    Pilot and Flying J are really well spread around the country so that sounds like a good partnership on paper. It's how well and quickly the roll-out goes that will make the difference.

    I’m not sure about Cadillac, but for my Bolt EUV, I was able to enroll in Autocharge+ through the MyChevrolet app. Linked the EVgo account with GM and it worked great. No need to manually activate the charger on the first time.

    Thank you for the Lyriq content! If you get a chance, would you be able to please make a video on the charging curve to see how long it takes to get from 10% to 80%? Would be great to get that detail

      There is already a charging curve video out there from 20% to 80%. It was rather disappointing honestly.

    • @thenetworkarchitectchannel
      @thenetworkarchitectchannel  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@zzmkdw I subsequently made one after this comment but thought it was inaccurate due to a derated EVgo delta dispenser. After Tom M.’s 20-80 vid, I realized mine was accurate too. The low rates & steep drops look to be due to thermal management in the Lyriq.
      I agree, it is disappointing & hope GM improves via OTA updates as time goes on.

    I went to 3 different Cadillac dealers in my area today and same story from each: “we have no lyrics in stock and no idea how long orders will take”. WTF?? I go into BMW and MB next day and they have exactly what I want and in 3-4 different colorways.
    Cadillac need to get their act together

      Here’s the may 18, 2022 they took orders for 3-4 hours . They filed the 2023 allocations and have been placing the model year 2024 allocations. They get these allocations beginning of the month. Having a order on file or computer order helps. I bought 3 cars in two years and I got my Lyriq pretty easy.

      Nope - not true. The free charging 2 year charging offer is with EVgo only. And EVgo does have a partnership with ChargePoint, but the offer does not apply to the charger partner networks - only EVgo chargers.

    Off topic, what’s your opinion or experience on Cadillac not placing a wiper on the rear glass? Haven’t heard of any complaints but to me it seems inconvenient. The claim is with the rear spoiler providing forced air on the rear glass, it blows off the rain. GM just accepted my order a couple days ago so I can’t speak on experience yet. Rather I’m wanting early expectations. If you could elaborate please. Thanks in advance.

    • @thenetworkarchitectchannel
      @thenetworkarchitectchannel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The LYRIQ is shaped as such rendering the rear window view from the mirror unusable, IMHO. The backup cam has a little wiper system on it though, so really not that much of an issue. The areo profile has the back window at a high degree, tinted, and blocked by pillers on either side intruding pretty heavy. Cam sys is the way 2 go there.

    Anyone knows if the 2 years of evgo is eligible for the 2024 model. Is nowhere on the cadillac website and it was specific for the 2023 model on the wording.. 😢 Dealership says yes but I already know that they always don't know anything.. Got in touch with cadillac, and they said to have the dealership check on it 🤦🏼‍♀️

      I watch a lot of TH-cam EV videos. I can't say which vid or vids I saw it in, but "Yes", I am pretty sure all Ultium cars will come with either the Qmerit $1.5k or the 2 yrs free with EVgo.

    LMAO...that's all there is to it! Having to make a video of how easy it is, only to find out that it isn't so easy is classic. Lucid's "Autocharge" is perfect....I just rolled up to the EA 350KW unit, the first time, plugged in and it worked period! I didn't have to register a damn thing.

    Mary Barra was asked if they will build out a charging infrastructure when they introduced the Chevy Bolt in 2017. She said “no”. GM will say they will do it, but GM will rely on Tesla infrastructure and third party chargers. They will delay the Ultium charging network and never do it. That’s the GM way. They will also continue making a handful of EVs, never anything meaningful.

    • @thenetworkarchitectchannel

      I once thought as you do now, that FM was doing a pretend EV initiative to discourage adoption in order to steer demand back to ICEs. However, after looking at what has occurred specifically with the IRA & NEVI funding, I have awhile ago changed my mind.
      There r 4 domestic battery plants coming on line (one of them is already operational) in the GM family of companies called Ultium Cells. Factory zero in Detroit has been retooled for EVs along with the existing Bolt factory and the flexible plant in TN.
      Labor Day weekend I am doing a site visit to 4 new Ultium charging locations at Pilot / FlyingJs. These r not the acts of a pretend effort IMHO
