I passed my test first time last week! No driving lessons taken, only your videos and about 25 hours practicing with my husband. Thank you very much for your help.
Hello, wow , nice. Here in Germany, I am not sure if someone could do that. We don't have any "learning License" here. So, one can not officially/actually learn on the roads/parking places (Or literally anywhere else) . If someone is caught learning without a license , the one who is helping us to learn also looses his license for 02-03 months. So, we don't have any choice but to learn from the driving school and pay so much . But if one passes his driving test, he will be given DL instantly , initially for two years, tho. Cheers!!!
I passed my test almost 2 years ago and still watch these videos as we are always learning. But for me the marking on the test should be changed if you get a serious fault you fail and if you get a dangerous fault you fail for me it should be 2 serious leads to a dangerous fault for a fail as some serious faults isn't as bad as others and you could get the benefit of the doubt.
I have my test in 11 days! I failed my first two, both due to one silly mistake that caused a major. However, I didn't know about your channel then, and now after watching your videos, I feel much more confident about myself! Thanks Travis!
Driving in the real world on your own is far far more easy than it is made to be on lessons and the driving test in my opinion. I've had to unlearn some stuff I was taught on my lessons like applying the handbreak every time you come to a stop, steering technique etc. Driving lessons were a fun life experience though!
yeah completely, in lesson scenario i struggle and panic, with my grandparents car I can casually drive and actually enjoy myself. Feeding the wheel round is irritating, i tend to let it either straighten itself up or go half and half, straightens up quickly and i find myself being able to go around tighter bends slightly easier. Might also be the diesel engine but i find clutch control so much easier too.
I was never even taught to use my hand break on the road. Ever. And they never mentioned it on the test. Hand break was only used to communicate to the examiner that I was finished with something he asked me to do like pull over or a reverse
this video is perfect travis. watched it twice tonight & ive taken lots of notes! especially regarding stopping in the correct gear & MSM routine. thanks travis as always👏🏼👏🏼
thank u sooo much for this video I always took too much pressure when I take lesson with my instructor he said so many time if u nt take pressure than u will pass I had 100 of lessons know but I'm still taking lesson I failed once last year than scared to book again ur videos give me more confidence
just pass my test today, so happy. my advice is get help of your relative and do as much as driving classes before giving test and the bestbtime to give your test is morning time before my test i had watched loads of different videos about manouver, position on round about and even how to impress your examiner, thanks to mu husband who build up confidence in me
I have my very first lesson tomorrow, I have been binge watching your videos for weeks, they have definitely made me feel a little more prepared and ready to get into it. I'm doing an Intensive course so I have my test already booked for next week!!!!!!!!!
Kimberley NeedsCoffee hi, hope it goes to plan. Intensive courses can be tiring, try and get lots of rest in between lessons. Good luck and thank you for watching .
Hey I just passed my driving thank you so much for all them videos, now that I passed I'm worried about the 6 point rule and wanted to know if you can do a video regarding speed what speed roads are that's something I'm still very weak in knowing what speed roads are if I miss the speed sign many thanks
THANK YOU FOR THESE VIDEOS - I PASSED FIRST TIME TODAY WITH 7 MINORS 🤩🤩🤩 BESTEST LUCK TO EVERYONE TAKING THEIR TEST, BINGEING THESE VIDEOS DEFINITELY HELPED!!

I just passed my driving test 2day first time. These videos r very helpful & help me to pass my driving test first time. Thanks for your excellent effort
One more question. Do you have to use the hand brake when you come to a stop at like traffic lights and stuff. My instructor says I can just hold the brake. Is this okay??
That is correct, you don’t need to secure the car with the hand brake when stopping at traffic lights. But I would use it when I think I need to. Such as stopping at traffic lights and the car behind is close to you.
I hate when I'm driving or if I'm stopped at a light or at a stop sign sometimes the cars behind me start honking at me and I'm just trying to drive safe and follow the rules
Hello, thanks for the video(s). I am also learning driving but according to my opinion, we have immense pressure here in Germany not to drive slow. I mean, if 50 Km/h is the speed limit, we actually need to maintain 50 Km/h then . As a learner, one can't expect, okay I'd rather drive 35-40 Km/h to be sure. Greetings, Saurabh.
i think the hardest part in the driving test for me is DEFINITELY gonna be staying under the speed limit. i have a hard time maintaining my speed and speeding up too much
My instructor always tell me that am very good at checking my mirrors. I had my test yesterday and I failed cos I didn't come to a complete stop at a stop sign and it was a serious fault. please can you do a video on that. cos your videos has really help me. thanks
+Francisca Osei on the video of Josh's mock driving test, he failed for the same reason for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. I always ask pupils to secure car with handbrake then there is no confusion. Good luck on your next one.
Learn-to-drive Travis thank you to all your lessons shared here... and your message sending good luck... I'll let you know when my instructor gives me the head up for the test. later we meet again in the morning for a lesson... he thinks I would be ready in July or August... or earlier if I surprise him with my performance...
Jac Hodgson think I'm on my 60-70th hahaha. first one worked very slowly with me, then got a new car and very rarely told me what i needed to do different to stop making tbe mistake and never taught me procedures. cancelled lots and went on a lot of holidays. so after about a year and a half I went with a different instructor. after 4 lessons, he went on holiday to Poland...and called into work quitting 😂😂 I have the worst luck. new instructor now though, maybe after 2 years of lessons on and off I will finally pass hahahah
Rachel Ray Hi, Just got back from testing centre and failed unfortunately... huhuhu 14 minors, 3 serious. 5 on hesitation, serious on leaving the signal on after merging on the A roads then realising when it was too late... it was so noisy couldn't hear signal or heart beating louder... then one observation on the second to the last junction back to centre...so blind couldn't see so tried to inch forward then he stopped me and showed me that a car was approaching from the left... next exam availability is not till October... no more money for lessons... huhuhu
I failed (1 serious 5 manor ) because I forgot to signal on one small roundabout but I wasn't diseppointed because I made one serious mistake but because The examinator said to my instructor I didn't signal on ALL roundabouts 5
+Jodie Taylor if you start from inside a parking bay, then no need. If you start from side of road, then only if it informs people around you, if no one around then no need.
It’s ok to feel nerves before and during the driving test. Try and not let it put you off. Remember that you can driving and that’s why you are taking the test. Good luck
I have my test to this week good luck for yours I'm feeling nervous but I'm hoping when I'm out on the road the hour before my test he nerves will go away
This is a great video and I love your videos, they have such great information and you have such a calm, gentle manner about you. One of my pet hates is this bad use of grammar; the often confused use of "them". Avoid THOSE grammatical mistakes now. Lol
Approaching traffic lights really confuses me. My instructor says when the light is green you should prepare for it to change. This means me driving very slow when approaching the lights and this could annoy other drivers and make it seem my fault otherwise the stop may be too harsh. Do you have a video on dealing with this?
Hi, your instructor is correct. I would not worry about the drivers behind you. I would approach at a safe speed so you can slow down and stop if the lights change.
+Joel Lyon hi, a tip that I always tell my pupils is don't underestimate the theory test. The pass rate is as low as 33% because lots of people think it is easy. Practice with different platforms, apps and try the free dvsa mock test. Good luck
I'd like to add some advice about the theory test too. When revising, make sure you also revise the questions that relate to automatic cars, even if you are learning in a car with manual transmission. I thought I wouldn't need to know about automatics, so was left to guess the answers during the test, which brought my score down.
Hi Travis.i have just passed my theory test how long should i wait before i book my practica.. (i know how to drive .. i have driven in other countries)
any advice can u give for automatic driver.. although automatic car very easy to drive many things on the road to focus makes it hard. I hve my test in couple of months can u advice me please also I haven't started doing manuover yet any advice on that please...
+Syeda Naseem hi, watch my playlist on manoeuvres on my TH-cam channel. You will find the three point turn and left reverse videos very helpful. Good luck.
Trying to fit in a signal off a small mini roundabout is difficult and I wouldn’t expect my pupils to do it. You could pick up a signal fault if it causes confusion.
@@JamesTravis thank you. I'm not going to sweat it. It was tight enough turning round the thing! Test this week so watching all your vids. Well there's snow predicted so hopefully goes ahead as i'm built up for it now. Going for lesson this afternoon. Then one more right before test. Eek!
what's your point of view of intensive driving courses? am thinking off doing one after I get 20 hr of lessons is a good idea? I tend to forget easily what I learned on my last lesson.
Intensive driving courses are a lot to take in. Sitting in the car for 4 hours or longer in a day can be difficult. But if you are on a tight time line then it could be ok. Another downside is the road conditions change from week to week and you could miss that experience when taking a intense course.
The parallel park will be done on a side road with the car in front. Hope this video helps. th-cam.com/video/ENuEFS_Fims/w-d-xo.html When the examiner asks you to reverse into the parking space, it will not be marked out.
I have failed yesterday did one .major mistake 2 minor only my bad luck i did not notice on a mini roundabout is ahead i was in hurry to pass :'( Its not examiners its us do mistakes my examiner Nuneaton center was very nice soft spoken i wish i could go back and correct my mistakr :'(
+Alex S hope it goes ok. Just focus on you and not worry about other things. If it helps check out my playlist on my TH-cam channel on your driving test. Good luck
Just a tip. If you know the area where you live. Ask your instructor can you drive from your house to your local shop with no help. Also ask if you can find your way home using road signs in the last 15 minutes of your lesson. You could surprise yourself. Worth a try. Good luck
I have my test in an hour and a half. Petrified. It's my third try! Last time I only got two minors and I don't actually really understand why I was failed, but I'm determined this time
My friends friend did her driving test with 0 minors but she got one serious because she stalled at traffic lights, and the examiner said "If there was a lorry behind you, that would have been a serious." but still gave her a serious anyway for stalling. Is that right to give a serious there?
+MsxTrinity6 that's a good question. A lot would depend on what is happening around the car at that time and if your friend got the car started and moved on safely and with out holding up traffic. But It could be for holding up traffic
I indicate whether there's anybody about or not just seems unnatural not to indicate, having a go at my test again after failing 20 years ago and it seems like things you'd have failed for then you're allowed to do now,and things you were allowed to do back then get you a fail now
Hi James, your videos help me a lot so thank you for making them, I have my test in a couple of weeks and I was wondering can the examiner give you faults if you indicate where it's not relevant but you are allowed to?
Chloe Chadwick if you were moving off or stopping and no one is around then no signal is required. If you do signal it will be ok. Hope that answers your question
sometimes my driving instructor confuses me. he tells me to keep up the road speed and as soon as i slow down towards the traffic lights he complains why am i slowing down. if i drive past the amber light its a serious fault
+RH Starman tell your instructor that you are getting confused with what is being said. Ask to clarify. It could be your instructor has assessed the approach and situation and is expecting you to carry on ahead, but you have started to slow for the traffic lights. Ask where your instructor, why they are asking you to carry on.
Subscribing helps me make more videos, thank you

I don't know if it is uncommon but by far the most common reason for failures among people I know is speeding in a 20 that they thought was a 30.

The parallel park will be done on a side road with the car in front. Hope this video helps. th-cam.com/video/ENuEFS_Fims/w-d-xo.html When the examiner asks you to reverse into the parking space, it will not be marked out.
I have failed yesterday did one .major mistake 2 minor only my bad luck i did not notice on a mini roundabout is ahead i was in hurry to pass :'(
Its not examiners its us do mistakes my examiner Nuneaton center was very nice soft spoken i wish i could go back and correct my mistakr :'(
Sorry to hear. Hope you pass next time
I wish u had camera for road and for rear mirror
oh dear my test is at the end of next month I hope I don't get overcome by nerves 😅
+Alex S hope it goes ok. Just focus on you and not worry about other things. If it helps check out my playlist on my TH-cam channel on your driving test. Good luck
my worry is I still can't drive without guidance and my test is 6 weeks away I hope it clicks by then thank you for your advice 😊
Just a tip. If you know the area where you live. Ask your instructor can you drive from your house to your local shop with no help.
Also ask if you can find your way home using road signs in the last 15 minutes of your lesson. You could surprise yourself. Worth a try. Good luck
thank you I really appreciate the advice 😊
me to dear
I failed my test yesterday :( the handbrake alarm went off 5 times which turned into a serious fault absolutely devastated :(
+Callum Jones sorry to hear. It is a minor driver fault, but because it Kept happening, it became a serious. Good luck on your next
I have my test in an hour and a half. Petrified. It's my third try! Last time I only got two minors and I don't actually really understand why I was failed, but I'm determined this time
+Alana Moore hope it went ok
Learn-to-drive Travis I passed! 2 minors again!!
Sooo helpful x
Thank you
good job
I do understand that but sometimes u think come on .maybe cause I got ripped off instructor holding me back passed 1st time
+Antony Robson sorry to hear what happened with your instructor.
Driving lesson in four hours. :3
He died
Talvin Rai 😂
Nice
sometimes my driving instructor confuses me. he tells me to keep up the road speed and as soon as i slow down towards the traffic lights he complains why am i slowing down. if i drive past the amber light its a serious fault
Learn-to-drive Travis ok. Will do :)
Good guy
