Thank you Judith for all that. I'm sure Japan will be great. We've heard so many positive comments about the country and people.

Jeff, this video is so informative. I didn’t know how to prepare my fibreboard until now. Thanks again so much for your step by step very detailed tutorials. ❤

I have seen some tutorials using Boron. What are your thoughts on that?

Hi Karen. I use boron nitride on my moulds and shelves for polishing. For fusing I usually use Thinfire paper, but have also full fused on boron. In my opinion it is much easier to use.

Does the kiln wash manufacturer recommend 6 coats or do you do additional coats because of how the mold will be used.

I add 6 to give it some more rigidness and by sanding in between each coat helps get a smoother finish. Each coat is thin so you need a few coats to start filling in marks. While I haven't gone any further I would think more coats will result in a better finish. And these last. Because you will only be at slump temps. The ones I did years ago have had multiple uses and I've never recoated. And if you do have a problem easy fixed.

I hope you have a wonderful trip. Where can I get fibreboard? I'm not sure what to look for...

Hi Jill. You should be able to get it at your glass supplier. The supplier I purchased it at is no longer in business so I'll have to search around if I need more.
