    I ordered the Porsche for my son, without him knowing. Delivery was a flippin' pain by Evri ( absolutely useless!!!), but it arrived, and i got him to open it, and he was si excited.
    Put the batteries in the remote, and soent the next 30 minutes drifting around the table legs of our dining table. He then told me i HAD to order one for me, as he wanted to race!! Hoonicorn on its way. 😆👍🏻

    These little guys might just be the best bargain in all of RC right now. I managed to get a Hoonicorn before the price went up, and with the additional decals, I'm all in for under $40 USD. Tough to beat with how good these things look, the amount of features, and the fun factor!

    I have the Porsche, it's beautiful and it's fun! Not super easy to control, but maybe I could use some more practice too. I made it RWD by removing a gear and it just got worse (like expected 😅). Blacked out the inside of the body for less light bleed. You do have to clean them regularly, lint accumulates fast and on such a small scale, it will affect handling and jam and damage stuff quickly.

    • @athenovae
      @athenovae 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yea i messed around with RWD at this scale before with the Takara Tomy Initial D ones. You would need a gyro and improve the front wheels so they roll smoothly without getting locked up from friction. It really becomes a whole project. With 3D printers more accessible now, perhaps you can make custom parts and make your own steering rack.

    Yo Tom, it would be cool if you could give the porsche another go, but try putting the rubber wheels on the rear and the plastic ones in the front, perhaps the rubber on the rear would prevent the tail spin, at the same time the plastic on the front might make the steering weird. Worth a shot tho, then for the fun of it since its all locked, try putting rubber on the left rear, plastic on the right front, rubber on the left front and plastic on the left rear. Perhaps doing it that way since its all locked would make the handling fun.

    I think you might have overlooked front suspension? That lock up also happened to my R34 after catching air and i thought it was trashed, i fully dissaembled and re-assembled the diffs, and then slid it back and forth a WHOLE bunch by hand faster and faster as it smoothed out more and more, to smooth it back out and its 100% FINE now. Start by trying to gently just worked the car back and forth on a good traction surface with the rubber tires, until it breaks free, then work into more from there. Or You might just have a tiny bit of debris in one of the diffs or need to smooth out the plastic teeth to mesh well together again. But don't throw em away on lock-up -- you can work them free and drive again fine i am noticing. Also both R34 and Pocshe I got came with tiny spring-loaded front friction suspension - IFS. I have the R34 and the Porsche... paid $22 !! These cars really are very good. I drive dNano's and have upgraded an R35 and R34 dNano to big block coreless motors and these aren't quite as fast top speed but they are darn near as close and handle almost better because they are AWD and the dNano are RWD. But still, dNano's cost $300 or more if you can still find them. For $25....... WOW!! I was blown away! FWIW i found both cars to be much better on the rubber tires -- or alot more fun anyways. They still slide a bit they are that powerful and fast on a smooth garge floor with big open space you can get crazy top speed for how tiny they are, almost uncontrollable unless you've got a 30ft stretch on the full 100% top speed on rubber tires.

    Only thing that I can’t get around with a lot of these is that I use the reverse steering feature. I accidentally learned to use my first rc car with the steering reversed and now I can’t get out of it 😂

    Yep, 1st generation Mustangs were actually pretty small. A quick search shows the old Mustang is about 100mm longer and 75mm narrower than a modern 911. Great videos, keep up the great work!✌️

    Mr. Tomley, please consider a workshop rescue kitty to test which model lands wheels down best...nevermind, any model will be a good starting point towards catjoy=spousejoy, you know, so I can do my own cat vs. model analysis

    I wonder if fitting the Porsche with the plastic front tires and rubber rear tires would lessen the turn in up front and the slide at the rear. Could work, could suck.
