Rob is the master of the hydro view and one of the reasons I TuneIn to his website whenever I see it available. Remember, to get some of these grates drone views, Rob has to be dropped in the front of the route, get the drone up and get the great shots of the vehicles coming through the scene, and then be picked up way in the front of the route again. Where's the all of these great drone shots require Rob to make a route travel twice so we can get in front of the whole group for these great shots.
Never Jeeped any in Moab, but during the 1990s my wife and I mountain biked most of the Jeep trails as well as what few mountain bike trails were there then. Stopped in 1998 when after 10 days of riding I did an endo and severed all 4 tendons in my right rotator. Had to bike 7 miles out with only one good arm. Your Jeeps look like a luxurious ride! I enjoy watching your trips. Thanks for sharing!
Safety tip for exploring old military sites, especially in the Southwest, be aware of hazards of Hantavirus from rodent feces (wear a covid type mask -N11 or similar) and also be aware that many older sites now abandoned may not be fully free of the multitude of hazardous materials/chemicals once used there…..nasty stuff! The tunnel you explored at Green River site was likely used for protection of telemetry and data cabling for launch and monitoring, as well as possible fueling piping for liquid rocket fuels. Great video brother, you do such a GREAT JOB of videography and editing…I really enjoy your channel!
I really enjoyed this. At the launch site those were cable troughs. That building was not the launch control, it is a wire room. Launch is about 5 miles away on the other side of I70. It contains a viewing tower, the launch room and 2 mainframe data centers and the satellite dish relay room that you can still visit. Utah is always fun to explore. :)

That waterfall was just a bit too much for the 4dr wheel base without 40s. We had to tug 3 of our group through there a few years ago. My Ramcharger’s shorter wheelbase allowed me to get up with 35s. But a few days later a spot like that on Metal Masher broke my trans mount. I had to finish with everything ratchet strapped. Having a friend in Moab with a welder to borrow got me all back together to finish that trip.

Nice. It was too windy at 50 mph and cold at 27 degrees last week to camp on a ridge. Deep canyons saved us. Winds die at sunset. I love my bag and my electric blanket on those nights.
Great video. I did enjoy it. One thing I really appreciate is a comment or two on a stock Rubicon vs a built up Rubicon and going rock crawling. My Sport is lifted 3 1/2 inches and my tires are 33's but without lockers I would have an even worse enjoyment of some of the crawling than you did. The scenery is my favorite part and you are doing it proper.
Loved it, Rob. I love your story telling, fantastic images and video flow. Something I have been wondering about for a long time while following both you and Justin: Elizabeth and Hillary could be sisters - are they?
Awesome video! The winds at the end were what my wife and I experienced in the same area on our trip. Our week long spring break trip was cut after 2 days because the winds were relentless. We started through black dragon canyon and eventually ended after eagle canyon and goblin valley.
I did those rock ledges before all the rocks were packed in it. 73 Ford bronco. Dropped the front bumper and pushed until the wheels touched. Then dropped on to the rear bumper then slid off it. you guys had it easy😊😊😊
I was there a week before you. We collected 100lbs of mud under the jeep, still it was breathtaking. Thanks for your previous San Rafael vid for showing us this fantastic place
Cinematic quality throughout, but in particular the technique around 11:20 where your subject is contrasted against a distance snowy mountain range with the camera sliding in the opposite direction to the subject travel is very interesting. Thanks again for sharing your experience
We were at Buckhorn draw, Swasey and Black Dragon a couple of weeks ago. It was very cold and windy as well. It was a quick night for us, too! Great campsites along the way. The San Rafael Swell is beautiful.

I rarely make comments on videos, but having just moved to Utah in October watching your channel has me so excited for exploring this summer. And the cinematography is top notch! For someone who is just starting to get their feet wet in the overland scene are there any must-have items? I'm going to be running a 2020 4Runner TRD Off Road.
You’ll have a great time! I’d just recommend starting close to home and seeing what you need. If you find you’re missing something you can go to the store and pick it up or just order it for next time!
Welcome to the state! If you live up north, American Fork Canyon and the Uinta range are a great place to get started out during the mid to late summer if you want to avoid the sweltering deserts!

If you have a snorkel mounted and I'm thinking about some really deep pools of water to go through just remember that if you don't have your rubber gasket properly installed you'll get lots of contamination in your gearboxes that require a heck of a recovery. Some people just keep driving with water contamination in their gearboxes but they'll pay later I wish somebody would go back to the fellow who claims that regular size tires are equal to big wide fat. I'd like to know for sure because everybody loves the look of the big fat tires.

The world is truly small. I must have been the next person to go to the spot up Temple Mountain Road. We spent two nights at the spot, the bag was still there and we burned the wood. Luckily we only had one night of wind. Enjoy your videos immensely. If you ever do a fan ride in Utah put me on the list to participate.
