I'm a little late to the party but I had the same problem. I started take Blood Builder by Megafoods with a Vitamin C supplement and OJ and my numbers are on point. No more Iron Infusions for me. I am 25 years post op. BTW be aware of having caffeine ( Green Tea, my guilty pleasure) within an hour 1/2 of taking the supplement.
Omg I fell off the regime just when I got my numbers where they was supposed to be . I’m sad to say this worked but life happened and bam my first iron infusion was yesterday. Prayerfully I can get back on track and pull my numbers back up
