To all who are wondering about the music: This song is REAL, but was never localized. It was made in an expansion kit for the N64DD, only released in Japan. Look up F-Zero X Rainbow Road.
I miss the days when you could just wreck people straight off the track. "Oh, so even if I win the next race, these 3 guys will still keep me from 1st overall if they finish in the top 10?" [proceeds to hunt them down and slaughter them all by lap 2]. Seriously, they even put a "Rival" marker right above the car with the most overall points so you knew exactly who to terrorize. Forget blue shells, this was rubber banding taken to the extreme.
altispinex86 You actually can't since there's invisible checkpoints across a map. If it detects that isn't at the correct checkpoint, the car will just fall through the track.
I like it Rainbow Road 64 track from Mario Kart 8! Actually can the try something with Course Edit. It´s my favorite Rainbow Road track from Mario Kart 64.
I'm less impressed at this track as i am that you almost won a track on master. No matter what i tried, i could never get past 8th place in the jack cup.
Wow! Fantastic job! Also, lemme just say, I myself have yet to use the Twin Noritta in F-Zero X. Can someone please tell me if the Twin Noritta is a half decent machine in F-Zero X or not? (I’m asking because I have the Twin Noritta unlocked in F-Zero X, but I haven’t used it yet in that game. I have used it in F-Zero GX though, but it’s NOT up my alley in the slightest)
The Twin Norrita is a speed settings machine in X, though the way X handles durability makes it really weak when taking hits, so making sure you dont crash is crucial. Not recommended for Beginners. Recommended for speedrunners.
I'm not talking about the one in this video. Mario Kart 8 has 2 rainbow roads... the one in this video is based off the one that's based off the 64 version. I'm talking about the new one that's only in 8. That one has almost no railings and is incredibly hard to stay on the tracks on Go-Karts... so I can't imagine what it would be like driving at light speeds (in a game where you don't revive).
It was a secret track which you unlock only if you have the DD expansion, also this expansion comes with the track editor, where you can create your own F-ZERO tracks, with all the mechanics the game offers
@@striker7793 Technically it was considered as a secret because for the western audience don't have any idea that a remix like this existed on that time, even though they don't even know that Nintendo created that accessory for the N64, until the emulation gained strength

Look up F-Zero X Rainbow Road.
1:31 That was almost magical, the way all the machines flew away when the music spikes
Would have been even cooler if the music spiked at 2:18
1:31 had the perfect timing where the music transitions and you get boost power. It screamed "Power unleashed"
That rainbow road remix tho
play the song on the highway
YOU GOT BOOST POWER

its epic
It's weird to think that the first remake of this track wasn't in a Mario Kart game.
And then the first official N64 RR remake in Mario Kart was 8, which had Mute City and Big Blue as DLC courses.
It’s like poetry, it rhymes.
F-Zero sounds cool. It would be nice if Nintendo brought a new F-Zero game.
Yeah, it sure would be nice if Nintendo put out a new F-Zero game.
I got news for you. Not good news just news
Real
@@omegafawful2437
At least it's something
1:30 That music was timed perfectly, right alongside the boost power.
I had both Mario Kart 64 and even F-Zero X, and it was a pleasure to run on this track in both games! Memories!
This track looks like it'd be fun to race on. And the music makes it complete.
Makes me wish GX had a level editor
yeah unfortunately with the way gx's levels worked it would have been extremely hard to have a level editor or something like that :(
@Indextic It uses I think .bml files, like MK:DD so when MK:DD hacking starts, we can get F-zero GX Hacking.
***** That's if it starts.

I actually have half a mind to recreate my favorite Mario Kart tracks from both SNES and N64 on F Zero X, and this video actually gave me that!
This is the most 90s remix I've ever heard.
Also, nice job.
Yo, Octoman fucking destroyed that race.
He wasn’t playing around
At first, I thought you were just going to play the normal Rainbow Road track as a joke, but this is actually a pretty sweet remake.
fuck i shoulda just done that
@Indextic you know you could take a huge shortcut if you boost off to the left at the beginning.
altispinex86 You actually can't since there's invisible checkpoints across a map. If it detects that isn't at the correct checkpoint, the car will just fall through the track.
Stick/Rommel well that sucks
That only work in Mario Kart 64 this is F-zero it's not the same thing. If you take a shortcut, you're disqualified and by disqualified i mean dead.
It’s because I’d this course we have mute city and big blue in Mario kart 8
I've never played that new track of Rainbow Road. It looks so awesome!😃😃😄😄
F-ZERO 99 出たから 今後のアップデートにでるかも
Just a tip: While driving press L and go right to do nicer turning, you get around curves easier.
*FAHKUNO DORIFTO*
this is one of the most beautiful things ever in video game history
that music fits perfect. (nice dupple kill at the end of the 2nd round by the way)
0:36 THREE, TWO, ONE, BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!!!!!
Makes me wonder if it is possible to include Rainbow Road into the original F-Zero (SNES)?
More music
More Explosions
MORE POWER!!!

I like it Rainbow Road 64 track from Mario Kart 8! Actually can the try something with Course Edit. It´s my favorite Rainbow Road track from Mario Kart 64.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS IN MY LIFE O MY GOD!!!!
Also the first sandocean track in GX is similar to rainbow road in MK64
I'm less impressed at this track as i am that you almost won a track on master. No matter what i tried, i could never get past 8th place in the jack cup.
Looks like there was no way of putting in that large gap between the road and the space station from the MK8 RR huh?
I love those two pilots!
This video brought back alot of memories. I used to play it with my brothers and always on this level or something like that level
As seen on the title, did you just predicted Mario kart 8 deluxe?
Oh how F-Zero X has the best soundtrack amongst all N64 games.
Hurts when he say "Mario Kart 8"
Good night! You beat the disc drive cups on master with Iron Tiger!?!
Whoa, can anyone link me that music? That sounds fantastic.
Probably found it by now, but just in case:

Just don't do the new Rainbow Road from MK8... no one would ever finish it, because they would all die falling off the track.

Archeides Ive only fallen off of it like twice- I thought the double dash version was harder.

Is there an emulator for the Nintendo 64 DD?
I *think* there's a way to patch the ROM to have at least some of the EXpansion pack.
+THERAZORKILLE Productions theres an emulator now
why not mk8 rainbow road????
I don't know how to use the editor, I don't understand it at all :/
