      A running fielder coming to catch the ball his feet touched very light advertising board n it did not move n even did not shake a bit defying all the laws of physics just because an Indian hater or just SA fan wanted us to believe it. Even that movement could not be picked by cameras . We r to believe it, because that fan could not digest India's win .Even when there's no doubt he's trying hard to make us there's some ,so a conspiracy theory could be floated. '' ifs & buts '' dont count but still we r to believe his'' ifs & buts " do.
      If my aunt had a moustache he would have been my uncle. All the decisions r made on available conclusive evidence but for his sake we r to defy that law of cricket as well.
      Even De cock had a nick on the gloves we Indian fans believe but it's turned down because there was no spike but we could say what if snickometer did not pick it. De cock added at least 25 runs afterwards .Why would our claim be counted ? Answer is - as there was no conclusive evidence .So standards r different for different countries according that South African fan...

      Yes it seems very harsh. I think its because, at the end of the day, cricket is a team sport. And, perhaps the easiest way of identifying a legend is by picking the best player from a winning team.

      I don't blame Kohli all that much apart from him waiting for his 50 before letting lose, but my main gripe being him MOTM when even Gambhir wasn't in 2007, who had a better SR than Kohli and his own team while Kohli's SR was way worse. Hardik should have been MOTM like Pathan was.

    The full match is available on hotstar I slowed down the catch at 0.7x when he took that catch, there was like a SOLID 1 inch between the toe and cushion. Hotstar doesn't allow screenshots otherwise it was there in full hd. I dont why the 3rd umpire didn't use that angle, it was clear as day. I slowed down the rebound catch at 0.7x too and his body was inside the line on rebound. So that's the catch of the tournament alright.

      @@adorablecheetah2930Even if what you are saying is true, first of all Cricket field do not have fixed dimensions like football or hockey etc, so 6 inch displacement of blocks doesn't matter at all in such a big field. Secondly, it is not the job of a player to put the blocks on the markings, so SKY just did his job of catching it while not stepping on the blocks, players are not supposed to be bothering about markings. Thirdly, I suspect this displacement of blocks must be a pretty normal occurance in Cricket, except now people are trying their best to find ways to discredit the catch.

    The dissonance of feeling like you have the best team right now (bc of bilaterals, individual player form, etc) and the reality of not having a cup was just heartbreaking.

      The boundary line does not move throughout the first innings. When Kohli hits a six in the 18th over, the long on boundary does not move even when Dube gets the wicket in the 19.4th over. In the second innings, when Surya blocks the ball, the boundary is seen to have moved. By this it is clear that the boundary line is moving in the second innings but you can't blame the players for this, they are concentrating on the game. This is the umpire's fault and he should have monitored it.

Doesn’t matter if his foot barely touched or not, it was extremely close and it is deemed legal now. Same way to say Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Dravd (coaching wise), SKY, Bumrah, all their legacies are now saved because of that one super close catch and that amazing win.
    India needed this win more than South Africa, I’m glad they got it. But I hope South Africa wins next few times, they deserve it.

      2023 -Test Mace vs AUS. Again, Asian teams' disadvantage (English pitch favoring SENA teams).

    Final 5 overs of the 2024 WC:
    =======================
    15th over: Axar Patel: 24 runs
    With 5 overs to go, SA only need 30 runs off 30 balls, with just 4 wickets down. India looked like they had choked. 😰 The WC was SA's to win with ease. Then the following happened to the run rate:
    16th over: Bowler: Jasprit Bumrah: 4 runs
    17th over : Bowler: Hardik Pandya: 4 runs
    18th over: Bowler: Jasprit Bumrah: 2 runs
    19th over: Bowler: Arshdeep Singh:4 runs
    20th over : Bowler: Hardik Pandya: 8 runs
    Those final 5 overs, are the greatest Death Bowling of WC history. India strangled the SA run rate whilst taking key wickets, including a magnificent boundary catch. Getting Klassen out, who looked super dangerous..... & also Miller wickets were key .....as was Jansen. That boundary catch was critical. Whilst staring into the jaws of certain defeat, India grabbed the most incredible victory.

These people do not have the luxury to measure it from the pitch and because the game has to go on, they are just flipped over with absolutely no form of cheating in mind. Another wicket from India could have sealed the game. While it might have been a bit more nail-biting, I trust India to defend 10 runs off the last 5 balls against South Africa in that scenario. The batting approach the Indian team adopted (probably Rohit inspired) can be expressed by the following mathematical model: Say you have 7 brilliant, aggressive batters. The game format (T20) is one where the number of overs are limited and therefore a dot ball has a high premium. You ask all 7 batters to play aggressively, REGARDLESS of the number of wickets that have fallen (not usually done). As the probability of failure of each batter is statistically independent, it can be shown that that this approach will maximize the score. This is because the probability of all batters failing is P^7, where P is the probability of any batter failing. Even if P is as high as 50%, the probability of a high score = (1 - P^7) = 1 - 0.008 = 0.992

Because you can see a trail mark on the grass of the which the boundary line was previously held in front of the boundary line when he is taking the catch so basically india won because of a boundary misplacement. Now you can criticize me as much as you want but it's the truth

    Even if Surya had touched the boundary (or whatever you called it at the start of the vid couldn't quite understand) I don't think Axar would have been blamed for that over. It would have come back to Rohit and Virat. Virat for the slow innings and Rohit for putting Axar against Klassen when he had Pandya. Rightly so too imo. Rohit had to know how much of a beast Klassen is against spinners. Maybe he was scarred from the beating they took against SRH earlier in the IPL and how Pandya was not of any use against Klassen? But bowling Axar that over against Klassen was a tactical mistake. KD, who could not keep one foot wrong since he entered the 11 had 45 to his name. A 0/45. If there was anything for the spinner Kuldeep of all people would not have given away that amount of runs. Ik Axar was good before that over but when you had Pandaya? Nah man you can't do that.

    @xr4572 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    What is with the FOOT OF GOD here? Are you equating it to controversial HAND OF GOD. The situations are so much different. Bad analogy. India won. Why? Well they managed to make it to the finals after Dhoni left multiple times and have become super consistent, but the one area they weren't consistent on was the playing 11 in the knock out games. The injuries always played a factor in the finals. It was never the same team that decimated in the group matches playing the knock out. This time that did not happen. Stop creating such podcasts with lame narratives to attract Indian viewers to boost rating. India is now the most consistent cricket team and maybe strongest as well. If they can manage injuries and keep the playing 11 consistent they'll rake up all the trophies time and again. Also here is a tip for Indian youtubers - If you don't set the narrative others will for India.

    It's not just the big population not having experienced the 2011 WC. The older generation saw the Indian baton pass through 4 to 5 captains each making incremental improvements to the team's attitude. And while those transitions were happening we saw the losses of 2003, 2007, 2019 with 5 centuries from Rohit. It might sound entitled when you compare it with SA, but man we were looking up to and competing with Aus and Ricky Ponting!

    Axar Patel was the reason why Kohli could play the anchor like he always does. Axar scored 47 striking at 151 plus he scored a bunch of sixes at crucial times to keep the run rate going. He took quite a bit of pressure off Kohli. He also stemmed the flow of wickets too. Critical knock by Axar Patel, second to Kohli Though.

      Second to Kohli? Kohli not hitting a single boundary from 5th to 17th over is criminal on that pitch especially when India has things under control. 30 off 30 you lose that 8 out of 10 times, he got lucky that South Africa choked and bowlers bowled well in the end otherwise Kohli would have been the villian. Not asking him to play at 150 after that shaky start but atleast start hitting risk less boundaries after 10th over

    Sky did not touched the rope as some fans made confision. His shoe was rubbing the ground during running and grass and bit of soil plugged off (normal in running at that speed). It's frictional force and grass comes off which creat confusion. Watch it many times my friend. His feet was mm behind.

      It's a parallax effect btwn the spike of sky, the grass and the bottom of the cushion (white line). If you watch full vedio and zoom from both angle it's some grass plugged out and comes off in front of white line of blue cloth (cushion). More clear from RHS angle. You can check it from icc uploaded vedio or hotstar. Some pak and SA fan spread a vedio of 3 sec from LHS angle with in appropriate zoom angle and poor quality vedio. Too make more confusion. That bottom of cushion was 1-2 cm behind to touch the shoe. It's grass comes off with some soil. Parallax effect.
