You are amazing! You have solved my problem with my Godox V350 with my Sony A7R5. I bought the smaller unit for field macro photography because of its compact size. However I was getting very inconsistent results with the flash randomly not firing. Changing the frequency to 5 as you suggested now allows me to used the focus bracketing mode along with the shortest interval. Thanks again.

Now I just have to get my hands dirty trying these steps. In the last few months from unusual circumstances I've ended up with: 2 Godox speedlights: V860III Sony; V1 Canon; and 2 Godox XProII triggers: Sony and Olympus. I'll unload the Olympus. My camera is an A7III. Mounting the Sony trigger should be good to control both Godox speedlights or just use the Sony V860III on the hot shoe. I can see this high speed continuous being great for capturing race snowmobiles as they launch off the line to keep my shots looking sharp.

Have you heard of issues where the camera either a a73 or a74 doesn’t recognize the flash and then stops firing? This happens to me constantly and I’m not sure what’s wrong, as it works for maybe 20 minutes then stops working. I was told I need to hold the flash into the hot shoe because it’s lose but it really doesn’t seem to be, then when I restart both the flash and camera the error comes off and it just stops firing. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I need to change?

The Godox V860iii is not compatible with the settings of in camera body flash control available with newer Sony camera like A7IV, A7RV. The settings called “external flash settings “ under flash settings in these cameras is greyed out when V860iii is attached on hot shoe or connected as off camera flash. Can a firmware update to V860iii be a solution to make it compatible with a very useful function within camera body to use the Godox flash to its fullest potential like the Sony Flashes? Kindly reply

This was a really helpful video. I just bought the same flash and tried to put it on my A7IV, but the hotshoe isn't sliding in smoothly? Does that sound okay? I would have to put some force and jam the flash onto my a7iv hotshoe. Not sure why it's rough to get the flash in.

    • @DoubtMeTech

It fits in there. Just make sure the lock isn't on. After a few times it starts to slide in more smoothly

Canon calls their Through The Lens metering just "TTL" not "E-TTL" but it's the same thing.

What about continuous flash, for a 2500 shutter speed for action shots. Is godox able to consistently do that? Or should i go with sony flashes? My problem here is that, when in my godox trigger muñti node its capped at 1/250sec i need faster shutter speed.
