The city with a population of over one billion is the center of activity in the F-Zero universe and the most iconic track of the series. If they ever make a new F-Zero game after 99, I hope they bring back the announcer from F-Zero X. No one has been able to match his energy for "YOU GOT BOOST POWER!" or "YEAH! THE FINAL LAP!"
as a person who has put a thousand plus hours in X and GX, i actually prefer the one in GX. it feels more iconic
I've only played X a very small amount but the "3... 2... 1... GO!!!" from that game is burned into my mind. I just love the way it sounds.

Man, F-Zero GX has aged really well, compared to a lot of the other GameCube titles.

Most gamecube games aged very well. Wind waker, Super mario sunshine, and Metroid prime’s graphics still hold up to this day. Paper mario and the thousand year door and Luigi’s mansion also still look pretty nice
F-Zero GX is easily one of the best games I've ever played. Unfortunately I've only had the chance to emulate it but that also allowed to play in 1080p and to be honest the textures are sufficiently detailed so it looks pretty good.

I remember F-Zero GX was the very first game I got on my Game Cube, I remember waking up everyday early in the morning to race my older brother. So much nostalgia
My brother, uncle, and I (we’re all around the same age) used to play this game on my uncle’s GameCube all the time. We had soooo much fun. I’ll never get those years back, but it made great memories.

F-Zero X had to be one of my favorite racers growing up. Yeah Mario Kart 64 was fun but playing as a race car that looked like a space ship was awesome. Plus that Metal version of Mute City is still cool.
I love how in the original F-Zero the variations between each Mute City track were daytime, dusk, and nighttime. I miss that game's colors, music, and gameplay! I had a dream that they did a modern update that had all that amazing detail and color, but in beautiful 3D. One can dream...

They did such a phenomenal job on GX/AX. It never bothered me that the thing was impossibly difficult, the gameplay, graphics, and music were just amazing.
Maybe I've spent too much of my childhood watching my brothers play X and GX like the pros they are, but damn, all I can think of is WHY AREN'T YOU BOOSTING MORE???? YOU SHOULD BE CLINGING ON TO THE LAST OF YOUR LIFE BAR IN DESPERATION AS YOU GO SO FAST THAT A SINGLE MISTAKE WILL RUIN YOU.

As a Die-hard F-Zero fan who owns every installment. I really don't appreciate the Mario Kart impersonation of The F-Zero GrandPrix's signature track.
Nintendo NEEDS to realize how large F-Zero truly is in the heart of our fan-base. is it whored out massively popular like the Zelda fan-base? NO! But we have very dedicated and extremely talented fans who show their support with amazing content of all kinds.
Both 3DS & WiiU failed us...let us all hope that this TRUE Racing Franchise is revived well and strong.

I didn't play it but it seems like Fast Racing Neo is a spiritual successor of the F-Zero franchise, it seems to be à good game...
Many tend to say that but I find that misleading and quite odd. Why would an early Nintendo IP such as the F-Zero franchise that started in 1990 for the SNES as successful Launch title and is now onw of Nintendo's best classics, be in the hands of some out-of-the-blue inde group who has'nt even made thier title into a full physical game just (only exclusive to Wii U's E-shop) be the the rating as the successor of the full-time franchise that's been around for about a few decades and has a total of 8 installments?
I don't agree with that theory. And I find Fast Racing Neo to be a real slap in the face to F-Zero fans. Such as how MagaMan fans felt slapped with Mighty number 9
And they used.... well, Mario Kart, for me MarioKart means SLOOOOOOW racing.
I hope F-Zero will truly revive! It might've had its commercial issues, but it remains a cool series. I pray that a brand new F-Zero game will be on the Switch.
The Wii U and 3DS didn't fail, they are both one of the best game systems EVER made!

A game where we find out what he does in his non-racing time.

Captain Andre14 I think it would be cool to have him race and do other things in the game too, so for example there's a chase sequence for racing and then there's another half of the game that's different, I just don't know what that would be since Falcon Punch and Kick and stuff aren't canon so you can't really have that in the game, but it would be kind of interesting to see Falcon Punch actually being a thing outside of Smash

I Mean The Whole City Is A Flat Circuit Board! The Tracks Are Not Above The City. You Can Clearly See That There Is No Distance Between The Tracks And The City. The Tracks Are On Top Of The Ocean/Field Of Flat Circuit Boards.

It's just a Mii. Including the real Captain Falcon in Mario Kart 8 would be unfair for all other characters.

F-Zero GX is still playable to this day, a remaster or re-release on the Switch would be enough for me. Not sure about online multi-player, my internet may die...
F-Zero X has the best soundtrack amongst all N64 games in my opinion. The music to F-Zero has often kicked ass.
F-Zero GX's story on Very Hard was so rewarding when you completed it, but it was a pain in the knockers.
No lie, our local radio station in Armpit, Michigan used this theme for their weather updates.

the sound track wasn't godlike but it was good, the gameplay was awesome but I'll stick with the N64 soundtrack

F Zero X also has a great soundtrack. Moreover, as you do, gameplay is definately awesome. Still waiting for a new one to this day.

Watching them slide all over those curves instead of using the side attack (or whatever it is called) was painful to watch.
surprised no indie developer has jumped onto this gap in the market . the world needs another blisteringly fast future racer with a sick soundtrack where you can just ram your opponents to death
F-Zero X on N64 had one of the best Game Soundtracks ever. One of my favourites is the "Crazy day at call" tune used for the Port Town - High Jump course. And I am amazed, how well the 20 year old Game Cube graphics of GX still hold up today!
After playing GX and double dash everything else feels slow to me.

That is why. Every f zero game dropped in sales. Fzero had the highest sales. Fzero x dropped in sales. Fzero GX dropped in sales to. Looking at this not from how many people like it but from how much people bought it would probably make me think people don't like the game. They also stopped because fzero GX (from Nintendo's point of view) was the absolute peak of the franchise and is impossible to come up with new ideas
I'm a 2003 baby , and N64 Fzero X Soundtrack was the primis of my love for rock / Metal music ... since it manifested my love for heavy sounding/ fast passed sounds

What I never got was the logic of the abrasive surfaces slowing down a hovering craft.
Fzero gx is the best racing game, I’ve never had a game push me far and make me go crazy like Fzero. The racing games today feel slow to me, unlike playing Fzero your actually racing.
I used to play the SNes version with a friend. The mute City theme song was the best of the game. For some reason, anytime my plane is about to land and flies over a city at night, I play the song in my head.
My first play of this game in 1990. Roll on 29 years later I still play it and is still my favourite racing game ever made to date. Why do most racing games get updates except this one?.. ☹️
We need a new F-Zero game. Mute city is in Smash Ultimate and Mario kart (Along with Big Blue), even Blue Falcon is a car in MK8 Deluxe
Maybe one day they will make another F-Zero. GX is by far the best. One of the most challenging (and fun) games that I will have ever played. GX also had an amazing soundtrack. Come on Nintendo please continue the series!

I love how GX just reigns supreme over the other F-Zero games in terms of speed, and then the others still beat out Mario Kart 8 by a long shot.

Oh man just hearing some of these different renditions of the theme brings tears of joy to my eyes.
I always loved that game and to see the change was a strange cool and sad feelig. Sad because the time went by and cool because it was always so much fun playing this game
I tried to emulate the Green Amazone ship in Simpleplanes and the model works quite well, and looks like it has some flying and watercrusing habilities too
(It's a simple model but it's almost fully functional, also the canopy rotates like in the f-zero 2 game when cornering, but the Engine doesn't do it yet)

I've played F-Zero AX at an arcade before, and I was excited to see it because I had never played F-Zero before. God DAMN was it fast! It was so fast I couldn't even play it properly, since I was used to the lower speeds of Mario Kart and NFS Nitro. I'd love to get GX, though, so I'd be able to fully experience it and get good at it.

GX's graphics, Xs sound effects, the original's music framing with GX's overall theme and the harder percussion beats of X. That's a perfect mixture.
