    Hi
    Again...Good for you ❤️
    Thank you for your review.
    How do you emptied the oil when it fills up ?
    I learn a lot from you.
    Hope to buy soon BRZ (They will start marketing it in Israel at the beginning of 2023) same color like yours because it suits this car best

      The containers unscrew from the bottom to dispose of the oil.
      Absolutely I love the silver and would never choose a different color.

    Does it do anything ? Make video on how much it collects

    Isn’t an air-oil-separator better than a catch can? I heard it’s more effective & doesn’t require any maintenance (like checking & dumping/cleaning it).

      @Catalyst4k  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do agree. The non-maintenance is nice.

      I think oil catch can is better because the oil it catches is also mixed with fuel. I think better to separate it from the oil system than recirculate it back because gas degrades the oil. It’s only better when it comes to maintenance but for the engine not really.

    this is a first gen catch can, does it actually work well with this engine? is it "proven" in other words

    • @Catalyst4k
      @Catalyst4k  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well I can’t say it’s “proven” but I have started collecting oil/gas in the tanks.

      @michaelsawyerjr1146 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As proven? Yes it works as intended keeping oils and contaminates from rentering threw the intake.
      Hope this helps the question

    What does this part do exactly?

    • @Catalyst4k
      @Catalyst4k  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It removed the oil/gas vapors from the intake system. The PVC system is designed to recycle the vapors so they won’t be released into the air. Adding the catch cans will improve performance and longevity by removing contaminated air.

      Sounds like it improves performance and reliability? Doesn’t really make sense tho cuz wouldn’t it come from the factory like this if it did?

      @@hondaforcedproduction2469 after researching a little, I've learned it (theoretically) reduces carbon buildup on GDI engines so you don't have to resort to $1000 walnut blasting treatments. No improvements in performance, but rather engine longevity. Another thing that helps reduce deposits is using an engine oil with volatility rating of less than 7. Subaru recommends using their own synthetic oil, which probably has this trait. A good reference:

      This definitely doesn’t not improve performance in anyway.
      This is just a way to prevent oils and containment’s from reentering threw the intake helping the car run cleaner and does help reliably
