@EVAUnit4A It's called having it before everyone on cdx. Why does one have to watch 52 episodes of some crappy anime to be able to review a TOY. I am reviewing a toy, not a character from an anime. Being a fan of an anime does not mean you have to go out and buy the toy if you aren't into toys, and you dont have to watch an anime to buy a toy if you dont like anime. Get me? I love cars but it doesn't mean I have to sit down and watch NASCAR. I have better things to do than watch cartoons, sorry

@Wartator I'm not a fan of the older robo designs (Mazinger, Ideon, Leopaldon, etc.) so there aren't that many SOC I have an interest in. There's only a few I would still like to get, including Aquarion and God Mars.
from watching this review I have to say you know your work but I also felt you didn't want to do this one since you didn't know all the detail's of it. two and a half out of five stars my friend. sorry.
I used to have one of these... the old school one. I have already forgotten most of it. I know the ear of the blue or the antenna of the yellow one are made of rubber and they are very weak and may got cut off. That Styrofoam box do bring back memories on how they were packaged back in the days.
@EVAUnit4A Well, neither did I. Heck, I wasn't even expecting it to arrive in the package at all, I made dibs for another Revoltech as I already had 01 standard and 02 by the time :P
@Plowboy987 Not all GX Series Chogokin are transformers/combiners. There are normal figures, transforming and combining figures in the series. The later GX numbering seems to trend towards larger robots. And yes, the number after the GX identifies it numerically in the series, hence this figure is number 60. However there are sometimes multiple releases for each figure in the case of repaints or slight alterations to the figure. For example, GX-01 also exists as the GX-01R, GX-01RB, GX-01G etc
@EVAUnit4A possibly the same way I scored Revoltech ARX-8 and Eva-01 Awakening :P But hey, according to the site Josh didn't see Godmars either before reviewing its SoC toy and it still worked.
@EVAUnit4A Sounds nice. I'm sort of drifting off from Revoltechs, but I'd love to have a Jehuty toy. Though I think I'm falling in love with SoC, I bought Ideon on a sale and it really impressed me.
@MrIronhulk123 do you mean statue? its a $300 collectible, not a $10 action figure. So you better believe I will treat it as a statue. If I win the lottery I will treat these like toys and then see "if it blends."
hey! next time do that package opening thing you have at the end for the preview! the transformation scene gets ruined when we already have scene it in the preview D= please!!!!
@megnoman I feel you. My editing program wouldnt let me add anything to the beginning for some reason. It would mean losing the intro which I spent too much time on. It was an afterthought really.
Hope Bandai have done it better with Voltron...smaller and more metal content would be the best course. I wasn't at all pleased with their God Sigma, stupid pre-order had me locked in.
I've never really seen a 3 robot team combine into a decent gestault form (other than JRX from Car Robots ) up until God Sigma. I really wish Roadceaser from Victory could have pulled off a combination closer to this, but granted we are looking at 15-20 years of toy technology. The only SoC I have are God Mars (I wish they had done a reissue in Mighty Orbots colors!) and the Yamato. But after seeing your reviews I'm really thinking about GX 61 Diaoja now. Thanks for the fun review CP!

Really awesome looking. Only thing that kind of bugs me is the head in the combined mode looks a little small...

Head looks pretty tiny while combined. Still pretty cool though.

I'm not saying it's impossible to review a figure from something you haven't seen, but a lot of the flavor gets lost otherwise.
