What a wonderfully clean, distinct, and easily understandable European Portuguese! I just found your channel and revel in it... plus, your exposes of the Portuguese grammar and second to none.
Hi, Lubomir, thanks for the comment, I'm glad you find it useful. I plan to revamp this video soon as its editing quality is awful, that was the first one ever made on this channel.
@@rinasuslin6420 Hi, Rina, thanks for asking, I teach via Zoom and Skype and the website is about to come out soon. I haven't had time for everything, these videos took me so much time especially now in April when I was recording them every day. Feel free to contact me through portuguescommaria@gmail.com if you're interested in online sessions, I'll be super excited to explain the methodology and answer all your questions. :) Hugs
A very informative lesson. You presented it so clearly. I was able to understand what you were saying without reading the captions. Muito obrigada professora Maria!
Olá, bom dia Professora Marija. I have just followed your channel and I must say that all your lessons are excellent in quality. I find it really helping me in my Portuguese learning. Anyway i am restarting it after quitting initially which i thought it so difficult. So your channel changed my view. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
Hello, can anyone help, I would like to see the lessons in sequence, there does not appear to have a sequence numbering? Great classes, delivered perfectly and confidently, I would recommend these classes to anyone that is keen to learn Portuguese.
Hi Maria, I'm really happy to have found your channel. I have difficulty with oral expression and prononciation (but not with comprehension), and your video is absolutely wonderful, and the phonetic transcriptions are a fantastic idea. Many, many thanks for such great work

@@graememacdonald1088 Please check the other videos from the "Pronunciation" playlist, I've already covered some. I focus mostly on the practice, less on the theory there but you'll find various random sentences and practice the word blending.
Thanks for answering a question I was asking myself just this evening: the word ‘esqueci’ - where is the accent. I’ve pronounced it with the stress on the ‘i’ and on the final ‘e’. Now I know where it goes and I’m grateful for this knowledge. It will improve my communication.
Such a great video to review the basics. I notice that the ones with specific endings with final sylable accents, are really odd. I say, odd, because, I seem to just know these, without knowing the underlying rules. Perhaps this is the same in Spanish. I've been speaking american Spanish for 27 years, and even then never really thought about this rule. LOL... Thanks again!
I just finished watching your video on the alphabet and suddenly it became clear to me - I need to pay close attention to the syllables if I’m going to pronounce Portuguese well so I raced back here to re-watch this video. I haven’t had any instruction before you which emphasised the syllables in addition to the sounds of the letters. I did a bit of practicing and I have discovered that when I pronounce a word like I think I should it sounds different than when I pronounce it like you teach it (syllabic). Am I correct? English is my mother tongue; are its syllables formed differently? Your opinion, Madame Philologist, please!
Esta licao e vital, na minha opinao. Tambem eu achava muito util que falava sobretudo em portugues. Fiquei supreendido com o quanto compreendi por causa do seu ritmo de falar, apesar de saber as pessoas podem falar mais depressa. O til e um acento?
Olá, gosto muitíssimo do teu canal e me inscrevi. Sou espanhol e hoje começo a aprender português europeu desde o início.
Olá a Maria!. Great videos, very helpful. Question: for the words ending in "u". I'm hearing the stress on the penultimate syllable, not the ultimate. a-BRI-u. Yet, your description is for the last... a-bri-U. Perhaps it's a subtle distinction I'm not catching?
Eu estudei português sozinha. Para mim, a coisa mais difícil está a pronúncia, purque nós italianos pronunciamos as vogais diferentemente e sobretudo pronúnciamos todas os vogais. Os seus vídeos ajudan muito pela pronúncia! Parabens
@Claudia Pane olá, Claudia, percebo perfeitamente... Eu estudei italiano por 8 anos e tem o ritmo completamente diferente do português. Italiano é todo melódico e aberto enquanto o português é fechado e "escuro" 😀
