how thin the center differential fluid is.
The question is can I use the old bulkhead with the updated parts original updated parts The reason I ask is I just got my notorious 6S V6 yesterday and I just smashed the front bulkhead and the lower and controller upper control arms and I didn't realize when I went to get all the replacements that the bulkhead wasn't shipping until January so I can rebuild everything except for that bulkhead unless I can use the older bulkhead I can always upgrade when the new ones come in
@DoRC that is very good to hear because that means I can order for now I can order just the stock replacements and then I can work on ordering upgrades like I definitely want that aluminum gearbox I just don't have the $100 to spend on it plus all the other parts I demolished. There was a short pole I couldn't see from where I was standing I hit it around 40 miles an hour. Demolished the lower control arm the upper control arm the shock standoff one of the shafts on the shocks bent and it destroyed the gearbox luckily that's about it about $100 in parts wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't just spent $600 on the car a couple days ago lol. That is the price of fun!!! Thanks bro appreciate your help
@sub-sonicwavescaraudio1814 Yeah poles and trees are definitely not good for cars. Glad the damage wasn't worse and this will be a great opportunity for you to get to know your car :-)
Do you think that the reprogramming on the Firma esc is somehow tuned to work best with the spektrum motors? Where the Castle is not and therefore might be likely to cause these motors to overheat? I ask only because I'm interested in upgrading my 6s ESC's without changing out the motors and that Castle looks like a good option.
It's possible but I don't think so. The motors themselves are actually pretty simple devices and it's likely that the increased efficiency would be seen with any motor.
@@DoRC That's a nice tool, I have never seen that before. What size do you have or recommend for RC? I see they have a set with a 5 in and 7-1/4. Maybe a single 6 in would do?
For sure. There are definitely a lot of great updates here but if you're happy with what you have you'll be able to pick up the parts you want pretty inexpensively.
The only thing I see with the new front hub design is that it would wear. And with that wear comes play. And there's no way to adjust for that play. Seems like Arrma solved one problem of not having the pillow balls pop out but created another problem of having no way make up for the wear. But of course I don't know this. Just speculation based on what it looks like.
This definitely is a potential issue. I suspect you would have to put a lot of packs into the car in order for it to really be a practical problem though and ultimately the hubs aren't terribly expensive so it's probably not going to be an issue for most people
Those spacers inside are what will wear, and they are cheap to replace once they get slack. M2c will also have Delrin replacements soon enough that won’t wear out
There’s so many gear choices throughout the years I’m getting confused. Sounds like this running the smaller ring pinion and output cups Not the EXB version ?
Are you planning to do a comparison vid between the v6 and the TC kagama? I was planning on grabbing the kagama, but with this new v6 Kraton Im syarting to reconsider...
Probably not as specific video to compare the two. I can tell you right now that they are pretty darn comparable. I think the Kagama handles a little bit better but this is probably a little bit more durable. Obviously the Kraton wins in upgrade availability and parts availability if you don't want to buy your parts online but honestly I would just be much everyone you think looks more fun. I really don't believe you would be disappointed either way.
I wanted to Upgrade to the M2c3056 skid brace on my new kraton but actually like the way the Stock skid curves upwards a little at the end. Do you think the m2c one is still a lot better?
I can definitely see the appeal in these, but I still think the redcat machete 6s makes for a better deal. Granted if youre at all considering the notorious the machete is not at all the correct choice. I like the low and wide game but I can see why someone may prefer one of these instead. On that topic, I found that a 1.3mm hex works just fine on those screws. Arrma actually used those on the v1 steel 2wd diff, then later updated to 1.5mm.
The machete is definitely a cool car and obviously cheaper but in my opinion this is a lot more versatile. The machete is good at going fast and handles really well but it's not very good at stunts and jumps. This strikes a really nice balance between handling and stuntability.
@ couldn’t agree more. The machete represents the opposite extreme that the outcast and notorious do. This is the popular middle ground, and for good reason. I just think the machete is a underdog product and category that deserves more recognition
Nice video man, there are few rc channels that I really like and relax me, do you have any idea if Spektrum has uploaded the new software version available for update? thanks
Im surprised you went with the m2c shock caps. I like the design of the exb caps better. The rubber gasket is better, it's not just a simple o-ring. And the copper gasket for the screw for a better seal also. Guess to keep m2c support it's better not to mention those things. 😅
The M2C one isn't a simple o-ring either. It's actually a quad ring. I've never had one of the M2C bleeders leak so I don't consider the copper gasket to really be an advantage. Ultimately though I don't think either one of them is really significantly better than the other but I wanted to have the silver caps which is 90% of the reason why I went with them :-) I also wanted to make sure that they fit with the new front tower mounts. The front tower mounts constrict movement of the shock cap protectors a bit so it was best to try as many things as possible.
@DoRC Oh that's good to know, I thought it was just a simple o-ring from the pictures. Maybe I'll try them next build then because I also like the raw aluminum look
@keldonator I've used them on a bunch of different cars and I've never had a single one fail. The only issue they have is if you really over tighten them the seal can get pushed into the shock causing it to leak but that's just a matter of not over tightening it.
If you’re a xcross guy , this truck is closest to the experience imo . It just gobbles rips like no other . Unfortunately xcross ends up being cheaper 😅 well maybe not todays 4 strokes there relative.
What where the differences between v5 and v6? Was considering ordering a v5 but the v6 just came out but I don't like the body colors. Would a v5 body fit a v6? Also do you think they'll discontinue the v5 soon now that they have v6?
Take a look at my previous video on it. I detail everything that's new. There's a lot. And yes I'm certain they will discontinue the V5. The V6 body should fit with the mounts but I think you'd also have to get the shock towers and possibly the rear wing because those are different as well
To be honest with this car probably none of them. It's darn good right out of the box. I'm sure the stock shock towers will probably bend eventually as they are the same 6061 stamped towers that this platform is always had and they do tend to get bent. The ABCD block kits are nice to have as the stock pins do tend to get bent and the stock bulkheads do tend to break around that area sometimes but personally I just wait and see what you break and then upgrade as necessary.
@@John_Gong-Memes at this time I really can't think of any. Arrma has addressed most things you would want to upgrade already. The steering's good the power is good cooling is good drivetrain's good tires are good body's good.
2 questions. 1. How much is spent on all upgrades? 2. What is the point of doing all that upgrades on the new version if you can do it in the previous version?
I'm not entirely sure. I had a bunch of stuff on hand already so I don't really know what the prices were. I also probably wouldn't recommend doing all of this. A lot of it was just to see what would fit and I enjoy the process and enjoy sharing it with you guys.
I seen a dudes vid yesterday , sorry I forget who but he has 5 kids , on a 6s exb and he switched out the steering screws on the ends of the steering rods with longer socket head screws and a locknut and it looked like a worthy and cheap addition . That little 2mm under the ball screw also got a socket head and off the servo saver same thing .
@@DoRC I bought the Kraton 6s v6 for that reason and I’m still lurking on the kagama you know how it is I’ll just wait for a new kagama update lol thanks bro I appreciate your videos and never leading me astray Every time I run and look at my V6 I’m always like in awe it just feels different and innovative I had Ty e kagama before it would break a lot due to my skill level at The time and I finally built a ramp so I can. Stop bashing in dirt and ruining my Car
Oh Snap! I’m saving up to buy a Kraton or Outcast/Notorious. In your opinion would it be better to save a little longer to get the 6s versions or do you think the 4s is worth it? My plan of use would be bashing it but not intense high jumps 15+feet in the air.
Either one is good. I think this version of the 6s beats out the 2.5 version of the 4S by a little bit but I don't think you'll be disappointed in either one.
Ive never liked the set up on the 6s kraton. Ve got 2 4s kraton. Currently building a new one with the 6s power system. I hope in the next couple weeks i can buy the new 150 amp esc
@DoRC I don't like the center diff setup. I like the 4s module design. I also like the plastic over the aluminum. There's more give when jumping and bashing around. The 4s I'm building has the 6s tires and the garage life rc wing mount. I'm going to put a 6s system in it. But I would like the latest 150 amp esc. Thanks for the message
@DoRC also I just got the valkyrie mt Nov 20th. I bought it because I like how it looks and pretty good reviews. But in person this thing definitely seems generic compared to my kratons. But I picked it up for $239. Haven't had it out yet
@CrystalPlantz That all seems reasonable. I think plastic versus aluminum is definitely a personal preference. The module, as long as it doesn't get stuck in the chassis is nice on the 4S cars.
@CrystalPlantz at $240 I don't think you're going to be disappointed. It definitely does not have the quality of some other cars but it's more than worth $240.
Nice, but you mention that these upgrades 'take the truck to the next level' - what level is that exactly? I can guarantee that not a single part bar maybe the shock pistons will make a discernible difference to the way the truck drives. I get that all the aluminium upgrades are more durable in some cases than the factory pieces, but they're also a lot heavier and many times more expensive. So far as I can tell the net gain is a slightly more durable truck, and the net loss is hundreds of dollars and a heavier vehicle. I get that it's fun to upgrade things, it just seems slightly pointless. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.
Tye weight isn't as much of an issue as you may think. The entire upgrade added .75 lbs or around 6% to the truck. Not nothing but not a ton either. I think the pistons, towers, ABCD blocks, output cups hexes and motor mount are all good upgrades as they all either address weak points, add performance or add functionality. Some parts definitely weren't necessary but I was trying to determine compatibility with the new platform so it was still worthwhile to install them, As far as "next level". That a bit of hyperbole though I'm not sure how you could level this up other than to add upgrades. Ultimately though the video is entertainment. It's not really meant to show what should be done. It more to show what could be done and to have a bit of fun along the way:)
You should weight that thing now to see how much more it actually is.... people gave me crap about my fully upgraded typhon even vitavon hubs and bulkheads it added 1lbs
I forgot to mention the video but I did actually weigh it before and after. It gained 3/4 of a pound or around 6%. Not nothing but not bad. A lot of people don't realize that when you put upgraded parts on you're taking the original parts off so the weight increase is just the difference between the two not the weight of the upgraded part.
@@RC4us It's understandable though. Intuitively when you see a giant pile of aluminum it feels like it's going to make the car weigh a lot more. That's why it's really important not to try to view the world through our own intuition. It is very often wrong
Those things drive me crazy I find and make all kinds of shims , I don’t like the slop especially if I spend a day building/tuning “ the perfect ripper “ what do mean do away ? 😂 mean better tolerance or just allow the slop . More slop is more durable but also not as precise. On a live someone asked JD the arrma ceo could we get kits , and he said reason they don’t is that the parts are never the same , I thought myself about those shims , how there’s always different amounts meaning each part made has different specs . Between reading comments and my a.d.d I have rewind couple times plus you talk fast 💨 😂
WOW! what an AWESOME rebuild and bash!!! Thanks for letting us be a part of it!!!! we should have our car this week. And we'll get those updates ready!!
Sweet can't wait to see the updates you make!
Master mechanic working on RC. Im no mechanic and this looks daunting lol. But i cant stop watching and learning.
I don't know if I'd call myself a Master mechanic but I have been turning wrenches for a while :-)
Just a tip, get a piece of cardboard and stick the screws into the cardboard as you go so you don’t have to worry about knocking them over or them falling
Definitely a good tip. I used to do this all the time working on cars but tend to get lazy and don't do it :-)
Man. I just want to say I'm amazed at your knowledge and expertise. I don't know how I've fallen into this RC rabbithole but thank you and keep going! God bless.

All your words are sideways!
What a great build, you dove into all of it great to see and what a beast you created. Thanks
It definitely is a tank!
Yeah that's why I specified the real hammer. When it comes to something you only get one chance at it's best to give yourself the best chance :-)
I’ve used whatever has been within my reach lol.
@Rc-Krazy Yeah and that definitely can work I just think with these one shot deals it's best to give yourself the most advantage you can
M2C is the Godfather of Arrma 💪🏻upgrade options and your video editing is such a welcome and unique approach to Arrma truck content. Very good. Thank you for your time and enthusiasm.
I'm really glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching!
Excellent as usual, especially that tip on how to easily change the shock piston.
Yeah it's definitely not the cleanest way to do the piston but it is by far the easiest :-) You can do that upgrade that way and maybe 2 minutes per shock
love the dedication the DO RC!
Thanks Glad you enjoyed!

killer video, so much knowledge packed in each of your vids bro!
Thanks:)
What a great tear down video! Thanks for all the detail. Just really well done in all aspects.
Thanks Glad you enjoyed!
WOW. Next level video here. I had zero interest in Arrma until now. Thank you for all the energy, information, and passion you put into this one ❤
Thanks Glad you enjoyed! I had fun making it :-)
Excellent!!! I love the new v6 and good to know almost everything fits. Great build man.
For sure. Some stuff needs to be EXB and some stuff RTR but most stuff definitely fits
Really enjoy these extensive upgrade videos (the Kagama one was good too). I would be scared to see the final retail cost of something like this lol.
The first rule of buying a bunch of upgrades club...
Love seeing builds like this! Car seems amazing stock but nice to see someone pushing things to see how far it can go.
Yeah I was really curious to see what would fit. Now we know :-)
The V6 is a beast, probably the best bang for your buck out there. And those mods, look killer but not sure they're needed. Great job!
Yeah that construction site is awesome and the Kraton ate it up.
Your the 🐐 with these upgrades 👌🏾✊🏾
Thanks!
I love build videos, thanks for making this!
Glad you enjoyed I had fun making it!
Torx on stripped screws only works occasionally. I found left hand drill bits work great! FYI
Yeah there are a bunch of different options some work better than others. I try to use the torx first because it's usually the easiest solution and one that you can usually only do before you start doing other things. I go over most of the options in my motor repair video from a few months back
@ I was just mentioning because I rarely hear anyone else. I’ve never had that solution fail in any size screw. Even in real life handyman scenarios.
@RBRCbashem interesting. I've had poor luck with left hand drill bits
@RBRCbashem sweet. As a mechanic I think some of the stuff I've been up against might be a bit more ornery.
Awesome vid! Loved the upgrade/bash portion. Scratches my “Imagine if you took this up another notch” itch. If there’s a word for it hahaha.
I was looking at Horizon and didn’t see the new K6s yet
It's on there. I have a link in my previous video
Damn son! That is one nice build. Probably the only one like it as of right now.
Yeah I don't think anybody else is done a big upgrade like this
Love your editing!
Glad you enjoy :-)
I use a 4x10x4 bearing to replace the shim do-hickies at the upper hinge pin. An aluminum upper hinge holder is a must
Seems reasonable
Great upgrade & bashing 👍
Thanks!
So in depth and awesome explanations!!! Great bash!!! You're definitely first to beefcake the V6!!!! Thanks for punishing the parts!!!
Glad you enjoy it! It was definitely a lot of fun :-)
Very cool upgrades, awesome video 👍🏻
Thanks Glad you enjoyed!
Very good informative video! 👍👍👍 Great job 💪💪💪
I mean informative yet entertaining, which is rare
Glad you enjoyed. Informative and entertaining is what I'm going for!
Absolutely gorgeous, please let us know, when m2c has adjusted parts for the V6...
Not sure I will know necessarily when it happens but guys like duper bash usually make videos about new upgrades when they come out though
Definitely an ultimate build 👍 it looks like the new knuckles have fixed the front driveshaft from popping out all the time. I might have to buy a set and put them on my big rock and test for myself!
Yeah I can't guarantee that no one will have the problem but so far so good. I'm not sure what the difference is but it does seem different
Your videos are so informative
Thanks!
Awesome video!!! 👍 💪 Please keep doing what you're doing!
If you guys keep watching them I'll keep making them!
Damn. I would love to have your weather late November!
Yeah it's a double-edged sword though. Our prime bashing season has just started but that means that all summer it was pretty brutal
That was a wild upgrade. Arrma is doing great by upgrading all the platform they have
I agree. It's always great to see a new platform because that's super exciting but a lot of times what's best for the consumer is a platform that's been around a while that has been refined to the point that it has very few weak points. This has very few weak points
@@DoRCunlike what Traxxas do, they just change the colours on stuff and add heavy duty things on parts that are not needed
19:02 “time to do some sketchy shit 🎶do da 🎶do da 🎶 hope I get away with it 🎶oh de do da day “
Pretty much:)
Nice install brother.
Thanks!
Yeah I think one eighth scale is the sweet spot between size mass and versatility
kudos to arrma for buildng great platforms out of the box.
@@DoRC most people wont know that ahead of time without great thorough content like yours. keep it up bro.
@@gamedogrc If you guys keep watching I'll keep making!
Fantastic work, dude! What a heck of a truck! 😃
I still don't like how it looks... But I guess I don't hate it anymore. 😂
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I think if you had one in person it would probably grow on you even more. It's different but pretty cool
@@DoRC In your case thick shock oil and stiffer springs to absorb the landings would probably be best.
I love watching your videos 😃 and that's is one bad ass rig you built 💪🔥
I'm glad you enjoyed and it was a fun build!
Great rc channel
Thanks!
I use a plastic divider box for like fishing lures and place screws in each section as I go and go backwards when putting back together
Nothing wrong with that.
Arrma did good, esp with the electronics. M2C is deff number 1 I love their upgrades.
Yeah M2C does a really good job with their stuff. Good to support a US company too
@ I highly agree, really quick shipping.
Sick video. That looks like so much work lol.
It was a lot of work but it's also a lot of fun
just found your channel great production and information!
Thanks Glad you enjoyed!
This was your best "bashing" footage yet. Hopefully you can keep bashing with a bit more of the tougher stuff in your videos going forward!
That's definitely a good price for the XRT!
one of the best channels in ths hobby. ❤❤❤
Only because of you guys! As long as you keep watching I'll keep making :-)
You should add thermal compound between the motor/heatsink interface.
Eh. It will definitely help with heat transfer but in my experience it doesn't make that much difference in RC cars and it makes such a mess
Looking sick pretty sweet upgrades...
Yeah It came out really nice!
That’s exactly how to heat up a screw or a lighter and a flathead has worked for me in a pinch several times 👍. DoRC , the dude
Yep. Always good to do it before you strip out the screw head too :-)
So what parts do you suggest i replace first? Like the majn parts that break or wear out easily when i get the car brand new
Unless you have a specific idea in your head as to what you want to upgrade I would just get it go have fun with it and then upgrade if you find that things are breaking frequently. A lot of people put a lot of upgrades on their car that they don't actually need and unless you just find that part of it fun it can kind of end up being a waste of money
Looks like a nice, quick and cheap upgrade! 😄
Yeah whole thing took me about 20 minutes :-)
Very cool upgrade video and bash session. I ordered this beast and now I’m glad I did. I had other choices but went this one. By the way what batteries are you using and are your finding the Kraton is running better 4S or 6S and is there a terrain difference. Again thanks for the great content. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏁
I always run on 6S and I really like to use SMC batteries. Usually something in the 5200 range
I never really liked those skins. In my experience they get scratched up and then become really annoying to remove.
@DoRC
When you get a few more packs in can we get a full-on upgraded kagama vs upgraded Kraton video? Would love to see which one holds up better for you now.
Not a bad idea!
about the whole piston thing and slowing rebound. im would bet that the bounce from landings is mainly due to chassis slap, which you want.
WTF all those upgrades looks like they cost more than the truck 👍 nice build 💥
Well yes. M2c is super expensive. But really nice. I have a tekno mt410 with many m2c parts it wasn't cheap 😬
Yes they did cost more than the truck :-)
I here you I like to upgrade when I buy a new model 👍
I was mostly curious to see what would fit and what wouldn't fit. Now we know :-)
Good to know for when I pick up a new model👍
Well Done!
Thanks!
Thanks, What about center diff oil weight, you think stock is good weight
@@chriszak3282 start with stock and see how you like it. I like thicker fluid but that's a very subjective thing.
The question is can I use the old bulkhead with the updated parts original updated parts The reason I ask is I just got my notorious 6S V6 yesterday and I just smashed the front bulkhead and the lower and controller upper control arms and I didn't realize when I went to get all the replacements that the bulkhead wasn't shipping until January so I can rebuild everything except for that bulkhead unless I can use the older bulkhead I can always upgrade when the new ones come in
Yes I think all of the parts are cross-compatible.
What adjustable wrench is that!?
Knipex pliers wrench. Expensive but excellent!
@@DoRC That's a nice tool, I have never seen that before. What size do you have or recommend for RC? I see they have a set with a 5 in and 7-1/4. Maybe a single 6 in would do?
I built a pretty solid rig the few upgrades will be the hubs and clipless body … not worth a new buy for me but worth grabbing the upgrades
M2c will also have Delrin replacements soon enough that won’t wear out
First time viewing.
Did they update the ring/sun pinion gear to EXB as well?
The ring and pinion gears are the same EXB ones that we've had since the beginning.
@@DoRCI think he was asking if the v6 comes with the EXB diffs in it or if you had to put them in it.
@Stepside906 Yep you're right I misread What he said
There’s so many gear choices throughout the years I’m getting confused.
Sounds like this running the smaller ring pinion and output cups
Not the EXB version ?
@@Havingoneofthosedays- sorry I misread what you said. The V6 version has the EXB differentials front center and rear
@@DoRC Thanks for the reply! So even with the arm weakness for the kraton, you'd still say its more durable?
I wanted to Upgrade to the M2c3056 skid brace on my new kraton but actually like the way the Stock skid curves upwards a little at the end. Do you think the m2c one is still a lot better?
The m2c one is also a chassis brace. I think it will provide most of the same protection as the stock one while also strengthening the chassis.
Nice video man, there are few rc channels that I really like and relax me, do you have any idea if Spektrum has uploaded the new software version available for update? thanks
I checked yesterday and it still had the old version. Hopefully they'll upload it soon.
Yeah it definitely handles the rough terrain very well out of the box!
The V6 body should fit with the mounts but I think you'd also have to get the shock towers and possibly the rear wing because those are different as well
Which of those Upgrades are really necessary? I think i cant afford them all😅
To be honest with this car probably none of them.
@@DoRC Are there any other usefull upgrades?
@@John_Gong-Memes at this time I really can't think of any. Arrma has addressed most things you would want to upgrade already. The steering's good the power is good cooling is good drivetrain's good tires are good body's good.
Where did you buy these spare parts?
Most of them are M2C You can get them directly from their website.
Sir, this is a YT channel - this is how you create content =)
I seen a dudes vid yesterday , sorry I forget who but he has 5 kids , on a 6s exb and he switched out the steering screws on the ends of the steering rods with longer socket head screws and a locknut and it looked like a worthy and cheap addition . That little 2mm under the ball screw also got a socket head and off the servo saver same thing .
Good tips. If I ever have issues with those I will definitely do that!
Price aside and parts availability car stock for stock who you got kagama or Kraton v6 ?
I think the V6 Kraton Just edges out the Kagama in overall value. They are very close though
@@DoRC I bought the Kraton 6s v6 for that reason and I’m still lurking on the kagama you know how it is I’ll just wait for a new kagama update lol thanks bro I appreciate your videos and never leading me astray

Just about everything :-)
Dam only thing you kept was the chasses
Nope swapped that out too :-)
Ive never liked the set up on the 6s kraton. Ve got 2 4s kraton. Currently building a new one with the 6s power system. I hope in the next couple weeks i can buy the new 150 amp esc
What don't you like about it?
The little rubber gummies in the shocks don’t fall out . How many people have lost those little balls while doing shocks ? 😂
Agreed. They are definitely superior
Yup and they oblong the aluminum, use fuel tube
So fucking excited about this vid. I’m at work so I can’t watch it, yet, though lol
Let me know what you think when you watch it :-)
Nice, but you mention that these upgrades 'take the truck to the next level' - what level is that exactly?
Some parts definitely weren't necessary but I was trying to determine compatibility with the new platform so it was still worthwhile to install them,
As far as "next level".
@ yeah but try explaining that to some lol
@@RC4us It's understandable though. Intuitively when you see a giant pile of aluminum it feels like it's going to make the car weigh a lot more. That's why it's really important not to try to view the world through our own intuition. It is very often wrong
Ohhhh Joy ☺️!!!

Thanks for watching!
good~~~~~~!!
Thanks :-)
I think at this point the only reason you would buy a sledge is for strong arms 😂
Yeah the sledge definitely has this platform beaten in the arms race. It's got its own weak points though
Yeah I do talk pretty quick in these videos. You can always just watch it twice :-)
@ I’m on my 4 th time here 😆
