I was born and raised in Idaho. Left for quite a bit to live different places but came back and I'll never leave. We don't really ever leave the state to do stuff. We used to get almost zero exposure as a state and were just fine letting Utah and Colorado get the crowds. Things are changing a little bit as more people are discovering what we have in the Spud state but it never ceases to amaze me how there is zero chance that I will be able to explore all of the back country, mountains, lakes, rivers, etc. in my lifetime. I've tried, believe me, but these channels help me get to places I may never get to.
What a stunning landscape. I've never been to Idaho and too late now to try. I love the USA, but I live in England, where we have nothing comparable to what I've just seen in your video. I'm now reliving past adventures through you. Keep them coming, please. I have a ravenous appetite for more.
Soo beautiful! I love how your cuts aren’t fast and short instead longer and expansive it makes it easier to take it all in. Thank you! I can’t imagine how many batteries you gotta have haha
Another wonderful video Rob. It's my humble, but highly accurate opinion, that you put out the best overlanding content on the world wide web. Being as you're traveling much of the western side of the country, and you live in my general neck of the woods...I would thoroughly enjoy a quarterly behind the scenes type of compilation type of video of you traveling across the country to get to these beautiful destinations. Again, wonderful video with beautiful footage.
Very well done. Your films are getting better and better. Great footage, editing, narration, speaking to camera, and something people always forget, the storyline. These don't come together without writing a good story to put against the footage you guys shot. I look forward to the next one, my good man!
Just finished watching a couple of Brits with no AC in their Orlando home this was just what was needed appeared like you could reach the lake with a stock Tacoma but that shelf rd no thanks ,awesome country great drone work as always gotta love MT and ID
I have flyfished this area for many years now, but never saw these mountains up close. What an amazing trip, and what amazing scenery. I will have this one my list the next time I go to this area. Must have been amazing to be there in person because the videography is exceptional. Great job!
The Lost River Range is a gem. Home of Mount Borah, Idaho's highest peak. Bring plenty of extra fuel because it's the very definition of the middle of nowhere.
What can I say but wow, just stumbled across your channel today, great photography, absolutely stunning, jealous would be an understatement. Thanks for sharing and your hard work.
Beautiful footage of beautiful country. Think I may need to take a trip down from Alberta! Looks like a black bear running through the scrub brush to the right of the road at 13:51.
❤ hello favorite cousin!… This is a beautiful drive… It’s been 25 years since I’ve done this… I hope to make it to Wisconsin one more time… And I hope I can get you out here for a couple months… At least one time!… A room a couple weeks… 👍🏼
What an awesome video! I would love to meet you guys out there on your next trip to the area. I'm getting back into exploring but never on trips out west.
Interesting, we were hiking/camping right in that area as you went through. The various side canyons in central idaho can take a lifetime to explore but be prepared, it’s easy to spend several days in there and see no one else at all…
I'm so intrigued by overlanding. I've done cross country roadtrips living out of an SUV more 6 weeks before. I get so inspired from these videos. Is this a fulfilling lifestyle one can manage after finding this as my true passion?
Your videos are so great! Beautiful to look at, interesting places and good content too, which is not the case of everyone who’s making this kind of content !
For all you haters on roof top tents: I just don’t see how 3-5mins to disassemble is all that much of a hassle? This is impressive and only makes me want one more now. Looks easy and so much more versatile.
Is this route going to be available on your Patreon? I'm located down in Utah, and I'm growing tired of many of the places I know here. I need some spectacular waypoints to FINALLY convince people to explore with me. Absolutely stunning views, tempted to subscribe!
@@RevereOverland Please don't post routes to these remote places. Lost River Range is all they need to know. Let people get maps and explore on their own because the hype is how these places get spoiled. Otherwise great film. I've hiked this valley several times, it's one of my favorite places in Idaho.
Really nice job with the narration, video, and music. I just subscribed to your channel! You said Onx sponsored this video. I'm new to Onx, and bought a year to try it out. I could not find your route. How do I do that? It seems that Onx highlights every road out there, so I can't find the tree, because the forest is too thick! :)
Rob, thank you so much for this spectacular video! I've seen it over and over again (along with Will's video). Can you provide some detail of the route you took from Mackay to Ketchum? It sounds like you ultimately took Trail Creek Rd immediately before Ketchum, but what roads/trail did you take immediately outside of Mackay?
Should consider visiting some ghost towns west of Ennis, MT. No dirt road driving to get there, and people still live in them. Nevertheless, they are cool. Out of Leadore, thre's another town called Gilmore, another ghost town that people live in, stay on the road at Gilmore, and you'll end up at a beautiful mountain lake. Too bad you couldn't have taken a small detour off Trail Creek Road, and into Wildhorse Canyon. One of my happy places.

Unbelievable, I love watching how your content has progressed, your presentation is inspiring!
I could watch this drone footage all day. It's beautiful!
You never cease to have the best drone shots!! Love that scenery, it was almost otherworldly!
Any friend that come to the trail with Blantons and Eagle Rare is a friend indeed! Great video!
One of the many beautiful parts of Idaho. Lost River range is one of those places many have never heard of. It’s a true adventurers paradise.

By far some of the best drone footage on TH-cam.
Soo beautiful! I love how your cuts aren’t fast and short instead longer and expansive it makes it easier to take it all in. Thank you! I can’t imagine how many batteries you gotta have haha
Wow....THANK YOU! One of the best I've seen and love the music. Great job!
That race of packing up camp was "in tents", lol... Dreamy vistas and soundtrack, first class!
Maybe your most dramatic footage yet. So beautiful.
Idaho is so underrated. Great video once again Rob!
One of the best overlanding videos I've seen in a long time. This area is now on my list. Thanks so much for the great content.
the black bear at 13:50 ish was awesome.
I never even noticed that! Good eye.
Breathtaking view.Videography is just perfect.. Be safe and take care on your journey.🫡🫡🫡
Nice I was able to score 2 blanton's at state min price at a Kroger too earlier in the year. I got one for me and 1 for a fund raiser. 😀
I drove the Salmon Highway in July, also on the third, on the way home from Yellowstone. Terrific area. I want to go back and get into the hills.
That new camper shell/tent is dope!
Mate, this is what overlanding is all about!! Brilliant!!

The drive out there is just long hours of highway, or a very early flight in this particular case!
Plus a cranky baby who doesn’t fly well.
@@RevereOverland long hours of highway or not, you put out great content. Very inspiring, just gotta convince my wife to let me build my Tacoma.
I'm speechless, gods country.
Thanks for sharing.
Andrew
Your drone shots are just amazing! Seriously the best on here! What an adventure! Great Job Rob!
Again, you are one heck of a cinematographer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best overlanding videos I have ever seen. The footage, the views, the trails. Amazing stuff man
Wow - what a gorgeous area!
This video is absolutely spectacular! The scenery was fantastic. Watched it on a 4k monitor and was like wow!
Very well put together video.
Wow! The scenery is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome footage of our “backyard,” Idaho.
So beautiful. You just got another subscriber.
Happy Trails.
Absolutely beautiful scenery! I've been to Idaho 3 times but not this part. I need this in my life. Great work as always.
Looks like so much fun! Can’t wait to be out there doing this!
This video popped up in my feed and is the first I’ve watched of yours.

Love the TPB samsquatch reference 😂
As usual, your cinematography is spot on!
The Trailer Park Boys is the best!
This video is spectacular.I wish I could be there.ENJOY THE JOURNEY FORGET ABOUT DESTINATION 👍
Great video. Idaho looks like an untapped exploration area. Nice work Rob!
All I can say is wow. Great footage!
breathtaking opening shot
That was Will/Venture2Roam’s shot! I stole it.

I did Lost River last weekend. It was incredible.
So great! Love that intro
Blanton’s! Don’t leave home without it!
The views are crazy mad beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing. I hope I can travel to see views like this one day! Majestic!!!

One of your best yet with that scenery. Wow!!!
Awesome content dude. Those opening shots were incredible! 🙌
came for the overlanding and views, got super excited to see blantons. hard to get ahold of it here in GA but its a personal favorite.
Did you know there was a bear running from you from the right of the trail at minute 13:51 heading towards the trees just ahead of the trucks!!?
Nope, I didn't!
WOW! Just unbelievable!
Love your videos!
i LOVE that dark cloudy weather, and mahn what spectacular shots u took. Amazing video!

As always, you have some of the BEST camera work anywhere, lovin' it!!!
Happy to see you collab with Will and his fam. Excellent video as always! Need an update on your fam and see them out with you again.
They’re great to travel with. My family will be in the next trip video since I picked them up after Expo PNW!

Awesome! I saw there were a bunch of hiking trails that look fantastic.
cool drive thanks for sharing!
Awesome, what a great scenery!!
Great video!
Did you see the critter at 13:52? Bear cub?
I’ve personally stepped foot in that cabin at minute 19:25, awesome place, too bad you got hung up coming down squaw.

What is the jacket you are wearing at 26:43? Thanks, and great video as always!
would also like to know please lol
I think the closest is the North Face McMurdo. His is from a few years ago.
"Looks like we'll have to hike in."
"Nooooo!"
Hiking - every overlander's worst nightmare. lol
Blantons is one of my favorites! Very jealous! Awesome video!
It’s good stuff, but in partial to Eagle Rare
Black bear spotted at 13:52. Cool drone catch!
Beautiful drone footage! You don’t need to air down your tires just because you’re on a dirt road. Only air down when you need the extra traction.
No way! Airing down drastically improves the ride and reduces wear on suspension components.
For all you haters on roof top tents: I just don’t see how 3-5mins to disassemble is all that much of a hassle? This is impressive and only makes me want one more now. Looks easy and so much more versatile.
That's a trip of a lifetime!
You guys are really good with the cameras, kudos. How do go home after finding spots like these…
Where you aired down is one of the nicest gravel roads i've ever seen lol isn't that how it goes.
Yeah it was smoother than the paved roads!
Great video. I miss exploring up in that area.
WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Where's the triple like!?

Rob, you said you flew out for this trip. That was clearly your Tundra. Do you leave it out west? And have the Jeep back home?
I live in Mackey
I have been watching trail Recon, Epic family road trip, Story till now, White , dog overland, But this is the first time i have seen Montana.
Unbelievable videos, especially the drone shots… what radio are you guys using? Sounds pretty good on camera…
