An idea for the future if things freeze up in the steering rack like that again -- try heating up some rocks in a campfire, then placing under the affected area. Stuff some snow around the rocks to insulate the heat and direct it upwards towards the frozen part
This trip was super fun... always cool to have a drone operator that can actually fly a drone straight and not crash... there are some really great shots in this. Come back again soon, I have lots more to show you...especially when it is warmer.
It was an awesome trip. It was great hanging out, and I appreciate you letting us stay!
Watching the video right now where Casey250 crashes his drone. 😂 awesome place in Atlanta. The wife and I need to make a trip out there next year for sure
Drone operating is fun but crashing is inevitable at times lol
Really cool to see Nathan in this one, I really enjoy his channel. But did I miss when he had to split off?
My favorite TH-cam channel! I have just lost my best friend and will be traveling with my husband to different parts of the US in our 2015 Tacoma turned overlander! You have given us so many places to explore! Keep these videos coming! We would appreciate any advice! Maybe we will bump into each other on our travels!
I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you have a great trip though!
When I retired in 1999, we drove from Colorado up the eastern Alaska Highway and returned on the Casiar Highway. Deadhorse was OK, but I’d highly recommend going to the top of Atigun Pass, look north and turn around. We spent 2+ months and drove 10,000 miles. Awesome adventure! We crossed at Chicken, AK on the way, then returned after ferrying from Haynes to Skagway back home.
The Kenai is worth it. Hope, AK unique. Of course McCarthy and the Kinnicot mine. Denali if you get to see the entire mountain. I’ve seen the entire mountain now on all 5 trips I’ve made. Valdez is interesting where the pipeline ends to load onto ships. Lots of opportunities to see glaciers from driving and hiking up to, to taking a sea cruise to watch them calve.
On and on…one month is a rush!
Congrats🎉 on 100k subscribers. Love your channel
Thanks so much!
Awesome work brother
Thanks for giving the guys a taste of our hometown beer. I love that stuff!
Kentucky Ale is great. I just can't get into the bourbon barrel stuff though!
Rob. You’ve got this movie entertainment thing down! ✅✅✅. Really enjoyed this again.
Thanks! 👍
Thanks! It's the way to go!
Bow down to me peasants!😂
Love it!!!!!
Well deserved Rob. Congrats!!!
Winter wonderland was beautiful. Thanks again for sharing!
😂
@@RevereOverland Perfect comedic timing on the edit… that brought me a good laugh… I might have to do a “sympathy sub” also! 🤣
So gorgeous there love old towns and the history congrats on 100 k, awesome video and trip as always be safe 👍👍👍👍
I will only visit a fraction of the amazing places you are able to go to... thanks for sharing, that drive out was amazing.
Beautiful trip! Thanks for sharing. Congrats for your account of followers!
Great video Rob, and congratulations hitting 100,000 subscribers!
Thank you!
The timing of the eagle shot, driving the convoy in the background, flying a drone, getting everything in frame, while keeping the focus of the camera perfected on all the main key points needs to be talked about more. That is no small feat to get all of that, especially given the terrain. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
So gorgeous there love old towns and the history congrats on 100 k)))
Congrats on 100 k ! Beautifully captured. Fun times. 👍❄️🤙
Soooo beautiful! Thank you for bringing us along with you and your band of friends!
Congrats on hitting your goal Rob!
Holy crap i drive this road to a hotsprings ALL THE TIME I live going through twin springs its such a nice little get away its awesome to see a road ive traveled many of times in a video.. i actually blew my rear diff on this road about 1.5 years ago
Little know fact about twin springs its a family owned resort and its the family that lives and runs the resort.. sadly they closed the bar down after covid you can use it as a mini convenient store for small things instead of running all the way to town
Congrats on your 100K!!! Great adventure
I've been to twin springs. Stayed in the Rock house. Had a hard time getting back out after a big storm hit but made it. Beautiful area
That's awesome! It's definitely a beautiful area!
Great episode! Congratulations on 100k subs! 👍
The drone footage at the end of the bald eagles and the mountains surrounding them was a perfect shot of America's beauty. Awesome video!
I grew up in Kentucky and I've recently moved to Idaho. Looking forward to retracing some of these routes in my Bronco. Keep up the good work.
Good move!
Great video and congrats on the milestone.🎉
Ok, the shot with the bold eagles was awesome. Great video!
I enjoyed every second of this video.. but I was almost having an anxiety attack watching you get back down that hill. Woo!!
Boards don't always work, but when they do they work well. IMO everyone should have a set in their recovery plan alongside a winch, kinetic rope, etc. Fun video to watch since your also in my back yard ... I'm familiar with every spot in this video.
Absolutely! They’re one of several tools to help get the job done. I just wish I’d remembered to switch the socks to the front to try them properly going forwards
Awesome!! Winter time is the best time!! Nice Tundra!! Wish i could have brought my Nissan Titan pro-4x!!
Congrats on the 100k!!
Congratulations on hitting 100k, such a massive accomplishment 🙏 And what an awesome video, such an inspiration & why you hit 100k 👌 Gotta have those goals, I was hoping to hit 2k by year end, not quite made it but still all good 👍
Congratulations Rob on reaching 100k subscribers…. Cheers and on to 200k. 🎉
Thank you! Next goal is 1/4 million, but I’m not sure when to set the deadline for it
Thank you gentlemen for the video.
That video turned out awesome!! It was nice meeting you and thank you for mentioning the lodge on there! Let us know when you are back in the neighborhood sometime.
Thanks for taking us out! I’m sure we’ll be back for more adventures
You’re welcome for the ride! And I usually lose internet in videos half way through, but that was very well done and we watched the whole thing! And then we watched the Utah one. I did mean to ask what drone that is you where using?
"Breathtaking" is really the only term that I can think of to describe how it looked up there!
Really fun trip to watch. There is a big difference between off-road snow and on-road snow. When you packed down that wet snow, it became road snow. I had Nito Ridge grapplers on my Tacoma and they were garbage on road when it snowed. I’ve since changed them to Toyo open country AT 3’s which are night and day in the snow.
For someone driving a lot of packed snow I’d definitely recommend a 3PMSF tire, and neither the Recon or Ridge Grapplers are! My old AT3s were great in the snow. My KO2s were even better, although they were awful in pretty much every other way!
Excellent video once again! Well done. And thank you for sharing. It's interesting that I was driving that road with my family today looking for a Christmas tree. And that same night I'm watching your video after the season's first decent snow storm.
Nice! Did you find a good one?
@@RevereOverland yessir
Brilliant, superbly done congratulations. 👍
Such a fun trip! This video came out so good. There was a lot of pack in to one video haha
I'm looking forward to seeing your take on it!
Nice video montage. And mostly... CONGRATULATIONS Rob on your 100k subs !!
Awesome video!! I spent 13 years driving that road to empty 9 dumpsters in Atlanta. We would go every few weeks and do it all year long. It was awesome watching you travel that road. I got stick in an avalanche one winter. Hope we can meet up sometime out on the trail! We just hit 1000 subs...100k seems a lifetime away. Thanks again!
What a beautiful drive you did, but I can imagine it could be sketchy at times. Apparently their new mailman wasn’t carrying any survival gear until someone had words with him.
Congratulations!!! We have the Nitto tires on one of our JL's also and love them. Great tires! Cool shots of the eagles!
How do you like those recon grapplers, I’ve read the rubber is a little firmer and they provide less traction than the ridge grapplers
@@Jason-bd5iqYes, you are correct, I was told they have less traction than the ridge grapplers however, since this is also my daily driver, I didn't want to hear the tires over the radio. I've not had any issues going anywhere (not a big rock climber!) and they have enabled me to go everywhere. Out in Quartzsite, AZ on several pipeline roads and had no issues on either the hard pack, rocky, or sandy terrains. Would recommend them to anyone.
Awesome video! Thanks for the views!
Brooo! Congrats on 100k my friend and what a video to put out and acheive that goal with just a few days to spare! Thanks to Nitto for this trip and what seems to be a pretty dern good set of tires for these conditions and the long highway trip there. Let this be the motivation to send you to 500k and beyond. Great video, amazing drone footage, and alil hardship to keep the freindships strong. Love it
Thank you! I’m very happy with them, and definitely appreciate them making this trip happen
Fantastic video! Congrats!
Lived there many years ago, so nice to see that road, that I've been up many times.
It's a beautiful drive and a great little town!
Congratulations in reaching that awesome milestone! Happy new year and wishing you a 100K more subscribers 🎉
Congrats on 100K Rob!! And I literally LOLd at the peasant scene. Great stuff.
Winter vibes
I like that you point out gear and stuff that doesn't work. Seems legit to get some sort of real world review of some of the equipment you and your friends carry.
Love this video format! Absolutely gorgeous!
Incredibly shot video 👏
❤ another fantastic video. I absolutely love traveling through the Sawtooths too. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas along with your family.
Man, I have come to really love your videos! Gonna watch this one as soon as I am finished with one of your long Utah ones. Love Utah and your drone shots!
Awesome! Thanks!
wow very interesting experience friend
OMG-- Paul/Rob Revere riding to the rescue of the frozen Bronco! And he is behind the wheel of something other than a Toyota!
Congrats on 100k!!
Congrats on 100k, great video 🎉😊
Always love your great content! I really like when you guys Collab together.
On a personal note, I hope you guys, the TH-camrs. Received an extensive raise in pay via TH-cam. Because yet again, they increased the time that each commercial break is. And the frequency that they occur. I know you guys have some control on how many commercials you have in each video. But I’m barely halfway through your video and there’s already been three breaks almost 3 minutes of commercial. Which doesn’t allow somebody to get into your video without having to put things on. Pause to wait for another commercial. If that wasn’t bad enough the commercial break seems to come mid sentence when you’re trying to explain something. Then when the commercial is over. I miss I portion of your conversation. So I have to rewind. And in TH-cam fashion. Their algorithm puts commercials in during a break in your video. So anytime you pause or rewind. it tells their algorithm that there’s a break and a need for another commercial.
I understand that you guys need to make money for all the hard work that it takes to put into these videos. But you do it mainly for entertainment purposes. When things stop being entertaining and turn to be annoying. Obviously nothing you can control. Your viewers, your customers, may choose to get their entertainment elsewhere.
I can’t wait until somebody comes up with something to compete with TH-cam.
And before all of the haters start responding like the true “Internet tough people“. I have already tried the paid version of TH-cam. Just like Hulu with no commercials. There are still commercials if you pay for TH-cam. I’m not against commercials, I know, therefore. But between The overabundance of them on this platform and how they cut in to what you’re trying to watch. It gets really annoying.
I hate to rant on your channel. But I do like watching it quite a bit. And as a content provider for TH-cam. You do have ways to reach them a lot more proficiency than I do.
I hope you keep on making your videos. And the second, the very second, you moved to a different platform. I will follow you there. Hopefully it’s better than themoney grabbing SOB’s that run TH-cam
3 minutes?? That’s crazy. And you can’t skip?
I ended up getting TH-cam premium so I could download videos for my son on our flights, and haven’t been able to go back to watching ads. They’re so annoying.
@@RevereOverland sometimes you can skip them. But I don’t know if it’s a glitch. On a couple of commercials, it will have a countdown till when you can Skip. As soon as it reaches zero. It jumps to another commercial. And the countdown starts all over. Or it’s a commercial that doesn’t have a skippable option. TH-cam just recently did commercial layout and platform. Which also extended the time that the commercials played this is the fourth or fifth time this year, where they have doubled, the length of each commercial segment. I know a little bit about advertising. What I do know is that people are usually paid for any advertising done during their programming. I’m not sure if you and your colleagues know that this is happening. But if you haven’t gotten any increase in pay based on the same parameters like views, or any other ways that TH-cam pays you. You should’ve at least gotten some type of pay increase five times this year. Based on their length increase. For example, at the beginning of the year, TH-cam had mainly two different types of commercials. One was five seconds long, the other one was 15 seconds long. The 15 seconds one for the most part could be skipped after five seconds. Then they raised it to a six second one and a 22nd one with the 22nd one being able to be skipped after five seconds. fast-forward till now. Now they are a minimum of 10 to 20 seconds long all the way up to two minutes and 30 seconds. The longer ones usually are able to be skipped but not all the time. I was watching music videos with my son and on a three minute and 12 second music video. We had to wait for a three minute long commercial. when that happens I just quit watching for a couple days.
I know it sounds like I’m complaining. You and some of the people that are in your videos aren’t guilty of this. But when you have a TH-camr that also advertises. You will click on their video to watch them. Right away a commercial comes on. Then as soon as that commercials done. Then they go and advertise whatever product they are promoting. Like a G one. After they’re done doing that algorithms sees a break in their programming. Then another commercial comes on from TH-cam. By that time I am well over five minutes into watching their video. If they’re only 25 to 30 minutes long.that stops being entertaining. Oh, and then to boot the person whose video you’re watching. Is wearing a hat A T-shirt and they end up talking about the item in their video. So if you add that to the overabundant extended commercials that TH-cam has. One could say that you’re just watching one long commercial.
The whole reason why I started watching TH-cam. As many of us have the same reason. As we were tired of paying for cable or satellite and having that bill, go up every month just to watch an overabundance of commercial advertising through that platform. But at least their commercials came during a break and not during mid sentence like the algorithm that TH-cam has.
Please keep pumping out your videos. And like I said if there is another platform that comes out that you’re able to move over to. I will be the first one to sign up.
Have a merry Christmas. I hope you and your family have a fun and safe holiday.
congrats on 100k Rob! well deserved 👍
Congrats on 100k buddy! Also, super jealous I’ve never gotten in on one of these trips.
You've driven my 4Runner on one of these trips lol

Lots of nature to explore here in Idaho.
Idaho is beautiful and wild
Stunning
I love the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale , but I also like dark beer .
THIS OLD GUY GOT A BIG CHUCKLE OUT OF YA ALL YOUNG BUCKS THINKIN YA JUST ROLL UP IN OUR SNOWY IDAHO... LOLOL. OUR SNOW, COLD, SLUSH, DIRT, MORE COLD, IS AT THE LEAST, DODGY TO BE HONEST. GREAT RECOVERY, GLAD YA HAD EACH OTHER AND AN AMAZING TRIP. CONGRATS ON 100K, AND FANTASTIC VIDEOGRAPHY. Hey Im in North Idaho! love it and I do quite a bit of off road exploring, have had Jeeps in the past but now am rocking an Xterra off road and loving it so far. I've actually looked at Recon Tires and thinking about getting a set.
Nice! Xterra’s are awesome overlanding rig’s! I’m Maxgear Armor if you need any armor products for your rig.
I really like them for an all round tire, but for your winters a 3PMSF tire might be best.
Just put a set of 315 recons on the f150👍
Excellent videography. Glad you all showed respect for the slick snow.
Great job guys. The tire socks do work, keep tire spin down they do rip easy. The tracks will work is you have multiple tracks. 2 tracks are a joke for most situations, 4 are better 6 are great. If I'm by myself I carry 6. If I'm in a group who also have them I carry 2 because we can use each others. For your camper locks 🔒 and other things to keep from freezing up WD40 works great. Just spray them down before your run. Can be messy and if you don't like that you can get lubricant for locks a dry lube that works great also. 👍
Yeah I was happy with them, and think that if I’d switched them to the front of the Jeep after turning around that I wouldn’t have needed the traction boards.
Congrats on 100k! Excited to see what you do with the Alucab on the Tundra!
Great Job. Nice work on the subs. Ive spent a lot of time in the snow and woods and those were for sure Cougar tracks. I rewatched that section about 10 times and used your key as a reference. Cougar for sure.
Thanks! We’re not trackers, so it’s good to know… if a little unsettling.
Wonderful Trip! Thanks for sharing!
I forgot you got a Wrangler and was hoping to see your Tundra since I watched David’s video and saw the Tundra on the dam drone footage.
David almost biffed it at 20:35 😆. Great video!
Yeah lol
What an incredible adventure! The perfect video to document your mile stone of 100k congratulations!
We love our diesel heater! We do add Diesel Fuel Supplement when the temps start to really drop to minimize gelling.
We've never had any issues with condensation in our GFC campers with dry forced air heat. We love winter camping! No bugs and only those who enjoy the outdoors as much as we do. 😊
We also enjoyed shopping on RevereOverland for our Maxtrax accessories.
Thank you Rob! It was so nice to meet you at Overland East this year. We hooe you enjoyed the Chocolate Mousse Bomb alng with all the other treats.

The GFC is amazing for how light and efficient it is. A diesel heater (or similar) solves all the condensation issues.

Looks like a solid trip guys! Driving is snow aways leads to full pucker at some point! Awesome test for the tires.
It was a great one!
What dates was this recorded? Great video and congrats on the 100,000 Subs. You deserve it!
This was recorded last weekend (12/7 - 12/10)
Congrats on 100k! Hard to be sure from the quick shot but the other bird looks like an Osprey
I didn’t consider that. I was thinking juvenile bald eagle from the footage.
I had a Ford Ranger FX4 that the steering would freeze up like that if I didn't brush out every bit of snow and slush before shutting it down on a cold snowy night. The engine heat would keep it melted while driving.
Great video guys....looks like fun✌
Thanks! It was a lot of fun
Love your videos especially this one as I am now a proud Idahoan. Congratulations on the 100K subs as well!! Keep these vids coming man. Great work.
Thanks! Idaho is beautiful!
great video, im pretty sure a propane heater adds a lot of moisture to the area its blowing heat in to
It’s a heat exchanger. No exhaust goes into the tent.
What a beautiful video!
Thanks! Talking of beautiful things, I was checking out your truck today... That thing's a BEAST!
great moving drone shots
Thanks!
Congrats on the 100K milestone. Another epic adventure...another epic video. Great work as always!
Nice Job Rob, where do I find that Jeep Selfie Stick? 😊
So rad you ran into @outdoorauto in this video
He’s a great guy
Great video man! (as always) Congrats on 100K too! And also, those were 100% mountain lion tracks.
I'd prefer to think they're bobcat lol. It's a little disconcerting thinking a mountain lion was walking right past camp!
Rob, Congrats on the 100k. I hear Will is looking for a bottle of Pappy when he hits 100k.....better start saving your nickels now.
Yikes! I better start entering the lotteries now!
Planning on heading up in Jan/feb
We just joined your station. Your content and quality are awesome. Keep em coming!
my husbands great aunts cooked for the miners at both atlanta and rocky bar. they were good friends with annie marrow. "Peg Leg Annie"
We live in Boise and if offroading in snow, run with chains, no substitute, dont need them often but when you do they work and would have made short work of the ledge road
You definitely can’t beat chains for stuff like that. Well… not without spending big money on tracks!
Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas!
Oh, man. Backing down a trail is harder than reversing a trailer, especially for IFS. In the snow, I can't even imagine.
Very well and yeah, that's a nice corner, interesting, cold but cool. Definitively looking forward to another vid of around this. Cool buddy-trip, will also look into the other dudes vlogs. thanks. Oh, and PS: That grill might just get that steering column (bearing) unstock - and do the breaktfast...
Congratulations!
Congrats on the 100K! Great outing with some great folks! How did the heater work for both tents?
Thank you! The heater is significantly less effective when you split it. It's like you get 20% of the heat when it's split in half. It was enough to keep us comfortable and the condensation under control though.
Hi Rob, another amazing video. If I could ask? Most all your adventures and video work are out west, why do you still live in Kentucky? Not that anything is wrong with Kentucky it's a very beautiful state. Just all the miles and extra gas to keep ending up on the other side of the state.
I do still live in Kentucky. I’ve done several videos here over the year, but no one watches them.
I watch them! 👍🏼
