I gave up golf in frustration. A year ago I started to golf again with again frustration. I watch one of your videos at night and got up the next day and went to the course to try out the weight and closed shoulders. It was amazing how consistent my shot were. Even my bad shots were greatly improved. Thank you for what should be the “How to” for at least amateur golfers. I have the joy of golf back in my life.

The more I travel down the path, the more I solidify my belief. That good golf is a change in mind. Change your mind, and your body will follow. My ball striking is evolving constantly. It's definitely improving. And that's no accident. It's a lot like happiness. It's not a destination. It's a deliberate choice every day. Good stuff Jim. Changed my life brother.

Excellent video, Jim! Thanks! The "ball attachment" seems to be the key. I'm always "trying" to stay still, but I feel my head moving, body swaying, etc. I even tried to "stay closed", but that didn't work that well. If I simply "stay still", I flush it, effortlessly! I'll be sending you another swing video, soon! Thanks for all your help, Coach!

I love the scene in the movie Point Break where Johnny Utah catches up with Bohie in Australia. Before they begin the fight, Bohie ask Johnny if he still surfs. Johnny answers, “Every day”. Golf is that for me. I’ve become obsessed. Until finding Jim, I’ve been lost in the Valley of Death. Jim’s approach has unlocked the puzzle. All the kings horses and all the kings men never could get me to impact properly. Now I know. And although not a master, yet, the truth has set me free. Stillness answers all questions. Free yourself of Hogan and take a leap of faith over to Jim. God bless you brother and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I’ve played my best golf with this swing, it makes me laugh when everyone thinks I’m aiming way to the right, most of us have spent most of our golf life battling all those swing thoughts before we swing, the key to staying still in this swing is getting all those thoughts out of your mind because you just don’t need them.

I remember last year, we were on this par 3 with a water hazard tight to the right side of the green with the pin tucked there. Everyone else was trying to fade the ball in there and I took it right over the hazard with a tight draw to 2 feet. One of my buddies is like " I was gonna stop you because I thought you were aimed at the hazard, lol".

Beautiful lesson! This is all very huge as for stillness golf lesson information to me- it’s a new level of understanding- be still in your setup and attach yourself to the ball. It’s a step towards “playing gaming and fun“. The beginning of the most exciting part- it’s not all mechanical anymore. It’s now stillness in play... the path to an impact. I can’t wait to work with this!

Warming up on range the other day and for fun, I set up closed and stayed weighted on left foot ala Jim for a few 7 irons. Hit almost all of them in tight draws and they all landed with 15-20 feet of each other. Maybe I lost a little distance (maybe not) but there is definitely a greater feel of control and consistency.

Makes sense. For me I have a built in forgetter, so I need to practice, practice, practice.
I have a theory that the reason I wish to move and try and follow my shot comes from s primal instinct - like watching the flight of a spear as it is released and moves towards the intended target. I do much want to follow that golf ball even to the point of sacrificing my stillness. Does that make sense? Anyway, good stuff! You’re spot on and you have a good way of putting into words that for me has been an enigma for so many years.

My guess is that Jim's target is towards the telephone pole,
He aims feet very open, towards the black rock.
His shoulders and club head go towards the white house.
His club face aims towards the white rock.
Ball misses just a little left of the telephone pole, but on the imaginary green. (peyote might help see the imaginary green)
I was expecting his target to follow the squareness of the artificial turf Tee platform.
