I think the kraton 4s is the all time best, it's lighter then 6s more durable but yet same size and just as fast. It's the arrma 4s platform that I think is great. Hope to win screw drivers/ Allen heads. Thanks keep up the good vids.
Ok, I’ve watched r/c vids for the last 2 years before getting one. And this is the first I’ve seen of your videos & I’m blown away by the details you give. I’ve been watching crap. I’d just like to say thank you.
Welcome to the real world ! I started out with Talbot and Mark Santa Monica and got stuck in a Traxxass was the bestest ever lie and spent a ton of money on what I thought was premium vehicles only to be rudely awakened by a Fireteam fire sale a few black Fridays ago. Needless to say my collection has grown tremendously since then and went from Traxxass only to only 2 Traxxass remaining. It should be only 1 but you gotta practically give a Xmaxx away now to get rid of it. It just sits and collects dust since the Vigilante was released but at least it doesn't break as much now, lol.
Interesting. Someone else posted mentioning that stable SLT firmware is coming soon so maybe the version you have already has that. My comment in the video was based on my experience from a few months ago so things may have changed
Love your channel Brother! I've said in the comments on previous videos as a mere hobby shop employee, I literally get most of info about new cars from your channel. You do so well at covering all the tech and specs and absolutely love that you tear down a good portion of the vehicles and show what's really under the hood! Good job, great videos, and keep them coming! HAPPY HOLIDAYS RC'ers!
I literally found this channel this morning and I’m really happy with every bit of content I’ve seen. You and Derby City are two smaller channels I actually am starting to prefer over some of the larger ones. Pure passion for the hobby is shown in your content and we share a lot of opinions on the hobby. Keep it up my man! You earned a subscriber and loyal viewer today.
I’m loving what I’m calling the Triple D of RC: Do RC, Derby City and Discipline. All give slightly different vibes and focus, but compliment really well.
I'm sure he'll be very happy with the mini Max and it's durable enough that you probably won't have to be fixing it all the time as long as you keep it on stock power
I can't say enough good things about redcat, they have made HUGE leaps in the industry, my goodness anyone remember the "gen 1" volcano epx pro to be honest that was almost 15 16 years ago, and I look now terrific company making the right decision-making!! Good video man!
My first Arrma grom was the typhon blx and after seeing it was like this is kinda small but after running 3s I love it! It is very durable, fast, and a blast to drive! Back flips front flips 50mph definitely the best mini IMO
I just stripped a bunch of screws working on my car yesterday and that mip bit set would be MASSIVE! You've definitly convinced me to get that Kraton for chirstmas this year
Nice video as usual man, i agree with your choices. One of my favorite RC channels out for sure. Keep up the great work! I think the best release this year has been the Arrma Typhon Grom BLX. My kiddo asked Santa for one and i have a feeling he might be getting the blue one 😎
Amazing unbiased and honest video. Great job. The little ramp looked like it did well. Really liked this video and the runs with some of the RC’s you added in. By the way. I just ordered the Kraton 6S BLX in blue/pink. The Kraton was a maniac RC on your run session. It was like a cat always landing on all 4 wheels. The MIP bits will be a great give away. Thanks for doing that! 👍🏁🏁👍🏎️
Well to be fair it always landed on its wheels in the shots I showed. Had it's fair share of roof landings as well but overall it is pretty stable and I think you're going to like it.
The multiprotocol module does connect to SLT, you just need one of the nightly builds, not the latest official release. I used mine for my typhon grom blx until I swapped out the 2-in-1 for a hobbywing esc and a Radiomaster er3ci
Yeah someone else mentioned that and they said that it will be in the stable build soon! That's great to hear though I suspect a lot of people buying these transmitters would never even know to upgrade the firmware. It's definitely part of the complication of it
I couldn't agree more about the new Kraton. That said if a guy was really after those aluminum diff housing it's best to spend the extra $100 up front because aftermarket are about $100 each. I've only ever broken 1 diff cover on any of my Arrma 6S rigs
One of these days your channel is gonna explode with your in depth explinations and clear speaking this is really a great channel keep up the grind waiting to see you sky rocket once people realize the quality of your channel

Well for better or worse, some of the vehicles I bought for my daughter made the list. I bought her the Traxxas mini and a Team Corally Syncro4. I did buy myself the Arrma Typhon 223. What? I wanted a buggy too! I sincerely hope everyone here has a wonderful Christmas!!!! Thank you for the video!
@DoRC she is loving it so far, but gets a bit frustrated with how easy it rolls over. A few scratches and a few full speed hits, but nothing broken to date.
I have been having a great time with the Rlaarlo XTS Rally car. The initial launch is having a few bumps and bruises but once spring hits and the parts hit Amazon things will be better.

Awesome video. Getting into the hobby with my son and your videos are very informative. I appreciate how you breakdown each vehicle and give it an honest and thorough review.
The Arrma Mojave grom 223 would be my 2024 pick of the year due to it being a lot of good stuff to a lot of people and useable in most places ,price ,spec and overall fun factor too :)
Definitely a good choice! I think the one eight scale trucks are more versatile which is why I picked it but it's hard to go wrong with the value of the 223S Groms

Hands down the Valkyrie. It was my only big new purchase of the year, and I have to give it to redcat. A completly different car to other in the past (Volcano EPX Pro). Redcat has made a new customer. Hopfully upgrades are coming.
Unfortunately I'd be surprised if we see very many upgrades for the Valkyrie. Doesn't seem like redcat's super interested in doing a lot of upgrades and the aftermarket isn't huge on supporting them.
Ha ha I love that the mini Maxx won the best traxxas of the year award! Love the honest review regardless of possibly getting hate from the traxxas lovers. Great video as always.
For fun, I’ll throw in my favorite of the RCs I’ve obtained this year. The list is: slash ultimate, stampede 2wd vxl, mini erevo, machete 6s, kraton 4s, granite grom (brushed) and some amazon special 1/16 hbx knockoff. The best I think is the machete 6s. I did have a steering issue, but that was mainly my fault because I unscrewed a bolt not realizing it dropped a locknut into the slider mech and throw on a 8.4v bec. The bust was definitely the granite grom. Needed to much to take 2s brushless imo.
I just got into this hobby a year ago and you’ve been my go to for info and learning stuff. Keep up the good work I want to get the new notorious now lol
Thanks for all the “best of info” This is my go to channel for the best unbiased opinions. I’m not a great fan of the new Kv6 colors but you said it looks good in person so that’s what I’m gonna find out when I go pick up my new Kraton V6 for Xmas. Thanks again for all your work. Happy holidays

Great line-up and review of all the cool things we got this year. Definitely one of (if not the) best year for RC cars. I'd love to have those MIP bits just so I can gift them to my nephew - I got him into this hobby, he's about to get his first truck for Christmas, and maybe this way I can get him interested in the mechanic side of the hobby as well, not just the driving / bashing :)
@@DoRC a maverick quantum 2 flux; I think you know a little bit about it :) In all honesty, your video on the XT version, and the quite reasonable price helped me persuade his parents.
I agree with your synopsis of this year's cars. I haven't got a team coraley car yet but I'm going to get one soon primary because of your reviews. Thanks for the hard work this year, it totally paid off for us!
Like someone's already mentioned, I also think you deserve the "Best RC TH-cam channel of 2024"! 🏆👌👏 Thanks for the clear, detailed and unbiased reviews and informations! Always good seeing a new video from you on the feed! 🙏 Happy holidays!
I love my Kagama 6s and I'm getting myself some MIP drivers for Christmas. I finally catastrophically stripped out a grub screw holding the CVD to the stub axle and it won't drill out because it's so recessed. I have a new steering block and am waiting for new stub axles and then I'll pull the pin from the CVD and keep the shaft and throw away $20 of parts because i stripped a damn grub screw that was too recessed to Dremel a notch into. I don't know if i correctly named all the parts above. So yeah, MIP tools are now officially as cheap as my budget driver bits because the budget ones cost me $10 and $20 of parts. I keep adding ADU Racing parts to my Kagama as they continue to rock. This is the most informative and in depth RC channel for which we all thank you very much and happy holidays, sir. I got myself an AGF direct power servo 11-16.8v and it rocks. Even on 12 volts it gives 45 kilos of torque and i can once again turn sharp enough to roll over on almost any surface! People say it's overkill, but it's the best servo I've used by far. I fully tightened the servo saver, drove into a fire hydrant at speed while turning and the only thing that happened was a linkage screw ripped out its threads. I learned of AGF on this channel and I'm not disappointed with the performance. I saw Redcat's public announcement of the shocks issue and it was handled very classy. We sure don't see Traxxas doing that.
I picked up one of those ramps they are awesome! Now waiting till Christmas for my granite grom for some indoor winter bashing. I did test it out with a 1/12 inside. It’s cold and snowing here in Vermont.
This channel deserves way more subscribers! Keep up the great work and stay true to the hobbyist by providing thorough and honest reviews. Thanks for the chance to win those MIP bits

Awesome reviews. I love to watch honest reviews. Agree on your picks
There were definitely a lot of cars to choose from this year but some real winners!
Lots of info. Thanks. Love my Grom
Which one do you have?
Great line-up and review of all the cool things we got this year. Definitely one of (if not the) best year for RC cars.
I'd love to have those MIP bits just so I can gift them to my nephew - I got him into this hobby, he's about to get his first truck for Christmas, and maybe this way I can get him interested in the mechanic side of the hobby as well, not just the driving / bashing :)
What RC is he getting? Fixing the car is definitely helps give kids a good basic knowledge of mechanics
@@DoRC a maverick quantum 2 flux; I think you know a little bit about it :)
In all honesty, your video on the XT version, and the quite reasonable price helped me persuade his parents.
@augustin84d Sweet. It's definitely not the highest quality RC in the world but it's pretty reliable and he'll have a lot of fun with it!
I agree with your synopsis of this year's cars. I haven't got a team coraley car yet but I'm going to get one soon primary because of your reviews. Thanks for the hard work this year, it totally paid off for us!
Awesome which one are you going to get?
Thanks for a great years end review!
Thanks for watching :-)
Like someone's already mentioned, I also think you deserve the "Best RC TH-cam channel of 2024"! 🏆👌👏 Thanks for the clear, detailed and unbiased reviews and informations! Always good seeing a new video from you on the feed! 🙏 Happy holidays!
It's still crazy to me the people feel that way but I'm definitely grateful! Thanks for watching :-)
If you drive the pin out with a punch and then put a bunch of heat on the grub screw you might still be able to get it out.
Awesome videos, I love my groms!!!!!! Favorite cars of the year !!!
They definitely are awesome!
Ive got my V6 on preorder in the UK and cant wait for it to come. Love the fact its your Car of the Year!
It's definitely a good one. You'll love it.
Great work Buddy!
Thanks :-)
Love the videos , ur very thorough and speak well. Seams like u have been narrating awhile . Great job!
about as long as I've had the channel :-)
Great channel! Very informative. Can't wait to see what's coming in 2025!
Great review of all rc products. Would be great for new enthusiasts
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I prefer the ARRMA Kraton EXB but that V6 is moving in the right direction. Great car.
Yeah they are both great cars!
That is a nice charger, and MIP tools are a must.
I still prefer the s6 for my own personal daily use but it's hard to beat the value of the d300 especially when it's on sale
I picked up one of those ramps they are awesome! Now waiting till Christmas for my granite grom for some indoor winter bashing. I did test it out with a 1/12 inside. It’s cold and snowing here in Vermont.
Yeah for the money they are a no brainer.
