thanks a lot for your dedicated tips, been watching a few days before my test and honestly helped so much, had my First ever test today and Passed ! Thanks again
I passed on my 4th attempt, all 3 failed due to misinterpreting other drivers' intentions when entering a roundabout. I passed because I decided to change to 2nd gear when approaching a roundabout, which was something I didn't do before. This is my tip: If you select 2nd gear on approach, the car will be in the right gear if there is no traffic or you require power. But if there is someone approaching, you are going slow enough to safely stop and select 1st gear. This is something my driving instructor never shared with me so I want to help you save hundreds of pounds in failed exams.

I had my test today , 2nd September 2019. Passed first time with 2 minors in the Croydon area. I had about 46 hours in total with two instructors. One was absolutely awful, the other meh slightly better but not great. These videos have been truly helpful.

I would like to thank you Chris for these great videos. I passed today with only two minors and your videos about roundabouts and reverse parking were absolutely helpful.
I am in Nassau, Bahamas. This demonstration has been extremely helpful to me and my daughters. Keep up the great work. I needed a refresher in roundabout usage. Once again thank you all. Totally explicit, no questions instructor. Clear as crystal!
I passed my test after I watched your videos a few times they are absolutely amazing. Big thanks to you my instructor didn't give much details however your videos prepared me well for my exam I'm so happy today my Z4 is waiting for me now :)))
Hello, Chris! I normally never leave comments on TH-cam but I couldn`t skip this one. I am from foreign country and it wasn`t easy for me in the beginning even keep left side of the road ))))) I don`t have my own car (yet) so lately I was able to practice once in 2 weeks with my instructor. 2 unsuccessful tests really let me down. Today I passed! And the only thing what changed compare to my other tests was watching your channel. I committed to watch your videos at least 15 mins every single day and it worked! Now I am much more confident and calm driver and really know what I`m doing. Can`t thank you enough! 🤗

What brilliant videos - I’m finally learning to drive at the age of 48 and losing a lot of confidence not being able to have lessons during lockdown. Love the way you explain everything Chris. Thank you.
by far the best video I've ever seen on youtube with regards to learning to drive. I would always panic over busy roundabouts but one watch of this video gave me instant clarity! passed my test and had two busy roundabouts. knew exactly when to go
I wanted to say Thank You. Your videos have been so helpful for me. This video in particular...and I was even using the 'Pulling up on the left reference'...which I had never tried before but came so useful on my test, as my examiner was rushing me. She wouldn't wait for me to stop the car before saying 'move off when you are ready' which made me even more nervous. But luckily I passed with 3 miner faults. Thank you again for your amazing videos.
Hi! Thanks for your nice comment and congratulations on passing your driving test. Appreciate you finding our channel and enjoy driving. Keep safe on the road :)
My driving instructor has no clue how to explain this important topic and she is charging 25 GBP per hour. Thank you very much for such a clear explanation.
So I had my first manual driving lesson today. As soon as I sat in the car I knew exactly how to drive and I didn't stall once throughout the whole 2 hours and I was so good at everything, I tried the all manoeuvres and they all went well. It obviously does need more practice but the only reason I done that well today was because of you. I watched nearly all your videos before my first lesson and honestly YOU taught me how to drive, so thank you! Keep up the amazing work. Your a star. Can't wait to pass and start driving!!!
thank you, this video helped me (used to driving in continental Europe only) to gain confidence in view of renting a car while I'm in the UK. Your calm voice is the perfect companion to the video
I passed my driving test today first time, with only 20 lessons. I'm so happy. Thank you for this video. I have watched almost all your videos and I learnt a lot from you than my instructor. Thank you so much for your hard work
I wish your videos would get more views as you can tell how much effort is put into them. I can easily say you're one of the best driving tutors out there :) great work and thank you for your videos - they never fail to help!
Thank You so much, I usually hesitate on roundabouts because I didnt know what to look for apart from it being completely clear. Now I can see opportunities to go easily, this video is brilliant, cheers mate!!!
Examiners have failed pupils on tests just for just going slightly on the painted bit of the mini roundabout. So beware you need to go around the mini roundabout when going ahead or right. 5 golden rules when observing traffic at roundabouts. 1. Look early for gap or its clear 2. Look for blockers ie traffic coming from ahead which is going to block traffic to your right. 3. Get your timing just right so don't move when other drivers are moving. Or are on the roundabout 4. Giveway to traffic to you right 5. If in doubt wait don't rush look for a better opportunity. Approved Driving instructor Good video no substitute for practice
I love you soo much, I passed my test today! Your videos were extremely helpful. If you are a nervous person ( like me haha) I would suggest you buy Rescue Remedy from boots. It really takes your nervousness away!
Hi Chris, great resource for preparing pupils to deal with all the complexities of the use of roundabouts. Undue hesitation is the downfall of many a otherwise capable driving test hopeful, your coaching on when to enter roundabouts is commendable. Neil (ADI)
I failed my test (April, 2016) with 2 minor and one serious mistake at a mini roundabout :( I took a chance at a gap, and I saw the other driver was behind the waiting line, but as I entered, the other driver speed into the roundabout and honk. So I got failed for that. And now I am facing my next test in July. And practising more roundabouts and driving in all purpose roads. Your videos have helps me lot. Thank you.
I have had several lessons and I find roundabouts (one of) my weak points. My driving instructor showed me this clip and it have helped me gain confidence when approaching roundabouts. She has given me handouts, diagrams, used running commentary when dealing with this and it started to sink in. But all of those resources accompanied with this has made understanding it a hell of a lot easier. It finally clicked what I needed to do! I can watch this after my lesson and go back over what happened and break down what I did well and what could have gone better. The fact I can go over this a 100 times helps a lot! I am no longer terrified of large roundabouts (or 'rings of hell' as I used to call them...). Really recommend to all drivers. Keep up the amazing work! xxx :)
Well, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU, thanks to this video now I love going into roundabouts. Been driving independently on the motorbike for over 3 months and car test is on its way. It becomes second nature to read the roundabouts thanks to your explanations.
hi everyone just would like to say that this channel helped me so much while learning how to drive the best driving lessons channel and the best teacher kriss :-) thanks so much for your channel... been driving for 6months now and pass first time :-)
I hate zebra crossings right at the mouth of roundabouts. It causes cars to stop just out of the exit when they're accelerating and if there're many cars, it slows everyone down
Hi , this is the best videos on dealing roundabouts. I passed year ago and was very helpful for the test and still watch this videos to refresh myself.Keep up the execellent work.
+syed .T. uddin Hi! Hope the video does help. Only go onto a roundabout when you feel comfortable and it's safe. Practice with a professional driving instructor if possible :)
I passed my UK test already but didn't have much roundabout action in it. But I'm a nervous driver in this country, and roundabouts are the reason. This video really helped - thank you.
Wow, this is a great video, the best roundabout video I have seen on TH-cam. My driving instructor never told me what to watch out for on busy roundabouts, he just tells me "you can go now, go, go" when he's beside me when I'm driving. But you took your time to give tips, e.g.watch out for their front wheels, their position, their angle and which car is existing the roundabout. Wow! That is a good tip for me to take on to my driving test next week. Thank you. I love all your videos.
Today I passed my practical test with only 2 minors, in part thanks to this video, which give me the confidence on when and how to go on roundabauts, and now it's a piece of cake. If I may, I would suggest you edit the video and before each segment on a roundaboaut, add a view of the roundabout from Google maps satellite view, maybe with an arrow indicating the road you're coming from. That will meke this video even better and help tremendously to understand each roundabout. Thank you very much.
Well I’m absolutely terrified of my test in 3 days… definitely gonna have two huge roundabouts and everything I thought my brain had registered seems to be missing today… 4 hours tuition left… no hope in hell without watching these videos endlessly. For some stupid reason I was telling myself that I won’t be taken on those ones in my test… looked up test routes… ofc I will, that’s why we’ve been damn practicing them! I need a chill pill and some miracle… my instructor tells me look behind me quick to left when I’m signalling left and coming off and it freaks me out not looking where the car is pointing on a busy roundabout for a split second… at speed… ok calm myself down … 3 days to get brain understanding everything. I wanna reschedule but he said I’m ready it’s just nerves today 🤯 there’s gonna be more on test day though!! This was a panic rant… good luck Everyone! The how to tell when to go is really helpful bc that’s been confusing yhe hell out of me and you need to know and decide so fast to get on!
Hi Chris, loads of thanks for the easy narration of the driving lessons videos, I'm taking my test soon, you have really boosted my confidence in driving. Thank you!
These videos are great. I started watching them yesterday and I feel like I've learned some useful stuff. Saying that, I've got my test in an hour and I'm bricking it. I don't think I'll pass first time but you never know.
I just passed my driving test with 3 minors. I have to say your videos have been so helpful and informative. I learnt so much from your videos. Keep up the good work mate!
Thank you Chris for your great videos. Happy to tell you that I passed first time and I have to give credit to your channel. Fantastic demos with views from different angles, clear explanations, what-ifs in the end, and the pace and tone of your calming voice are some of the highlights of your channel. Your videos on driving tests, clutch control, sat-nav, roundabouts were very useful in preparing for my test and I have watched them several times. Mock videos really helped in preparing mentally for the exam, understanding what to expect and it also increased my confidence! I did 20 private lessons and my instructor always made me feel nervous and incompetent (It was a gimmick to sign up for more lessons). So a big thank you for helping me along this journey in learning how to drive and be a safe driver.
Hi! Thanks for your nice comment and congratulations to you on passing your driving test. Keep up the safe driving and thanks for watching our videos 🙂

thank you so much for this video... and all of the others! I've got my test on tuesday and theres an awful roundabout as soon as you come out of the test centre 😐 so this has helped calm my nerves about it 😊
I've always found roundabouts extremely hard because i just can't decide when there's an opportunity in heavy traffic. One tip I think I'll try to use from this video is to look where the wheels are pointing in order to spot cars that are turning off earlier. Great video - I'll watch it again before my test next week.

Hi. Just wanted to thank you for all your Learning To Drive videos -- I passed my test first time today and I think watching these made a massive difference!
Lol did the car behind at 17:01 toot to tell him to go? "There's a car covered in L plates, must be a learner, they'll never get onto this roundabout without my encouragement."
Seeing demonstrations is amazingly useful; it was particularly helpful when you stopped, so I could observe & think about the various opportunities to go!
Thank you for all your videos. I have my test tomorrow afternoon and instead of freaking out I've watched some of your clips which have managed to calm me down and confirm to me that I do know what I'm doing! I'm a sucker for hesitating at a roundabout but this has broken it down perfectly for me. Now I'm going to hunt round your videos for some tips on reversing around corners! Thanks again :-)

I'm in my late 50's and have only been driving for about 10 years, videos like this are great for just checking I'm still doing things correctly (thankfully I am) and have not picked up any bad habits. thank you.
Pleased it helped 👍

Thank you.
Appreciate your nice comment. Hopefully we'll be able to get driving again soon :)
by far the best video I've ever seen on youtube with regards to learning to drive.
This was so useful. "When to enter a roundabout" part of the video is brilliant!
Hi! Thanks for your nice comment. Sounds like your driving lessons are going to go well :)
Very useful video to watch after failing my test at a roundabout 2 weeks ago!
Hi! Thanks for watching. All the best with your next driving test :)
same.
thank you, this video helped me (used to driving in continental Europe only) to gain confidence in view of renting a car while I'm in the UK. Your calm voice is the perfect companion to the video
Hi! Pleased you found it helpful :)
So watch the tires and be confident is the lesson learned. Well this long video said that in a round about way
LOL
kapil busawah hahahahhah I never tire of puns
Beth M Tyre ;)
As well as screw other drivers' indicating :)
(nowt to do with screwdrivers!)
I passed my driving test today first time, with only 20 lessons. I'm so happy. Thank you for this video. I have watched almost all your videos and I learnt a lot from you than my instructor. Thank you so much for your hard work
+Toya Baby girl Hi! Thanks for your nice comment and congratulations on passing your driving test. Keep up the safe driving :)
I wish your videos would get more views as you can tell how much effort is put into them. I can easily say you're one of the best driving tutors out there :) great work and thank you for your videos - they never fail to help!
Cant thank you enough for this my instructor only tell me when to go but does not explain how to check. VERY HELPFUL VIDEO.
Hi! Glad you found it useful. Make sure that you only go on to a roundabout when you feel comfortable and it's safe ☺️
You said it all, very informational!
Though i'm doing a bike test, this is just as good(obviously) thanks for the tremendous amount of help:)
Wania Wanjiku is
Thank You so much, I usually hesitate on roundabouts because I didnt know what to look for apart from it being completely clear.

1. Look early for gap or its clear
2. Look for blockers ie traffic coming from ahead which is going to block traffic to your right.
3. Get your timing just right so don't move when other drivers are moving. Or are on the roundabout
4. Giveway to traffic to you right
5. If in doubt wait don't rush look for a better opportunity.

Good video no substitute for practice
I love you soo much, I passed my test today! Your videos were extremely helpful. If you are a nervous person ( like me haha) I would suggest you buy Rescue Remedy from boots. It really takes your nervousness away!
Hi! Congratulations on passing your driving test. Keep up the safe driving and enjoy it :)
yemz did you use a spray?
What's the name of the rescue remedy
Everyone recommends rescue remedy. Which one did you use?
Roundabouts are daunting at first but with practice you do get there.I passed first time a few days ago thanks for the videos they really helped 😊
Thank you. I'm really having a bad time with Big Roundabouts but this video was helpful
Hi! Glad the video helped. Keep safe on the road :)
World Driving I passed my Practical. thank you so much for your helpful videos. I will advise people learning to come here!!!
Never thought I'd see a tekken personality on a driving channel
Passed my test in February 1st time 1 minor. Your videos helped so much. Thank you!
I had an accident like a week ago on a roundabout ..... should have watched this vid before.... Thank You very helpful :-)
As an American headed to the UK for a long trip driving is my greatest concern, these videos are very helpful.
Hi! Glad the videos helped and hope you enjoy your trip ☺️
Hi Chris, great resource for preparing pupils to deal with all the complexities of the use of roundabouts. Undue hesitation is the downfall of many a otherwise capable driving test hopeful, your coaching on when to enter roundabouts is commendable. Neil (ADI)
This video will save me on my test. Many Thanks in advance. ❤
Thank you.
+Nayomi Fan personally this is just me but i think i'd of let the other driver go first
also why do you have to wait so long for another test? crazy!
***** Yeah.. waiting here is 4 weeks minimum! It is such a long time to wait :(
Nayomi Fan but good luck in passing your test next time
Thank you! Oh I just hope I will receive a nice examiner too. My examiner was bit scary last time.
3 months waiting here
I have had several lessons and I find roundabouts (one of) my weak points. Keep up the amazing work! xxx :)
Hi! Really pleased the 'rings of hell' video helped! All the best with the rest of your driving lessons and test :)
I've got to do my driving test in an hour. But It's very stressful for me coz I failed lots of time. Your videos are really helpful .
Kadiatou Macire did you pass?
Well, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU, thanks to this video now I love going into roundabouts. Been driving independently on the motorbike for over 3 months and car test is on its way. It becomes second nature to read the roundabouts thanks to your explanations.
Hi! Really pleased the video helped a little. Good luck with your car driving test ☺️
hi everyone just would like to say that this channel helped me so much while learning how to drive the best driving lessons channel and the best teacher kriss :-) thanks so much for your channel... been driving for 6months now and pass first time :-)
just to say a big thank you i have pass my driving licence today with the help of this video
I hate zebra crossings right at the mouth of roundabouts. It causes cars to stop just out of the exit when they're accelerating and if there're many cars, it slows everyone down
I Passed!!!!! Had my test today, this video really helped, Thanks a lot!!
im closer to my test and im messing up on the roundabouts grrrrr hopefully keep watching this video
Hi , this is the best videos on dealing roundabouts. I passed year ago and was very helpful for the test and still watch this videos to refresh myself.Keep up the execellent work.
Your videos are so helpful, I was watching your videos right before my test day, passed in 1st time today with 3 minors :),
Thank you !! I passed my test and roundabouts was my biggest challenge your videos really helped me 🙂xx
thank you for this good video! I really find it difficult anticipating when to go onto busy roundabouts and hopefully this helps.
+syed .T.
Hi! Thanks for watching 🙂
Which test centre
have my test next thursday, these videos are helping my nerves quite a bit so thank you!
Same! Good luck!
It's very helpfully i passed today
Thanks
Today I passed my practical test with only 2 minors, in part thanks to this video, which give me the confidence on when and how to go on roundabauts, and now it's a piece of cake.
If I may, I would suggest you edit the video and before each segment on a roundaboaut, add a view of the roundabout from Google maps satellite view, maybe with an arrow indicating the road you're coming from. That will meke this video even better and help tremendously to understand each roundabout.
Thank you very much.
Thank you :) This video has helped me so much
What an epistle, thanks for sharing. You must be a good driver
Thank you!
I first watched this video when I hadn't started driving, and now I'm watching it again and its making more sense.
Hi! Thanks for coming back :)
So helpful thank you and I'm only 16 but getting ready and revising 😉😉
These videos are great. I started watching them yesterday and I feel like I've learned some useful stuff. Saying that, I've got my test in an hour and I'm bricking it. I don't think I'll pass first time but you never know.
dear sir, loved the way you took effort to teach to how to deal with the roundaboubts.. thank you
I just passed my driving test with 3 minors. I have to say your videos have been so helpful and informative. I learnt so much from your videos. Keep up the good work mate!
Thank you Chris for your great videos. Happy to tell you that I passed first time and I have to give credit to your channel.
Fantastic demos with views from different angles, clear
explanations, what-ifs in the end, and the pace and tone of your calming voice are some of the highlights of your channel.
I have my test booked for a month and my instructor knows I have trouble with coming onto roundabouts, this video gives great examples thank you so much
Hi! Good luck with your driving test. Thanks for watching our video ☺️
thank you so much for this video... and all of the others!
Hi thanks thus videos helped me a lot! I passed my driving test today!✌️️
Hi! Congratulations on passing your driving test! Keep safe on the road and enjoy it :)
Clear, audible voice, sounding great to us. Great narrator! My daughters must watch this video.
Hi! Thanks for watching ☺️
I failed my test for being in the right lane on a second exit at about 3 O' Clock on the sign. Examiner had said turn right, I really should have clarified with him the exit (was 3rd exit he wanted me to take)... Went off into the second exit and that got me a serious
Wait, would he have expected you to stay in the left lane all the way over to the second exit?
Hi. Just wanted to thank you for all your Learning To Drive videos -- I passed my test first time today and I think watching these made a massive difference!
Hi! Congratulations to you on passing your driving test. Pleased the videos helped a bit. Keep up the safe driving and see you on the road ☺️
Lol did the car behind at 17:01 toot to tell him to go? "There's a car covered in L plates, must be a learner, they'll never get onto this roundabout without my encouragement."
I bet it was a BMW
@@chanimpresario4968 Fucking BMW drivers!! hahahah

As PDI instructor this video was very helpful understanding roundabout thanks to Mr amir (M Ashfaq)
You're an excellent driving instructor. Thanks so much for your videos.
Excellent video. Answered almost all my questions about roundabouts. Will be driving in the UK after 20 years! Feel very confident now. Thank you.
Seeing demonstrations is amazingly useful; it was particularly helpful when you stopped, so I could observe & think about the various opportunities to go!
Hi! Thanks for watching and pleased that you found it helpful :)
You are really good. You actually TAUGHT me for the very first time. You are a top of the line INSTRUCTOR!!!
Hi! Thanks very much 🙂
Excellent video, thank you! I'm building up practice on roundabouts at the moment and this detailed vid has really helped!!
+Missus Bee Hi!
Thanks for watching. Keep up the practice :)
Thanks so much for sharing this video, it was very informative and well edited.
Driving through Tokyo's convoluted highways is nothing compared to doing the same in the UK's roundabouts! This video's a lifesaver! Thank You!
Hi! No problem, thanks for watching :)
Superb video on dealing with roundabouts, something im struggling with at the mo as a learner.
Got my driving test on Friday and by watching this video I feel at ease now, thank you Chris! Hope you're well. Fingers crossed I pass 1st time.
Hi! Fingers crossed here. Good luck for Friday :)
did you pass
"We don't rely on other vehicles signals as they don't signal correctly or at all..." perfectly describes UK drivers. What a shame people, get a grip!
Oh yes. Because people from the rest of the word are all excellent at indicating. I've lost count of the times I've been driving in Greece, India, Spain, Italy and America and thought "Damn these guys are good at indicating"
Following on from yesterday, I passed with only 3 minors! I'm really grateful for your videos giving me some last minute preparation. Thanks again!
Hi Chris. Thank you for this wonderful comprehensive video on roundabouts. It covers every little detail and for someone like me who has years of experience of driving in Asia, but very little of the UK, the roundabouts actually got me immobile at times. This has really given me detailed and proper guidelines. I actually understand the concept and feel it is so easy! Thank you.
Roundabouts are my biggest enemy... I have my test very soon and these scare me the most. Thank you for this video, very helpful!
You sound like Bear Grylls.
he really does and its perfect
ThisIsArmando 😂my exact thought
Very true lol 😂
Geezer grylls
He more like David Atten'bro of British roads :)
hi, i passed my driving test about a month ago, I've not yet got a car so I've not been driving on my own yet...roundabouts have always given me great anxiety so its great to know that there is a great tutorial like yours to help me so thank you :)
Hi! Hope it helps :)
