  • In this video I take you with me as I replace the driver's side CV axle in our 2012 Honda Accord. I like these car because they are easy to fix and to be parts are affordable. The car traveled 155k miles before the OEM CV axle gave up. I replace it in this video with an AutoZone, duralast brand unit. Please subscribe and check on out my channel for other related content.

Thanks...lol. I dunno about that... Necessity sometimes can be a great driving force. Sure beats paying for a tow. Thanks you for watching and commenting. Good luck with your repair.

Awesome job. You have a great amount of cumulative knowledge it seems, to be able to know what to attack and how to approach it. Maybe a diy consultant line of/for the want to diy folks who need more help :)

Nice. Im at 155k miles too. Im gonn have my replaced because my gas pedal is vibrating. Someone did replace it before but idk when. But 242 ft lbs when i only weight 135 lb will be impossible to torque down

Hang off the end of a 2ft. bar and you'll easily generate the torque needed. I'm not much bigger than you. We just passed 165k the other day. I keep it going. It treats us well. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Did yours break while you where driving? At what speed? Didn't damage anything else?

The car was pretty well frozen to the ground... I woke up... Warmed it up ... Put it in drive ... It popped right there in my driveway. Luckily the noise was nasty enough I just turned it off and looked for the problem. No damage. I got lucky for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting.
