@@EvanDudeGuyClements Close. By holding reverse when the transmitter is turned on, and the trigger is released it'll take off forward. A fun little trick if you're handing it off to somebody to try it out. 😂

I have the Porsche, it's beautiful and it's fun! Not super easy to control, but maybe I could use some more practice too. I made it RWD by removing a gear and it just got worse (like expected 😅). Yea i messed around with RWD at this scale before with the Takara Tomy Initial D ones. You would need a gyro and improve the front wheels so they roll smoothly without getting locked up from friction. It really becomes a whole project. With 3D printers more accessible now, perhaps you can make custom parts and make your own steering rack.

Very interesting cars .I run slotcars and I think with rubber tyres they might run really well on my carrera 4 lane track . Thanks for sharing these super little cars .....Harry
68 Mustangs were 4.66m long, short compared to the other manufacturers cars, the 68 GTO was 5.15m, the 68 Camaro was 4.94m. The Mustang was the tiny one of the group in 68. The R34 is 4.60m. The Hoonicorn was 4.78m. The GR Yaris is 3.995m. Having said that, that RC is smaller than it should be.
My mustang one of these did exactly the same thing, hit a joint in the wooden floor and suddenly stopped , the rear axle moved sideways and locked the crown wheel into the pinion . Moved the wheels out a bit and it freed up again .
I think you might have overlooked front suspension? That lock up also happened to my R34 after catching air and i thought it was trashed, i fully dissaembled and re-assembled the diffs, and then slid it back and forth a WHOLE bunch by hand faster and faster as it smoothed out more and more, to smooth it back out and its 100% FINE now. Start by trying to gently just worked the car back and forth on a good traction surface with the rubber tires, until it breaks free, then work into more from there. Or You might just have a tiny bit of debris in one of the diffs or need to smooth out the plastic teeth to mesh well together again. But don't throw em away on lock-up -- you can work them free and drive again fine i am noticing. Also both R34 and Pocshe I got came with tiny spring-loaded front friction suspension - IFS. I have the R34 and the Porsche... paid $22 !! These cars really are very good. I drive dNano's and have upgraded an R35 and R34 dNano to big block coreless motors and these aren't quite as fast top speed but they are darn near as close and handle almost better because they are AWD and the dNano are RWD. But still, dNano's cost $300 or more if you can still find them. For $25....... WOW!! I was blown away! FWIW i found both cars to be much better on the rubber tires -- or alot more fun anyways. They still slide a bit they are that powerful and fast on a smooth garge floor with big open space you can get crazy top speed for how tiny they are, almost uncontrollable unless you've got a 30ft stretch on the full 100% top speed on rubber tires.
Phil great video and for reference from a Yank, the 64.5-66 Mustangs like the Honnicorn was based on were about the size of a Sierra Cosworth. Mustangs were very small until 1969 and became small again in 1974.
@@SergeyPRKL Yeah you would really be splitting hairs over which one is biggest, widest, etc... But I was surprised by just how big the last 911 I saw at the track was.

The cars look great and appear to be a lot of fun. When you took a shot of the front of the Porsche it looks like it's smiling. This a very detailed and well done video.
Yo Tom, it would be cool if you could give the porsche another go, but try putting the rubber wheels on the rear and the plastic ones in the front, perhaps the rubber on the rear would prevent the tail spin, at the same time the plastic on the front might make the steering weird. Worth a shot tho, then for the fun of it since its all locked, try putting rubber on the left rear, plastic on the right front, rubber on the left front and plastic on the left rear. Perhaps doing it that way since its all locked would make the handling fun.
Last night I passed an old Mustang on the highway. It was surprisingly small. "Felt" smaller than my E46 (although I wasn't sitting in it at the time).
Love the tiny RCs, so easy to set up tracks for them. When I get one I'm going to try it stock then probably swap for a radiolink transmitter for the gyro and better settings.
