Dear USCCA Team USA 🇺🇸, I’ve heard of you from many, that you’re good protection for Americans. I’m looking to join you. Please tell me; Are you half as good as they say you are? If that so, I’m in.
As I have indicated before, we have multiple levels and personal to handle a shooting situation. From watching the parking lot, to cover for the Sunday School classes and finally the church services. Since many of us have CCW, we are the first line, followed closely by those who open carry as back up or cover of our six.
Would you ever want to possibly become part of a security team at your church, David? This way, you can protect your family and the others in your congregation!
@@USCCAOfficial depends on how much I trust them, then I will make my discussion. Since I can not run, that limits me even. Plus being 74", I can only hide in certain areas.
I confused, first why would you sit in front of congregation? You now have to fire across the entire people, that are in total choas, running into 2 lines of fire. By having an armed security in the back, the minute that the intruder raises up, you can aquire your target in just a second or 2. He on the other hand would have to turn 180, and then aquire you as a target, by which time, you should have released at least 3 rounds.? Your church can also have members of a security team who help keep watch and greet everyone who comes to church.

The advantage of closing the distance is to make sure your shots are on target. During stress, shooting fast, with potentially hundreds or thousands of people in the background the penalty for missing is VERY high. Good question, stay safe!
Thank you for the wonderful response, Tom! You are spot on with that! Of course, we wouldn't want you to just stand in the open and let the attacker shoot at you but making that move closer to the target can ensure you will not miss.
@@USCCAOfficial I would add that most CCW holders, and many police officers for that matter, do not train to shoot while on the move. It is a difficult skill to become proficient at and you must train to accomplish it. Far too many people who even shoot frequently, ever shoot while moving or shoot at moving targets. Punching holes in paper while standing still at an indoor range, isn't going to get you where you need to be.

Watch John on ASP. He will show you stats showing probability of concealed carrier needing a second round. He argues you don’t even need to carry one reload. It pitched shootout it is common for defender to panic shoot entire first mag, so I’d say even individual carrier should have at least one spare to support egress. Besides larger magazine on opposite side of belt helps balance things :). Agree with you that more is better if one is prepping to protect a group. I’d also argue that spare magazines in pistols of team members are best! That said at most I’d carry four mags for my pistol which is 61 - so what you said. Even if one panic fires off first magazine, reload should be enough pause to allow defender to force mental reset. Take a breath and make subsequent rounds count. At this range pistol rounds can be quite effective - may take ten heart-lung hits to stop attack so fire fast when you can - but only when you can hit. If you know you can make head shot, or if it increases safety to innocents then take it otherwise CM. Six inches off center of mass is still a good hit while it is likely a miss for head shots. Even head shots are not always single shot stops unless it severs brain stem or spinal cord. If their back is turned try to sever spinal cord at center of chest - perfect shot drops them, otherwise good hit counting toward full stop.
Good video. My comment to add to the training would be to train the parking lot tenders, ushers and the internal security team itself on the Characteristics of the Armed Gunman class. Just my two cents.
