About I Dream Of Jeannie: Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman star in this classic ‘60s comedy about a genie and her master. So unbelievably amazing character for Dr. Bellows. He's so unbelievably funny trying to deal with magical things going on around him. Feel so sorry for him. LOL.

The late Hayden Rorke who played Dr. Bellows in this series is an excellent character actor. We couldn't stop laughing at the 'supernatural' episodes between him and the late Larry Hagmann who played Maj Nelson. Such wonderful screen chemistry amongst all the actors/actresses on this set.
Dr. Bellows couldn't understand anything at all, Jeannie was so fast and made everyone of us happy! Thanks dear Barbara Eden.

I loved Gen Peterson. He came across as old school army, but a bit mellowed, like Col Potter on MASH. I couldn’t stand his stuffed shirt replacement, Gen Schaefer. Like that guy was ever in battle.

Yes. Today that wouldn't be possible. He would have to check in with an electronic entry card and the system would not let him, because he is also checked into the capsule in orbit.

There were times when the punishment was justified, you know. Like when he’d barge into Tony’s house without knocking or ringing the bell. I think that may be one reason Dr. Bellows did that so frequently, so the audience wouldn’t sympathize with him too much.

I like the actor who played Dr Bellows. I didnt realize that he was gay according to Barbara Eden. But doesn't matter to me he was a great guy and he helped make the show as good as it was

Maybe this explains why Scott Carpenter was missing for hours after his return from orbit. The official story is that he wasted his attitude control fuel and re-entered at the wrong angle. But could he have had a genie who blinked and brought him straight to his living room?
