I like what u guys are doing. Imma give you a little more info. We're running the momba 8 with 3.5 2.5 1.5 1.0 turn motors with that ESC you can go into the high 60mph to 70's a few hit 80. 2.55 a great time.
I missed this vid some how 😭 lol I used 4 scales to get the weight transfer to each tire by adjusting the shocks etc you can transfer the weight to where you want Helps get the car to hook up I used to use digital bathroom scales to weigh gocarts lol It works I'm sure you probably know this It was just a thought Love the vids mate keep them coming 🔥👍✌️
Thats for the info, yeah have been looking at the weighing systems but not sure we do enough to warranty buying them, seems to be going nice and straight currently, maybe if things start to get ultra competitive we might get the extra mile 😂😂😂
I’m still new to it all but something that has helped me really see some gains in ET is tire prep. I use tire prep called Reaction Time, but I’m working on a recipe of my own this weekend. I’ll have to keep you posted!
We are totally new to it all as well, thanks for the info on tire prep, its not east to get hold of in the UK so would be very interested in your own recipe 👍
Should give CNHL batteries a go, their packs are used a lot in the speedrun community as they're actually close to the discharge rates they advertise compared to other brands 😉
@@RazorRoo1989 Indeed better lipos deffo make a difference, just getting hold of some of the better ones in the UK is the difficulty, hoping CNHL get their UK stock in soon
That's looking pretty good for the first rips . If you want to experiment try the regular reactions stretched on the showtime wheels and tape off the air holes for a slightly pressurized tire ..once heat is added . Air filled is faster
Thanks for the info, gonna get another set as have a feeling we will wear these out quite quick, haven't played with he throttle curve yet for this car, its next on the list of things to do, need to do it away from Aaron as he also has a Noble 😂😂
Thanks for watching us 👍. a lot will depend on the footage taken, time to edit the video and also making the video as interesting as possible, we try not to add stuff into a video just for the sake of making it longer, but will see about making longer ones that are interesting as well 👍👍👍
Think it will be like speed running, just shaving a fraction of the time off, but also actual head to head races where reaction times come in, have a proper list, call outs, cash days etc, thee is a whole host of things that can be done to keep the interest up 👍👍 at the moment we are all just learning and tryong to get our cars as fast as possible, then the real fun starts with the racing 👍👍
Make sure to wash your tires with simple green to get the mold release of the rubber tires then if you can find CRC belt conditioning Spray coat the tires and let them tack up do a burn out and you’re hooking!!!
All to do with the pre-load on the shocks, if it pull to one side add more pre-load to that side and then its just trail and error until you get it to go straight
Please can I ask did you have a hard time fitting the c7 corvette drag car bodyshell because in the description it says it only fits the losi & the 2wd slash ?.thank you Andy Timson
Not really a hard time, you just have to make sure to line the body up so the holes come through in places you can fit the clips, deffo mark out the holes before you paint the body, its more the front holes, you can get a kit that moves the body posts forward but no need really
Love what you've done with that love the colour and choice of body even the decals of your channel looks sick if was mine I'd offset the rear wheels 5mm either side but it looks awesome 👌 where did matt find the supra body ive gotta have that there my dream car I might not be able to get full scale one yet but can definitely get a 1/10 well when the MRS let's me get another 1 haha
Thanks, came out a lot better than i thought it would 👍 Not sure if allow to offset the wheels, also they likely then rub on the body when they spin up. This is the Supra body Matt has: www.modelsport.co.uk/product/pro-line-1995-toyota-supra-clear-drag-body-for-22s-dr10-1337202
I’m gonna sound like a complete noob. Still new to the RC hobby in general. Did this car start as a normal drag slash? This looks so much fun! Just have no idea where to start!
That's ok, we all started new at some point. It started out as a Team Associated DR10, probably the cheapest and easiest way into no prep, the issue with the drag slash is that its a lot more expensive and you would still need to change the esc and motor to go fast to compete
Belted tires? Why not doing it like the full scale drag racers, where the tire balloons and makes the car go faster? (I'm a total noob, this is a question) 👍
The tyres can rub on the body destroying the paint job as most serious RC Drag Racers like to have their body shells as low as possible on the car and to the ground.
Non-belted tires would balloon far to much and have a very very small contact area making it almost impossible to control, bear in mind this is 1/10th scale so at 60mph full scale would be 600 mph that wheels are spinning a lot faster than full size drag cars. Ballooning tires also the hit the body and burn holes through it. This was about 1/3 throttle on non-belted tires: th-cam.com/video/Xk29MGXoXNQ/w-d-xo.html
Also not harm in asking questions, everyone was a noob once, i was a noob to this side of RC until a few weeks ago, please never be afraid to ask questions on this channel 👍
