DanP RC, when the word "COOL" was conceived, you and what you can do, HAD to be in there somewhere my friend because this car defines what "COOL" is all about...... You do some mighty fine work my friend! Thank you for posting this!
Really Love Your Builds Dan P Been Watching Your Vids For Years And You're The Reason I Got Back Into The Hobby But For Strictly Racing... I Currently Own 2 HPI E10 Drift Cars But I'm Slowly Upgrading Both Of Them Both Are FWD Also Since I Love Hondas And Have Ton Of Honda Bodies.. Hopefully When They Are Done I'll Be Able To Make Some Test Runs Then Go To Events Like You And Your Son And Get Into Them Brackets ...... Definitely Keep Up The Good Work Brotha Much Love From NYC
GREAT paint job, I'm lovin the fade!!! I wanna try a white, light blue, blue, dark blue, black fade. You need to be a master at painting to pull those fades off though, such as yours. Imma need LOTS of practice, I hope eventually I'll be able to pull it off. GREAT looking car you've got, I hope to do HALF as good as you've done 👍👍
Thank you very much! I recently faded a 1/8 Dodge Demon green, silver, gunmetal, to black. Just take your time and make sure your strokes are even...and make sure the nozzle flows smooth. I use rattle cans but an airbrush should be much easier.
Thanx, I appreciate it👍👍 I actually just Sub'd to your channel. When I get off of work today I'll check out more of your videos. The few that I've seen have awesome looking cars in them. I just ordered a Slash roller last night. I wanna give the drag car building a try
To me it's all about that paint, you showed your ass off on that fade. As for the internals I don't know too much on the RJ Speed cars, too me you look as to be a force to reckon with. Good Luck bro
Lol!! Thanks Don! I wanted to do a lil something to it since I plan on having it around others of it kind. I've seen some pretty extravagant paint jobs on cars like this but mainly airbrushed. Airbrush looks incredible but cans make you appreciate it more. That's my opinion anyway.
I have been looking into building one. May I ask where you got all the extras from. I can get the initial kit, but I don't know where to get the upgrades like you have. Just asking. Great build by the way!!
Thanks! The steering links were spare traxxas links. I didn’t like the thin stock parts and how it was designed. I believe I got the aluminum wheels DragRaceConcepts but it’s been a while. There were also aluminum rear wheel hubs for these cars instead of the stock plastic that will strip under good power and traction. TowerHobbies did carry some.
man thanks... ive had this car 2week after build and have not made a pass bc wheels slipn... so with this shaft should i go back factory plastic hubs or aluminum ones
I like your style D.P. , I like the fact that on top of beautiful work you put out your cars get street time, unlike Mr. GiostealthR1 always brand new tires, brand new bodies with no signs of road scratches smh I don't get down with that, but D.P. you are my nigga!!!! thats official keep doin the damn thing!
That's lookin badass ! Love it I just got done with the slash I was building and I'm lookin for your opinion on wheelie bars it keeps doing backflips I gentup to about 70 ish and it backflips and slides and I'm looking for options on custom wheelie bars
hey i have few questions 1. what kind of paint did you use and if you were to crash would it chip off? 2. How did you make the wing ? 3. Where did you buy the rims?
Paul Molnar Use polycarbonate paint for these bodies...they're made to flex so they won't chip. But a hard crash is another thing. And got the wheels from rc racing innovation
Frederick Todd Ok. You can go this 1/10 or a bigger 1/10 like the slash...which really should be called 1/8. The bigger platforms like the slash can run on and street but the smaller drag car like this one needs to be on a really clean and smooth strip.
Rc 4 Life Make your own flat spots but also look into the aluminum hubs. There’s also a metal axle available for that car. Towerhobbies had parts and you can check ebay.
Didn't scuff. Today I went to my local hardware store and got 1 1/4 inch and stretched them over.. they are tighter and are thicker.. haven't run it yet but I will let you know how things go. Thank you bro!
I scuffed...I tried 4 new sets of o rings for the rims up front...I have tried epoxy, CA glue and 2 others.... o rings still keep coming off bro.I cant get it over 20 MPH and there they go! This has caused me to wreck and mess up the body and other stuff. Where did you say I could get better rims/tires for the front? what about aluminum hubs for the rear as they are stripped too.
By the way..... Your one cool ass dude and you certainly have RC talent! Your whips are clean looking, custom, and absolutely beautiful! You have a great eye for these type of rides my friend. Thank you for sharing with us all. You gained my respect a long time ago!!! Take care and hope to hear from you soon!!!
Funny you ask! Lol! I was going to comment on wheels but I didn't know if you wanted that type of input or not and if I should say it under your video. Do you have Google Hangouts or Facebook Messager?
B&C Ultimate RC Thank you! And what I was going to suggest was for you to get more bandito tires but unglued so you can take them. This way you can also use different wheels if you like...for example some 2.2 rpm chrome revolvers for a little bling! Lol! Taping should be fine up to 3s. Some guys like the Proline Prime tires...but they wear pretty fast. One more option will be foam tires. I'm not crazy about foam because they chuck kinda easy and the road needs to be pretty clean for grip.
B&C Ultimate RC Also, I wouldn't do 1/16 shocks on that dragster. I'm a fan of e revo shocks with 60 to 80 weight fluid. You can get them off eBay cheap.
Site works fine. I just checked again. But they dont carry aluminum wheels anymore that I can see. And straightness with these type of cars is really about traction. A lot of guys use Koford or Power Paste on their rear tires.
Eric Tukes Nice size collection. And you can make pretty much any car a drag car. But I do think the bigger ones make for better builds. I favor the slash.
Eric Tukes What does fast and straight have to do with it being a pan car or not. SMH! Lol! It’s a pan car because of how its made. Fast and straight is about setups and traction.
Damn!! That is absolutely slick, a piece of ART, pretty oh so pretty! DanP you are not only a mechanic but also a pure ARTIST !! Keep bringing it!!!
DanP RC, when the word "COOL" was conceived, you and what you can do, HAD to be in there somewhere my friend because this car defines what "COOL" is all about...... You do some mighty fine work my friend! Thank you for posting this!
NICE RIDE..Love the body. I must say the tires and rims look sweet
Tasty fade ... Black accents work really well with the fade.Good choices...Nice!!!
That's all kinds of sweet brother !!!! Gave a happy 4th !! Thumbs up Mr. P
Thanks and it was pretty good. Hope yours was relax full.

Awesome looking car. Really thinking about building one myself with the '57 Chevy body.
Thanks you! I say go for it...it's a fun build.

Now that's a real nice rig you got there! Very nice my brother
Thanks my brother! I appreciate that!

Love it I just got done with the slash I was building and I'm lookin for your opinion on wheelie bars it keeps doing backflips I gentup to about 70 ish and it backflips and slides and I'm looking for options on custom wheelie bars
ķç marcum Thanks! And you can search ebay for a Slash Wheelie Bar and see those options. Or check out Rawsteele channel and see what he has.
hey i have few questions
1. what kind of paint did you use and if you were to crash would it chip off?
2. How did you make the wing ?
3. Where did you buy the rims?
Paul Molnar Use polycarbonate paint for these bodies...they're made to flex so they won't chip. But a hard crash is another thing. And got the wheels from rc racing innovation
man that looks sick, love the setup
Thanks! I appreciate that!
Man I love the build...good job.
Brian Howard Thank you!!
awesome pro mod. where did the rear wheels and tires come from? I've looked all over and can't find those anywhere.
These pry lose control too much on a no prep track?
Now that this has been out for a while how about letting us in on the build Mostly where did you get the wheels and what body is that?
Wheels were from Rc Racing Innovations but they don’t make aluminum wheels anymore. And body from RAE Racing.
I like that car man good work. Where did you get the rear wheels from?
G Jackson Thanks! And TM Racing drag wheels
where did you get the wheels front. they look good
nicholas vincent rc racing innovation
Hey just got one....question the servo mount where to get one
What ecu you use?? I want to start in this hobby but i dont know what ecu use in th3 rc,
SWEET ! What do you suggest for someone new to start with?
Frederick Todd Depends on what you want to do with it.
I'm interested in Drag racing
Frederick Todd Ok. You can go this 1/10 or a bigger 1/10 like the slash...which really should be called 1/8. The bigger platforms like the slash can run on and street but the smaller drag car like this one needs to be on a really clean and smooth strip.
Where did you get the steering linkage from? Got mine built and definitely don't like the factory linkage.
These are traxxas turnbuckles
Thanks
Great car!! I'm not sure what happened..i used to be subbed to you and I just realized I'm not now. I re subbed bro!!
Hey man amazing build you got there. I was wondering what servo saver and what steering linkages you use?
This is a hot racing servo saver and I used traxxas links.
DanP RC Thank you very much you’ve got an amazing build there!
Can you help me, the stock plastic hubs just spin on the shaft cuz theres no flat spot on the shaft for the set screw to actually grab it. I need help
Rc 4 Life Make your own flat spots but also look into the aluminum hubs. There’s also a metal axle available for that car. Towerhobbies had parts and you can check ebay.
very cool dragster bro!
Thanks bro!
You have the best looking one I've seen
Amazing work there D very clean!

tommyd3jr Thanks! Lol

Thanks etab!
hey man need help... what can i do for wheel hubs factory one no good and aluminum one keep spinning over on axle
Derik Yellock Make some flat spots on the shaft where the set screw sits.
so i need to go back to the plastic ones
Derik Yellock Wait, which type hub do you have...clamping or set screw?
part number 5321 and 5314
they are clamping
That thing is slick bro
hey man i have a big question what type of steering servo did you use mine won't work
curtis ames I'm using a low profile savox
my o ring front tires keep coming off. I tried c a glue.. what do I do bro?
B&C Ultimate RC I never tried glue but I just mounted some funny car fronts on mine. But did you scuff and clean the wheels before you glued them?
Didn't scuff. Today I went to my local hardware store and got 1 1/4 inch and stretched them over.. they are tighter and are thicker.. haven't run it yet but I will let you know how things go. Thank you bro!
B&C Ultimate RC Ok cool! Yeah I've been messing with my 1/8 cars. But keep me posted. 👊🏽
I scuffed...I tried 4 new sets of o rings for the rims up front...I have tried epoxy, CA glue and 2 others.... o rings still keep coming off bro.I cant get it over 20 MPH and there they go! hey bro...I need yourhelp. you saw the dragster build..i need rear wheels and tires...I cant find anything. can you help?
Funny you ask! Lol! I was going to comment on wheels but I didn't know if you wanted that type of input or not and if I should say it under your video. Do you have Google Hangouts or Facebook Messager?
DanP RC no I don't. I don't mind you putting your opinion on my vids...i got allot of respect for you bro.
B&C Ultimate RC Thank you! And what I was going to suggest was for you to get more bandito tires but unglued so you can take them. DanP RC thanks bro. I might try to take these tires off the rims and tape them. Can't spend any money right now so I'm in a jam.
Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
I'm liking them wheels were u get them at
Rc racing innovations

Lol! Direct me to a Pontiac body and I'll do it. But I gotta say I was tempted to do it with the Turbo Camaro body.
Hey boss where can I get those rims and tires from?
Andrew WYLIE Was this place but i think they stopped making aluminum wheels. www.rcracinginnovations.com/store/c11/Drag_Rims_.html
Site works fine. I just checked again. But they dont carry aluminum wheels anymore that I can see. And straightness with these type of cars is really about traction. A lot of guys use Koford or Power Paste on their rear tires.
DanP RC where can I get that stuff from
Wow, man I like that
Lol thanks!
contender. get out there and get'em D.
OK I have 10 RCs but I like the drag seen and would like to get into it
Eric Tukes Nice size collection. And you can make pretty much any car a drag car. But I do think the bigger ones make for better builds. I favor the slash.
