Nobody has explained who the guy at the end is yet I don’t think ? Felt Easter eggy
I looked it up, he was in the video for the song Amazing along with Silverstone. She did 3 videos from the Album Get A Grip
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_London
Earlier songs include Walk This Way, Train Kept A Rollin, Dream On, Sweet Emotion and Back In The Saddle.
@@donnaneville192 Lord of Your Thighs, Seasons of Wither (unplugged!), and Woman of the World!
"Dream On"
Alicia Silverstone did a trilogy of videos for them, all from the same album. Cryin', Crazy and Amazing. The other girl, Liv Tyler is the singers’ real life daughter.
That’s right Alicia was in a few videos
AND Liv is imitating Dad in the dance, which I thought was crazy clever!
This video came out when I was a young boy, about 8 years old. Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler made me feel new things.
We used "Don't Want To Miss A Thing" at our son's funeral because it was the last movie we watched before he went into a coma. We had 18 years together so I'm thankful for that.
🥰 aww that’s a lovely memory…. Also sorry for the bad singing imitation 🫣
Another classic rock band education experience for the Irish girl that turns her more retro. This is why we love Diane.❤
Aww shucks 😊
@@DianeJenningswe’re gonna americanize you, just the good parts tho
Aerosmith has the jams I like a lot of their songs from the 70s to the 90s music so many good songs. Their a band that sounds real good live on stage. Thanks for sharing the rock and roll music journey. Woohoo
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Rock on with your jams Rickey
@@DianeJennings You too 🎉😊
In 1986, they did a collaboration with Run-D.M.C., "Walk This Way". This crossover hit introduced Aerosmith to a new generation, allowing for several hits in the late 80s and 90s, which is probably what you remember.
Just in case you don’t know, the other girl with her is Liv Tyler, the daughter of the lead singer.
Hi Diane! Aerosmith was huge in the 70s, but then they got all drugged out. They got sober in the 80s and put out a new version of their 70s clasic song "walk this way" but they also featured the rap group Run DMV. The song was a huge hit and helped launch Run DMC to stardom, and revitalized Aerosmith and gave them a second successful run. Boop!
I see! Yes, I hadn’t realized they were so big before the 90s run. Makes sense.
@@DianeJennings the RUN-DMC cover can be considered Aerosmith comeback.
The Run-DMC version is a cover, featuring Areosmith.
I’d rather be in the DMV.
Yeah, RUN DMC were already huge. The Walk this Way collab was a big deal because of the crowds it brought together and it was the first Rock and Rap hit by two established legends.
I met these guys in Sao Paulo like 2016 and they were awesome! Much calmer in their old age but super nice. Its still kind of weird he cast his daughter in this role lol.
And just so you know, Liv Tyler was 16 when the song came out, and Alicia Silverstone was 17.
The singer of the band is Liv Tylers dad Steven Tyler.
Some earlier well known songs are "Love in an elevator", "Ragdoll", "Dude looks like a lady" and "Walk this way" (just Aerosmith or Aerosmith with Run DMC, i like the second option better)
My first concert was Aerosmith. January 1998- it was awesome!
My Parents went to the first Texxas Jam Music Festival Concert at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Tx on July 1st 1978. Aerosmith played at the concert. Journey, Heart, Eddie Money and Van Halen also played at the concert. She always tells about the giant piece of pizza that were sold at the venue. One slice of pizza was like a large pizza and big enough for my parents to share as a meal. 🍕
Great line up
@@chipparmley Right, I like music from all those bands. Have Journey and Heart on LP Record. Aerosmith, Journey, Eddie Money and Van Halen have on 8 track tape. Got those from a thrift shop.
@@rickeycarey4556 very nice
Diane listened to Aerosmith. Yep, that’s what she did
And she picked the song Crazy, because of the vid
Dream On may have been the more classic choice
But she seemed to enjoy it and Steven Tyler’s voice
I did I did!!! 😊
@@DianeJennings I read that in your voice.
They were really big on the radio with hits in the 90s. I was a kid when Get a Grip came out with tons of hits on it. 70s, 80s, 90s, some hits after I think. Kind of a household name decades ago and a rock n roll staple. Super-successful and I still love them.
I grew up listening to Aerosmith in the 1970s. I would suggest checking out their 70s songs Dream On, Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion which are probably their most popular from those days, though those early album were very good. I lot of early fans didn't particularly care for Aerosmith's later material, especially when they used outside writers.
They kicked as- in the 70's. My #2 band behind Grand Funk Railroad.
There are 3 videos that Alicia is in. One I really like is "Amazing" which for some reason seems to be underrated, each to their own. They have a large catalog of hits that stretches over decades of which one of their earliest song is "Dream On" that you really must listen to.
liv tyler is actually the lead singers( stephen tyler) daughter!! she was in the lord of the rings, and is just super pretty, alicia is also easy on the eyes
Happy Monday to you Diane! Great choice for a band to react to. I enjoy some of "Aerosmith" and their music. This song was very interesting to listen to. Thank you for sharing this with us. Have a great rest of your week and all the best to you always! Your head bobbing as you were listening to the song was very cute too! 😎👍♥️
Thank you! You too!
0:34 Alicia Silverstone was also in the _Aerosmith_ music videos *Amazing* , *Cryin* . Before _Clueless_ she was known as the girl in the _Aerosmith_ music videos. Silverstone was 16 years old when *Cryin* was filmed
Oh I didn’t know that! Jaysus that’s young
Saw Aerosmith in the late 70s in Philly during their “Heroin Period.’ Tyler fell over on stage, but managed to pull the mike down with him & tried to keep singing. They were basically booed off the stage, one band member came back out and started cussing out the audience and was hit by a one in a million shot of a tossed empty Jim Beam bottle. Good times!
"Are they twins?" They've different last names, Diane! 😂 I always end up smiling during your videos.😊
Love that! It’s the whole point
You may think of them as a 90s band since that's when you were exposed to their music. An older hit of theirs you would enjoy is "Dream On."
FYI The other girl in the video is Liv Tyler, Steven Tyler's daughter.
Ya I stand corrected!
Even though they are a 70's and 80's band, this song was from the 90's.
You need to checkout their signature song Dream On. It is what put them on the music map.
I love the Aerosmith ride at Disney World. Even waiting in line was a fun experience because they played Aerosmith music the whole time.
I had the privilege of seeing Aerosmith, RUN DMC, and Kid Rock's(that last one took a turn huh?) perform Walk this Way in Boston a couple months before Grandmaster P passed away. It was an incredible. In that crowd, nobody thought about the color of your skin, just the music. THAT is Aerosmith's true legacy.
Enjoy the coffee ☕️, Strawberry jam, Future Hostess Snacks etc! Who would've guessed Diane loves the movie "Clueless"? Pizza party sounds good👍.
Thank you so much! Clueless is my bible
@@DianeJennings Kings and Queens!!!
I’ve never seen so much sparkly bling on a microphone stand before…. Awesome. 😁
Love these reactions, Irish Girl! Aerosmith were huge in my high school days and college years. Known as the Bad Boys from Boston, they were the ones our parents warned us about! Their success led to their rampant alcohol & drug use: the typical Rock 'n Roll lifestyle. While I've heard this song countless times, never had seen the video before; a wee bit cringy, considering it was ST's daughter, but helped to launch Liv's acting career. I'm really enjoying watching you on this musical expedition and looking forward to more of your excellent content!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying it Dan! It’s been really fun so far
Love your Videos your reactions are Great⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You're right that they were popular in the 90s among young people. They were just also popular in the 70s with those kids parents. Rare for a rock band to stretch across generations like that.
My mom saw them in the 70's and I saw them twice in '97.
Growing up my step-dad used to always tell us about how Aerosmith played his senior prom (before they got famous) and how he didn't like them then and didn't like them now haha. I always liked Aerosmith though, wouldn't say I LOVED them, but I wasn't opposed to them.
Well he sounds very consistent. Loving the vids lately. I keep forgetting to comment!
I’ll go back and do so
Had a school counselor who went to school with some if them. Like, Tom Hamilton was her date to the senior prom, kind of odd because he's about 6'3" and she was not even 5 feet. She said that he was drunk and she had to try to keep him on his feet as they danced.
One of my favorites is Hole In My Soul, from their Nine Lives LP.
"Wine, women and song"!. There truly is nothing new under the sun!
“Toys In The Attic”.
That might be a good start. ✌🏼😎
Steven Tyler was also on American Idle for a two seasons or so. Stripped off and dove in the pool to the surprise of the other judges and audience ...
Yup, I’ve been listening to them since I was little.
The 1974 Aerosmith Album Get Your Wings is a really good Album. My mother played whole album a lot when I was a kid while driving. We usually stopped by McDonalds to get a happy meal. 🍔🍟
Good album. I have it on vinyl, and CD. Cool mom!
@@BillW1 Thanks, Bill. I've heard that album so many times.
It has been ages since the 90's, those were the times. Darn I'm old 😂
10:18 I suggest *Sweet Emotion* ( Was used in the soundtrack for _Dazed And Confused_ ) and *Dream On* their first single.
I think I know dream on? He screams those 2 words a lot right?! 😂
@@DianeJennings That’s the one.
Classic
Fun song.🎼🎵🎶🎹
"Dream On" was their first hit in the early 70's. I started listening them with the album "Get A Grip" and "Big Ones". But I think "Dream On" is one of my favourite songs by them.
Dream On is definitively a must imo.
Love this one ❤
My favorite Aerosmith song is What It Takes.
Listened to them since they came out. Dream On is my favorite song out of their entire catalog. 2 is Uncle Salty. --Mike
Early Aerosmith, "Moma Kin" Great song! Later Areosmith, "Love in an Elevator"!
Happy Monday! I really love Aerosmith Song Crazy. Have a great week.
Thank you! You too!
The Majority of the songs in the Get A Grip Album Rock that also has this song in. I have this album on CD and digital.
I vaguely remember this song but once again you make a great video.
🥰 thank you
Saw them one night with Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent and Aerosmith closed. During the set a young lady rose to the top of the crowd. Carried by the amazingess. As she got closer to the stage .. Her clothing was lesser. When Steven Tyler sang "Walk This Way" and he got to "Give me a kiss, Like This" he reached down. Pulled the now unclothed girl up by the hair and kissed her... She melted into the audience .. So cool ..
Have a rough day. Hearing soooooo today, helps a lot.
It's all in the perspective, I suppose. To me, this was late Aerosmith. I remember listening to Aerosmith's music when I was a kid around 11 or 12 years old in 1974-75. The number of Spotify plays shows that the band's most listened to song is from 1973. Everyone has their favorite song, of course. However, I think the most anticipated song that closes their shows out is "Walk This Way" from 1975. Keep up the good work, Diane. I always like to see things from a different perspective.
Dream On is Aerosmiths greatest of many great songs!
❤ You're making a living.
A good earlier Aerosmith song from the 70's is Sweet Emotion
I thought Aerosmith was an 70’s & 80’s band, until they released this album, Get a Grip, in the 90’s & it blew my socks off. My other favourite songs from this album are “Cryin” & “Livin on the Edge.” The Cryin video also featured Alicia Silverstone.
"Walk This Way" is a pretty good hit of theirs from the mid-70s. They got the idea for the title after hearing it in the Mel Brooks film "Young Frankenstein".
Excelent choice your videos get better every time Miss Diane. I would suggest their earlier works like Dream on, Sweet Emotion ,Train Kept A Rollin' , Same Old Song and Dance.
Dream ON!
6:28 just realised they’re driving a fox body mustang from the 80’s😍
Gosh she's sooooo dreamy (Diane) ❤
The Song Living on the Edge from the Aerosmith music video from the Get a Grip Album stars Edward Furlong(teenage John Connor from Terminator 2) and Danny Cooksey(Known as Bobby Budnick from the Nickelodeon Tv Show Salute Your Shorts and teenage John Connors friend on Terminator 2]. A good song to check out.
Some earlier songs of theirs to check out, Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, (inspired by the movie Young Frankenstein), and Dream On.
It kind of cracks me up that you always seem to discover classic bands with some of their newer stuff. You should check out "Dream On", "Sweet Emotion" (without Run DMC. No offense to Run DMC), "Last Child", "Kings and Queens".
Aerosmith Also performs live on the Movie Wayne's World 2 when Jim Morrison says to Wayne and Garth in a dream if you build it they will come to the concert venue.
Omg I never realize that was them! But it makes sense
@@DianeJennings Yep, They sing a song off the same get a grip album that the song crazy is on. 🎵🎤🎉😊
Liv Tyler is lead singer Steven Tyler's real life daughter. She has done a number of films. My favorite is the film Stealing Beauty (1996).
another great band, loved their music
Rock on 🤘🏻
First heard Aerosmith in 1974 I think. My brother had their first album. Their sound changed with each successive album. Joe Perry left the band around 1980 and they went on without him for a while. The "Rocks" album, and songs 'No More No More' 'Train Kept A'Rollin' 'Toys In The Attic' might be others to look into.
They also headlined the first concert I ever attended in 1976 at old RFK Stadium in Washington DC. The other bands were Ted Nugent, Nazereth, and Lynyrd Skynrd.
Have a great week, Diane.
Damn Bill, you’ve been to some insane concerts!
Haha. Not nearly as many as I would have liked. That was a kicking concert though.
Matthew is totally right! You are the legend of concerts… Concertry?
@@DianeJennings Thanks, but I'm definitely not. I wish I was.
Angel is an amazing ballad they put out
Alicia Silverstone 😍
Steven's daughter Liv also appeared in the Lord of the Rings trilogy as the elf Arwen that was❤️ by Viggo Mortensen's character Arabien. Also she was in Armageddon with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck...🤓
My husband bought me tickets to see Aerosmith tomorrow in Dallas, but unfortunately it has been delayed due to Steven Tyler's throat injuries indefinitely. 😢
Saw them in concert. I like older stuff. Toys in the attic, An odd choice but worth it.
Still boggles my mind that someone as beautiful as Liv Tyler came from Steve Tyler.
First time I heard them was like 1972 and it was either Sweet Emotion or Back In The Saddle. Really liked their early 70s to mid 70s music. After that it started sounding much the same. Although, I do like Love In An Elevator.
Good reactions as usual.
Rock on! Thank you
Good that you got round to Aerosmith at last !
Of there older stuff Dream on or Walk this way are half good !
Another interesting listen or two
Queensryche Silent Lucidity
Temple of the dog Hunger Strike
Thanks for reacting to it Diane!
One of my favorite Aerosmith songs is "What it Takes." You should check that one out if you do another Aerosmith reaction.
You could try “Sweet Emotion” for their 1970s music.
I should go back earlier. Good idea
train kept-a-rolling i believe it was their first big hit in the 70s
Have a wonderful week Diane🎉😊
You too!!
I always loved their track Angel .
As a sophomore boy when this video came out (like 14-15 year old) those black leather pants Liv Tyler wears in this video are permanently burned into my mind and will be for the remainder of my life....
Yes Liv Tyler is Steven's daughter but she grew up thinking Tod Rundgren until she was 10 when she met Steven Tyler and the resemblance was undeniable
I hope you and Chewie have a good week.
I believe the other girl in the car is Liv Tyler who is the lead singers daughter. She was in Lord of the Rings, Armageddon, Jersey Girl and other movies too.
Everyone’s going crazy in the video 😂😂😂😂❤
I met Steven Tyler on the street. He’s very very nice.
I've never seen Clueless so we're even since you never heard Aerosmith's music.
Great job Diane, have a good week.
Dream on was their first big hit...I remember hearing it after getting familiar with Steven Tyler's scratchy voice and thinking "this can't by Steven Tyler...what am I listening to?"
Also Try listening to the Aerosmith Songs Woman of the World, Dream On, Come Together(Beatles cover song), Pandora's Box, Train Kept a Rollin', Spaced, Same Old Song and Dance, Dude looks like a Lady, Sweet Emotion, Amazing, Rag Doll, Angel, Love in a Elevator, Walk This Way.
Now to watch Walk This Way by RUN-DMC featuring Areosmith. The introduction of RAP Rock.
wow, just realised that the store clerk is in the series 'Frasier' (when he has to tutor him for some reason....
I got to see an Aerosmith concert back in 2001 in Nashville. It was the week after 9/11, Steven Tyler really went out of his way to put on a good show for everyone.
Ah that’s great to hear! There’s nothing worse than finding out a fantastic artist sucks live
I most certainly did *not* develop a crush on Liv and Alicia - that absolutely does not remain today - because of this video 😍😍 Cheers Diane! 💚
did Diane actually blush a bit when dude jumped back in the car in his birthday suit? 😜
Yes, they were formed in the 70's and were big in the 80's. However, they were on their way out of popularity in the mid-80's until their music career was revived with the release of "Dude Looks Like A Lady" in 1986 featuring Run DMC. I would venture to say that not only did they make Run DMC a successfull rap group, but they also peaked in the 90's and made many cameos in movies, music awards shows, and other live performances through the 2000's. They were in Wayne's World 2, features in the soundtrack for Armageddon, and Taylor even made a cameo in the TV series Two and a Half Men and performed a duet with Carrie Underwood in one awards show (clip available on TH-cam).
