Jarrod Kimber made the most relevant point - Pujara ran the Aussie bowlers in the ground over the last 2 tours which made the real difference. Pujara essentially played 2000 balls all by himself in the last 2 tours. That’s 350 overs for a single man across 8 tests.

Took words from my mind, absolutely correct! There is no one like Pujara in current batting lineup who can hold one end and frustrate the Aussies. So, I will be amazed if Australia don't win this time.

As because in places likes of Adalite, Perth and Brisbane matches are playing on drop-in pitches where pitches are preparing somewhere else and just fit on ground, after dominating cricket 60% times and after won all world titles in every format if australia give us the excuse of artificial pitches that cricket is not popular in every part of Australia that's why they are using multi sports stadium then question will arise why visiting team became sufferer of your sin, why not ACB constructing a separate stadium for cricket itself, when Aussie came to india they always put finger on our pitches but atleast we prepare according to our convenience and every team is doing it as don't expect test series win to be served on platter by home team but we prepare here the concept of pitch is totally changed.🤫

Imo, 2020-21 was a once in a lifetime type situation. It’s like trying to capture lightning in a bottle. Won’t happen like that again. Anytime one of the big three play another in their home conditions, they would be favorites. I think the schedule helps Aus considerably, having Perth, Pink Ball Adelaide, and Gabba in the first three tests, giving them the opportunity to be 3-0 or 2-1 by the time they get to MCG. Sydney is always a high chance of a draw. Ind vs Aus has drawn in Sydney the last 3 times, with rain playing a factor. MCG is a recent India favorite.

India is losing it 4-1 this time . The reason is simple . Last 2 times no one was expecting our team to win and australia was relaxed and got overconfident . Secondly pant was the X factor it was out of syllabus for australia think tank . This time they will be prepared for him . They will bowl slightly far way from off stump or attack him through bouncers keeping fielders at boundary lines at leg side and third man . That it .
Rohit and kohli both will flop big time or will not play impactful innings to win because lets admit at this stage expecting match winning innings from them is too much of them . Game australia .

Last series Indian batting rarely fired. There were 90s, 50s, 60s mostly. The batting order was not even fixed. This year we have better Batting order for sure. Rahane's one match heroics can be replicated by KLR but Pujara will definitely be a miss.
Bumrah has been better since 2021. Probably in his prime now. Shami's fitness is a concern but Siraj has only improved. Akashdeep has impressed aa well.
We need proper replacement for Shardul Thakur. He was really critical in that series. A good number 8 on seam friendly pitches is crucial. I think Akashdeep can do that but we are not fully aware about his batting abilities.

I would more happy if Head opens over Steve Smith cause getting openeers with new ball is lot easier for Bumrah, Siraj and Shami.
Steve Smith has lost the mojo but Can't imagine Set Travis Beast Head batting in afternnon Aussie summer against soft kookaburra.
Currently that's easiest phase to bat in the world and I don't want him to score 100 runs within a session and turn the entire match on its 'HEAD'.
Or get some left hand pacer to get him out somehow.

  • @mukundr1204

Batting - India has the edge, especially if Australia is foolish enough to let Smith open. I’ve never seen a more mollycoddled international cricketer than Cameron Green.
Fast bowling - Evenly matched, maybe Australia has a slight advantage given its home conditions, but not overwhelmingly.
Spin - Ashwin and Jadeja pip Lyon. India.
Therefore, I think it should be 3-1 to India this series.

A lot depends on how Y Jaiswal performs. The issue India will face this time around though is absence of a stubborn wall like a Pujara who can eat 30 overs and tire bowlers out..Bowling looks sorted but the challenge is bounce..Jaiswal as much as promising and praised struggles with steep bounce...most Indian batters do...and from 2022 onwards, Kohli's test returns have been mediocre at best...as if he has lost his mojo in red ball cricket...so adjusting to Aussie bounce will be the key to success, batsmen like Rohit in tests, Jaiswal, Sarfaraz, Ashwin, Kohli also struggle with rising ball...only batters who like this spongy bounce and seem to be comfortable have been Gill, Rahul, Jadeja (we so so underestimate Jadeja's batsmanship in tests in bouncy fast paced tracks like Australia, New Zealand)..and somewhat X factor but often maverick batting by Pant...Rahul has a big role to play, but his struggles are weird - it isnt he struggles with technique or skills, its the undue pressure he takes and demons inside his head that make him overthink...he needs to let go, he will score...he is someone who can absorb pressure along with a Jaiswal or a Jadeja...

The amont of nonsense both Jarrod and Deep Das spewed in this half hour video is enough to explain why Talksport are the worst at talking sports, I thought their Football coverage was pathetic but this right here takes the cake.
Jarrod: India were lucky last time, lucky how? They lost half their team, and were replaced by players barely making a start to their international careers. If India wins they were lucky, so two back to back tour series wins is down to them being lucky and has nothing to do with them showing fight or playing the better Cricket, and this guy is supposed to be a top Cricket journalist.
Then Das Gupta says India's top six don't bowl, yes because their job is to bat in case you didn't notice, this is an example of just because somebody has played professional Cricket it doesn't necessarily make them an expert Cricket analyzer.
As for Shami's absence wait and watch Akashdeep, this will be about India's bowlers and Australia's ability to handle them, I don't think Australia have the batting to tackle India's bowling, if India stick to their job professionally then they will win the series.

Do not belittle the 2018 win . It was a full strength Australian bowling attack and younger. Indian batting overseas had historically been the problem. This Aussie attack was tamed and defanged by Indian batsmen in 2018-19.They probably would have won Sydney test by innings if the train had not intervened. This Australian test team is very vulnerable right now. Except other than Travis Head this Aussiie batting is waiting to be had.

Australian batting is the main issue and Indian bowlers can match their bowling so India has an edge.

    • @ashishnair12
      @ashishnair12 หลายเดือนก่อน

Teams go to Australia preparing for Starc, Hazlewood & Cummins but it's Lyon who does the damage. If you neutralize him, the captain has no where to go & has to bring the pacers back which will get them tired & ineffective. Also I feel that if we were to win, our batters need to score 300+ scores at least. But having said that our batters would find Australia a little bit better to bat on than England, SA or NZ because pace & bounce is not a worry for them.
