    At night, I dream of flying to Switzerland, doing a little wandering, then suddenly stumbling across both of these in a vending machine.

    Regarding length of pull, both B&T’s stock are similar. But the attractive thing about TP9 is the angle of the grip. Feels much better in the wrist when press against the shoulder. One interesting thing to mention regarding the trigger guard bottom shape, it’s that was redesigned to accommodate B&T proprietary holster locking mechanism. For anyone out here considering purchasing one, PonyUp and SBR that thing.. You will regret not doing it.
    Thanks for the detailed input.

    Watching your shoot i get the sense you enjoy shooting somewhat in a similar way to me - sure, hitting the target accurately is cool, but i enjoy the differences across all the guns in FEELING each gun’s unique recoil impulse and muzzle flip, change in temp (warmth) as it is fires repeatedly, its audio signature, and even the smell of burned powder. Collectively, a full sensory experience.

      So many people overlook some simple facts like "feel" or "looks/estetics". I love pdw/submachine guns and cold war era assault rifles. Today most guns looks like a AK or AR, boring.

    I’ve got one of these TP-9US. It’s an excellent firearm - but I wasn’t really satisfied with it until I got the Silencer, Stock, and VFG in that order. This gun is so much more fun and enjoyable to shoot with the silencer that I’d say it was one of the best NFA purchases I’ve ever made.
    The TP9 is a gun you really have to go into with the intention of going “all in” on to get the most out of. Otherwise it just falls short all around.

    I bought mine thanks to your first video. One con I'd like to add is how brittle the magazine floor plates are on these and some even reports the feed lips being brittle as well. It's a very common complaint among B&T owners groups. That being said your video is spot on. Despite its idiosyncrasies it's still one of my favorite guns just because of how fun and unique it is to shoot as well as own something so iconic. It's also typically a favorite when I take a new shooter to the range because it's light like a handgun, but recoil isnt bad and the stock and foregrip gives it enough stability that a total novice can drill tight groups within 25 yards.

    • @misha5670
      @misha5670 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those rubber bumpers that go on the mags can help with the floorplate issue too.

    • @Gun_Dae
      @Gun_Dae 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@misha5670in my experience it can only help the issue but not solve it. I've dropped a loaded mag with those bumpers on concrete and the floorplate still broke. At least B&T is good about sending replacements.

  • @timewave02012

    If the bolt and barrel move back together for some time, that's still a locked breech action, usually recoil operated. With blowback actions, even delayed, the cartridge pushes the bolt away from the barrel immediately upon firing. Delayed blowback just means there's a large mechanical disadvantage against the blowback force so the reciprocating parts don't have to be too heavy or have too strong of spring.

    • @misha5670
      @misha5670 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      And that's exactly what happens. The bolt and barrel start to move apart right way, but the barrel's rotation slows this action enough for things to work out, and yes to allow for a lighter return spring for the bolt. Its a neat system.

    I enjoyed the video. Sbr is something I've been tempted to try but never have. I feel obliged to do that with pap85 pistol, just not quite right with the brace but it is a pretty nice brace and just still on the fence about mo money mo paper work. I think it would be something like a skorpion that would push me over the edge. Still badass sub gun! Something about having it just so. Also that "lap top " is absolutely too cool for school. The devil is in the details!

      My first TP9 was from DSA and bought back around 2008-2009. So in otherwords, pre-brace days. It was not exciting. The 2nd one was better with the tailhook, but still i love how simple and compact the OEM stock is + having the foregrip is quite handy. That reminds me of the MP5K.

    I just want an accurate semi-auto version of the TMP, so with the front grip as an AOW. Is that too much to ask? Was there ever anything like that imported, even in a special limited order or anything? Or any TMP parts kits that say you could convert the SPP with or something?

    • @misha5670

      @bitfreakazoid 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@misha5670 This makes me sad. Hopefully Steyr or B&T end up bring in a true semi-auto TMP someday. I think it was either Lara Croft or True Lies that got me interested in it. Interestingly True Lies is also what got me interested in the "krink", despite what they actually used was a chopped down AKMS. I think it was that movie that is what really got firearms to click with me.

    Hey Misha, i just stumbled upon (and bought) a Zastava M83/93 revolver and i was wondering if you had any experinces or knowledge regarding the gun.
    I cant personally find much on it tbh and i figured you could maybe tie it into an overall video about some Serbian/Yugoslavian pistols if you were interested.
    Gun seems built well enough, very solid. .38/.357 DA/SA with a swinging cylinder and shrouded ejector rod. Very reminiscent of a Colt Python
