Scott I think I know who you might be talking about regarding the engine rebuild and there really is only one man for the job, I wonder if it's the same person I'm thinking, 🤔 😂.
Glad to see you back on it, mate! 👍 Restore the 328 or go for the 288 GTO Tributo, would both be great content! Please leave the Ratarossa as is! Maybe make the fitment and the state of the interior perfect! How about making an aluminium (or fiberglass with aluminium coating, for optic purposes, ofcourse) custom hardtop with matching roof liner to put on it, so you're not just bound by the occasional sunny weather in Britain?
It is WILD to own multiple Ferraris and be a home renter! I'm also a renter , and my entire business depends on my landlord continuing to let me rent his property. Its a very insecure feeling. Good luck mang!!
@@IrishJayc63 he could sell 1 of them and put a deposit down on a house instead of spending more a month on rent and it being dead money every single month.
This is my thoughts, sell a car or 2 and get on the property ladder with some decent life insurance… god forbid the worst happens and your kids don’t have a home.
Not my business, but if I was in your skin, I would be restoring the testarossa and selling it with one or two more of your ferraris and buying the right property for living in it with place enough for having your passion at home. You would be saving a lot of money every month with an absolute peace of mind. So after that you will be able to center on your awesome projects ahead. Good luck man.
A new Ratarossa video? EXCELLENT!!! So good to have you back again Scott. I was beginning to worry about you. I'm really sorry to hear about all the problems you've been having, but so pleased you've managed to prioritise your family first and foremost, but then also find a way to maintain your Ferrari passion and keep to producing these fantastic videos. We love you, man! This is my favourite channel on TH-cam by far, so I'm really looking forward to seeing your new content, as and when you release it 🙂
Thanks so much for the kind words. Sometimes we need a little reset and its so good to have great family, friends and in my case very loyal amazing followers. Back on it now and for sure the Ferrari passion is there more than ever right now !
Nice to know you are still going, as I spent 21 years in the motor trade, two pieces of advice, only have two cars on the go for repairs, and have space around them to work, makes life so much easier, good luck with your future plans.
I’m no TH-cam expert but I’d put a pretty hefty bet that once the f40 re build kicks off your channel is going to explode! I’ve been a sub for ages and this channel is one to watch, just like Matt Armstrongs was. Great in front of the camera, knowledge off the chart on Ferraris and you come across as a great guy. Great things are coming! And I wish you all the success in the world!
Hi Scott, thanks for the video. I was wondering when we would see an update. That being said, whatever you've got do deal with in your life. Most of us watching, will still be here enjoying the build content. I wish you all the best, cheers!!
Interesting to mention,as lover of restoring old cars remember this, focus on one car, make a good job of it don't get side tracked. If you have finished your project stand back and feel good after your restoration profect then tackleyour next (project). If you tackle too many restourations thing go wrong, parts go missing and of course valuable time with family and friends goes out the back door of the house. Of course every project needs good planning valuable time, effort and of course moneeey. Al the best for you with your planning.
Scot, Your original Mondial restoration and the BBi find were small things that got me through the lockdown months. the pieces will fit together again, stay strong
Your family is more important than anything in your life. If they're all good, then everything's fine. We can wait... Your car's can wait... Just keep your beautiful family life together. ♥👍Much aloha to all of you!🤙🍍
No worries mate! Glad you're back and content to come, life is never static so you deal with it as it comes and if it makes any difference your channel is probably the only one I have the most anticipation for new episodes because I enjoy your content. Looking forward to the new adventures.
Thanks so much. Life has its ups and downs for everyone and Its having such great people around us that help lift us back up ... Im so lucky to have amazing followers as well who appreciate this
Get yourself a Liftgiant stacker lift! Just done it in our garage and we have space for 5 cars where it was 3, and we can bang 3.7 tonnes on each if we need - even had a new X5 on it to test it out! pushes the cars right up into the eaves so I have 6ft of head height below to store and work! awesome kit!
Again, as i said in another comment " this guy is the best ! " In particular he always works on the bright side. People who sponsor or help him know he gives them the right outlook on life.
Nothing more important than family. If you are plagued with obstacles and your family has your back, then keep on doing what you’re doing but now do it better. Between your family, good friends, and fans, we know you got this.
Scott...totally understand...the worst news to get is a section 21...I had the same served on me 5 years ago.So glad you are back .... I missed the show 👍👍👍
I live in the US and have little true interest in Ferraris but love your content being the home mechanic restoring these cars. Wish the best future for you
Hope you and family are well! Sorry to hear you have to find a new abode, hope you are in a position to buy your own and then you don’t need to stress or worry about a landlord! Love that old 911!!!
You're doing a great job restoring those Ferraris. People that restore project cars run into all kinds of problems but the passion helps us get through them. Keep your chin up and drive on. Don't live with the regret of, what if. Just be mindful of what is more important... family and good health. With that said, you will be rewarded with the finished product of pure satisfaction.
HI - Big fan, you are very sim, to my brother and I, supercars young age - but for the right reasons. Anyhow super happy to see back on your feet. Just last week I flew in from SW France to see my bro. and we were saying where is Mr. Rat? Anyhow I been a millionaire then lost it all, never salty just a learning curve.... A great saying for you - "Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some come to clear your past". all the best x
Thank you for the update Scott, so sorry to hear the situation happening all at once. Glad you decided to keep going with the channel, love your work with it and all the other TH-camrs. I hope your channel grows from strength to strength. You totally deserve it with the hard work you put into it. Again so glad you’re staying around. Thanks Scott 👍
I just want to say that it's glad to see you again. I really like your content.I am not specifically glivarari enthusiast. I am honestly a ratarosa enthusiast. You're smart, And you Teach people that anything is Possible if you try hard enough.
Good stuff, a year and a half ago my world was completely upside down. Today my life is better than it’s ever been. Big changes can force you to make tough decisions that lead to better outcomes. Looking forward to new content!
i love how at 2:34 you can see a tub marked "f40 build". One of my favorite cars and I can't wait to watch you rebuild it. No other content like that exists on TH-cam
Good to see you back Scott. I'll never be in a position to do your kind of builds. As a "max power" kid back in the day I've always loved messing with motors just can't physically do it myself now. Love watching your videos along with the likes of Mat Armstrong & Tavarish. Keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Scott we all understand the dough you got tied up in these motors is immense the graft you have put in over the years is epic… We will be patient don’t worry & ask for help if you need it that’s how it works ,good luck . May the force be with you 👍🖖🫡🙏
Sometimes when you have a fairly full on hobby you just have to take a bit of time out to regain the passion. Don't worry about it, take your time and soon the passion will come back. Forza Ratarossa!
the lesson my dad taught me that I hated was; everything that happens in life can be learned from if we choose to learn. Glad to hear you advanced your education. I'm a big fan of the BBI.
Having a garage outside of the house is definitely the way to go! I'm assuming you have less time and noise related restraints there as well? Sometimes it takes an outside force to kinda reset things, take a step back and move you on and up in the world. Been watching your videos a long time and from what i can tell you and your skills have outgrown the small house garage a long time ago! Remember to enjoy the summer as much as you like, and take care of yourself and your family as much as possible!
Thank you brother, very true words and I always try and look on the bright side of things that they happen for a reason and at a certain point in the future I get to look back and realise it was the best thing
SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To see the best channel on TH-cam is back. Welcome back Scott and solidarity for everything you went through.
Great to see you back. Family and home life comes first always. We’ll pick back up again where we left off when it suits you. You have some nice cars there and it seems like you have a plan. Look forward to catching any progress you post when ever you post 👍🏻
Really hope you and family are ok and sorry to hear things have been challenging! Missed your videos. So pleased you’re back buddy. I really hope selling the BBi you can buy a lovely home for your family!!!
I like the refurb of the junk cars. Also encourage selling off the whole fleet. This will help finance a home, reduces storage costs, and keeps you focused.
i was wondering where you went lol. family first of course and life doesn't wait for anything. i love your vids and i hope everything is good now. glad you are back. cheers!
That must have been tough to get an unexpected notice to give up your home. I wish you the best. Love your videos, so I hope your TH-cam channel thrives. All the best from Canada.
Good to see you again! Sorry to hear it’s been tough, but hang in there! Your content is only going to get better and better with all these projects lined up! Love what you’re doing!
I came in on the start of the BBI, the time flew by and like others I got hooked on the format, excellent, Scott. We TH-camrs get a wee bit addicted so you disappearing was concerning. Surprisingly and in IMHO there is one thing MORE important than family and that is your own personal mental health and well being, trust me, I've been there too, It is tantamount to then resolving any family issues. Glad to have you back, ROLL TAPE, where's my popcorn?
You have us all here for you! If we lived on the same continent, I’d give you all of my garage space. It’s great to see you back, in seemingly good spirits. Cheers!!
Well we all have your back Scott! Take all the time you need and make videos whenever you want. I totally understand having to balance different aspects of your life and sometimes things have to be put on the back burner for some time. I have three projects right now, a 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V, a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and I also have that 1998 Ferrari 456 I’ve been working on here and there and unfortunately they all have been sitting a majority of the past year due to life getting in the way. We are all here for you Scott!
Great to see you back. I’ve no doubt everything will work out for you. You always come across as so energised and positive. You always put a smile on my face that’s for sure. 😎👍🏻
I wondered if it was some social media algorithm that was hiding you away but it's great you prioritised you and your family. Having said that, great to have you back.
Been watching for years and love the cars and content! Don’t want to kick a man when he’s down but why on earth would you not be buying your own home?! It’s the single biggest thing you can do for your families security. All of us petrolheads are addicted to cars but home and family have to come first. Cars are for when everything else is going nicely. Glad you’re navigating a way through your challenges but get a house bought before you mess about with anymore cars. Mislaid priorities. All the best going forward though and I look forward to what’s coming. 👍🏻
Scott - Family always comes first and glad to see you made the right decision. No apologies needed for taking care of your number one responsibility. Glad to see you are getting back to providing videos and I cannot wait to see the upcoming project. Best always to you and your family.
Glad to hear your back and hope background things keep mending. Also glad to see BBi is still, there, thats got to be the crown jewel in the collection.
Sorry to hear you had a difficult moment, hope you passed it through now! I’m excited to see the 2.0 version of the channel with the new units. Keep it up 💪🏻
As chumbawamba once said.. you get knocked down, but you get up again, they will never keep you down. Glad to have you back and looking forward to more videos, choose your battles and don't take on too much at once.
Honestly wish you and the family the best. I'm so glad you're back. Ratatossa is one of the most unique channels and it makes sad you don't have the followers you deserve. Missed your content and am so glad you back.
I completely get where you're coming from in this video. I feel the same way at the moment. Not being 100% sure which direction to take my life and things just keep building up and overwhelming me. It is great to have a good network of people around that you can chat to when times are tough and hopefully point you in the right direction! We love the content you produce and it looks like you have a heap of fun doing it 😁
Good luck!!! The grey 308 reminded me... about 25 years ago, I tried to buy a 1979 308 GTB, in grey! All of $27k!!! I didn't get it, lost my garage... sigh..
We all know sometimes life gives you lemons (been there, done that), but I'm sure you'll make great lemonade from it, nice to see you back Scott ! Lots of work to do, all F's are broken :( Fix the grey one and sell it, then fix another one to sell, etc ... If I were you. I would keep the F430, the Ratarossa and the future F40, not much more ;) The Ratarossa, I would leave it as is (unless you are sure you can make BIG money from it)
Scott, you are one of my favorite youtube personalities, seriously. I hope things are not too pear shaped currently and wish you the best from over the pond. Get the ones to be sold wrapped up while the market is still good. The future isnt looking so great to be honest. Get cracking laddie!
Good to see you back, mate. Life can be a harsh mistress, but there's always ways to try to mitigate the issues. I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason, and the problems you have had will make you come back stronger. Looking forward to the new content!
Glad you are ok and glad you're back to work. Family comes first and I was worried something happened. I'm glad you are ok and great update. Thanks for all your videos and keep up the great work!!!
Sorry that you’ve had a crappy time of it recently fella, and it’s good to see you back. One thing I’ve always taken from this channel is that no matter how exotic the car is, it’s “just nuts and bolts” - you’ve proven that you don’t necessarily have to be mechanically qualified up to your eyeballs to be able to diagnose, fix or modify things yourself. Looking forward to more vids, and hope things are on the up outside of TH-cam land!
Glad you're back Scott, we spoke briefly at petrolheadonism underground, always remember we all get knocked down every now and again, it's how we get back up from it that counts
Glad to see you back on the prancing horse saddle Scott! The BBI looks stunning and I aleays had a soft spot for the 456. My personal and unrequested advice: drop that 288 tribute thing. It will spoil a still nice car and transform it in something that will never be a real GTO. It's a lose-lose action to my eyes.
Like many others I wondered what had happened. What a set of woes all at once. Dark days happen. In the winter we have just experienced not a lot of fun either. Family focus was definitely the way forward. Sometimes a reset isn't a bad thing. Revaluating what is important in life. Getting your arms around all the elements before making the hard decisions on the way ahead. You've done it and been very busy making the reset happen! What a bright future. Great to have you back, really positive and clearly excited about what is coming next.
Scott, for a year things at Ratarossa have been going astray, but you have given us all so much. Sell something. even the BBi . get a house for you and the family with no payments, and then rock on. love your channel.
I've been checking for new vids every day. I was concerned. Sorry to hear that you've had loads of life problems, but so glad you decided to remain on here. Welcome back.
Good to see you back, I was just wondering what happened. But, you are right there are things in life that are way more important then TH-cam. So it was a wise decision to step aside for a while to focus on things that matter more in life such as family and health. Having said that, it's great to see you back here!
Don't apologise mate. EVERYTHING happens at once! Think of it like a life test. All your followers are behind you & appreciate your content. Stay focused & be positive 🏆

Uhh. A GTO projekt sounds like a great projekt, and cool content.
Fantastic content, glad you're back. Completely off topic, what model of Ray-Bans are you wearing. Absolutely killer.
Glad to see you back on it, mate! 👍
Restore the 328 or go for the 288 GTO Tributo, would both be great content!

The comeback is always greater than the setback! Great to see you back!!
Thanks for the encouragement
Hang in there. We love your work. Life gets in the way at times. Take care

I also have a 2014 Audi A6 TDI Prestige S-line and a 2018 Kia Niro as my daily’s so that helps with having those projects as well
Life sucks sometimes, but you’ll bounce back! Stay strong and move along 💪 good to see you back
Great to see you back.
I'm always in awe of Ratarossa and his many projects. In his garage or driveway!! Keep them coming.. good luck.
Scott - Family always comes first and glad to see you made the right decision. No apologies needed for taking care of your number one responsibility. Glad to see you are getting back to providing videos and I cannot wait to see the upcoming project. Best always to you and your family.
We all have crap going on sometimes ,nice to see your all sorted now and doing what your best at,looking forward to your new content .
Glad to hear your back and hope background things keep mending. Also glad to see BBi is still, there, thats got to be the crown jewel in the collection.
Improvise, adapt, overcome. Good to have you back Scott. Family comes first. Always.
I’m just glad you’re okay dude. Do what you can when you can. We will be here 👍
I completely get where you're coming from in this video.
I would keep the F430, the Ratarossa and the future F40, not much more ;) The Ratarossa, I would leave it as is (unless you are sure you can make BIG money from it)
Pleased to see you getting back on your feet Scott.
Looking forward to seeing developments over the coming months 👍👍👍
Scott, you are one of my favorite youtube personalities, seriously. I hope things are not too pear shaped currently and wish you the best from over the pond. Get the ones to be sold wrapped up while the market is still good. The future isnt looking so great to be honest. Get cracking laddie!
Dude sell a couple cars and buy a house with a massive garage.. maybe outside of town...your channel is awesome
Keep it up what doesn't break you makes you stronger we are all with you
Scott - I had wondered. Family is the most important thing and it’s brave to share. Looking forward to the BBI update and best of luck.
Stay up my brother. Keep on pushing ✌️
Always!
I sensed something was up. Glad to see you back and hope you can move forwards. Love your content and positivity.
Great to have you back! No shame in taking time out in this crazy world in which we live… looking forward to seeing the future of these beautiful cars
Good to see you back, mate. Life can be a harsh mistress, but there's always ways to try to mitigate the issues. I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason, and the problems you have had will make you come back stronger. Looking forward to the new content!
your channel inspired me a lot 2 years ago. this is where I starts maintaining, repairing, restoring my e36 coupe. good luck man. :)
Glad you are ok and glad you're back to work. Family comes first and I was worried something happened. I'm glad you are ok and great update. Thanks for all your videos and keep up the great work!!!
Set backs are part of life, great to see you back in action! Looking forward to more great content! 💪👍
Family comes first. Your dedicated followers will always be here. You help fulfil so many people's dream of owning a Ferrari on a budget.
I hope you are well!
Been missing you.
It's fantastic to see you again and love the updates on your builds.
Can't wait for your next uploads.
Thank you so much!
A LIFT!?!?!? A LIFT!!!?? WHAT A GAME CHANGER! No scrabbling around to get under the motors anymore!!! Well done mate! Onwards and upwards!
288 GTO would be awesome...and great to see you back online buddy and sorry for your struggles...chin up, keep moving forward
Your strong and have a great family and following. I am already looking forward to the next project.
This mega project thats coming is my most anticipated build on TH-cam bar NONE. Cannot wait. Cheers for taking the time to give us an update Scott. 👌
