Something that’s been bringing me joy and an extra lil detail to my outfits is taking clip on earrings and attaching them to the collar of my tops. You can also add a lil chain to either side for more drama too.
Same idea I posted on her last video, its a great way to use clip earrings that more people should try
This is the first I've heard the suggestion, and I thank you so much! I inherited a bunch of clip-ons when my grandma passed a year ago, but for sentimental reasons I wasn't able to give them up. Now I know how I can start using them again.

The neutral fit was my fave. That Dior gown over linen pants?! TO DIE! I’ve seen someone use brooches to bunch up skirts and long shirts to add texture without adding layers. my first thought was howww am i gonna wear a sweater vest in the South in June- but my takeaway from this video is, it would be a neat challenge to cobble together the coolest outfit possible and still be comfortable lol. gotta break those walls and take down the barriers we impose on ourselves~
Seen: True Stories of Marginalized Trailblazers series, Persepolis, Fun Home, Moonstruck series, Bury the Lede, The Outside Circle, Ducks and Maus are the graphic novels that are currently residing on my bookshelf and would recommend them all.
(Tldr; long maxi falls off in public *yesterday*, still looks chic) I too love a long skirt with a tank top. However, yesterday I learned that if your body shape has changed and your long skirt is a wrap, give it a test run at home, in case maybe you once had hips but now do not, and said elegant and chic outfit gets a tad bit ruined WHEN YOUR SKIRT FALLS OFF COMPLETELY IN THE SELF CHECKOUT at Walmart. good news, much less emotionally traumatic than I would have thought, most ppl pretended not to notice and an elderly lady successfully contained her laughter with incredible effort.

I wish I could wear a sweater vest in the summer but I am far too heat intolerant for that. I would literally pass out. Most layering I sadly cannot do during the summer, I am la sad. But I love these ides!!! Also, I love the series Lumberjanes. It's one of my favorite comicbook/graphic novels of all time.
Sidenote, but Gideon the Ninth is SO GOOD. I also put it in our pride books display after reading it! 🖤

Not a graphic novel but a webcomic with an amazing illustration style - Gold Scissors. About a girl who gets caught up in the lives of two eldritch lesbians. Mildly horrifying but not outright gory. But also beautiful and compelling. Idk I can't explain it well haha

For graphic novel recs - I love anything by Eleanor Davis and Jillian Tamaki. The latter drew for ‘This One Summer,’ which is a moody, nostalgic summer read and is actually in the library footage at 9:50, under the word ‘goodies,’ :P

“Outfit recipe” is the perfect term for the concept I was trying to pin down when creating a mood board for a character recently. I came up with “tight tank top and baggy pants” which isn’t original but is a style I noticed I like a lot on myself. Gonna have to participate in this challenge since I found this video so soon!

my graphic novel rec is Shade the Changing Girl, vol 1. it came out a few years ago and was part of the DC imprint, Young Animal, that Gerard Way oversaw. psychedelic, dreamy art, and small-town high school intrigue through the eyes of an alien woman going through something like a quarter life crisis.

I’m also always so impressed with how you make sweater vests work. any chance you could show us your sneaky tricks for “cropping” shirts in a reversible way, or tucking shirts in?
My go to is always long top and short shorts or small top and loooong skirt. Oh, I highly recommend The Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. There's a graphic novel series based on the books. Basically it's about ancient vampire hunters that are born from betrayal. There's also lots of romance! Not to mention the art is very good~

Oh i was hoping that you added a skirt or a puffy skirt underneath the purple skirt with the purple vest to give it more volume eheh but the belt looked fun too and now I have two extra tricks up my sleeve if I don't like an outfit!
