A brief guide on this driving test manoeuvre, pulling up on the right and reversing 2 car lengths, then re-join traffic.
Although it goes against advice from The Highway Code, it's something that you might find necessary to do in the future and is part of the UK driving test.
The examiner on your driving test will be looking for good control, observation and accuracy.
You are allowed to block driveways if you're asked to do this manoeuvre on your driving test.
You'll be practising this with your driving instructor during your driving lessons.

What a stupid, dangerous, pointless and unnecessary manoeuvre. Why not just avoid doing it altogether? Why demonstrate to new drivers how to do something given your comments you clearly don't agree with.

I'll be taking my test for the 3rd time on Wednesday and praying as I've been taking lessons for 8 years now and over 200 hours of lessons and my last fail was with 0 minors! They failed me on something that should of only been a minor.

I passed a few days ago and this was on my test. I only practised this with my instructor once. On the test I was asked to do this manoeuvre on a road of 40mph limit. Thankfully I passed!

When reversing for about 2 car lengths, this can be a bit tricky for Learners though if they focused more on looking at the back window. I suggest 50/50 with the Right wing mirror, as a slight turn of the wheel will cause the front or back tyre hitting the kerb.

Bloody brilliant video I failed my test recently for going to slow on a short stretch of dual carriage way, only thing I failed for with 0 minors this was after everything and just round corner from test centre so I now have to retake my test doing the new test and this was one of my concerns thank you

I got this manager on my test I only got 3 minors on the test but 2 serous faults on the manager and failed my test my next test is on Friday hopefully I don't mess up this time thank you for this helpful video Chris

This is such a stupid manoeuvre it follows against the highway code and it's dangerous. I'm sorry but I'm glad I passed my test last month whoever has to pull this off I wish you the best of luck

This is by far the easiest one
It's no more "dangerous" than any other driving manoeuvre when done correctly and safely. That's why they make you do it, so you know HOW to do it safely. Passed in the end of July still no car never thought insurance will be so high for a good car. All I found it's old car for a good insurance around £100 per month so I better keep watching all your amazing videos. So I don't forget :)
