    I really enjoyed your video. I'm a new subscriber. I woke up this morning, and normally I pray and read some scripture first, or some times I'll watch Christian content. But this time, I ended up praying 🙏 read only one verse of the day .then I came across this video. I'm pretty conditioned too , but I totally got side tracked with this video. Even said to myself one minute in, " I'll come back to this after I'm done with my Bible study. cause I really try to stay consistent with my discipline concerning my relationship with God. But you got me brother. You drew me in , and I couldn't stop watching ! 😂 nice job. I like what you do. And I also conceal carry to my church. Have been for at least since I guess 2017 or 18. But especially when it started to become a thing for people to think it's ok to bring a gun fight to the house of the LORD 😔. But as you know it's much better for the good guys to have a gun; cause laws or not, we know the bad guys always do. But at any rate God bless you. Think I'll start watching more.

      Brother, I needed this comment today!!!! I get a few bad comments in the videos, and it is this that keeps me going. As for the people wanting to come to the Lord's house and harm his people, I always like to read Romans 13:4 to reassure myself why God put me where I am today.

      @@ChristianWarriorTraining Amen. Remember, He weighs our hearts and measures our motives, RIGHT. And, a house divided against it's self will fall. The devil seeks to kill steel and destroy. He can't destroy the church from the outside so he comes in with sheep's clothing and tries to divide us from within the church. But remember too the church is the body. We must stand together In Christ as a body against the enemy. And we both know I think, "the real enemy is not flesh and blood."
      Eph 6: v12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places.] This is all a spiritual war over our souls. He is trying to destruction us and take our eyes off Jesus. These guns and tactics are just tools to help us to stay safe . but our real weapon to fight THIS WAR is the sword which is the word of God. who can stand against that !? No one ! Amen ? My tactics and stance here are reading 📖 and keeping my mind heat and eyes on Jesus .this way we can and will have a peace and joy that surpasses all understanding. That's Phillipians 4. Keep the good work up. I will pray for you. Don't get discouraged. . You are a child of God. We are made REAL MEN because of this inheritance through faith in Him. We must endure until the very end. Finish the race. He has us no matter what they say or do to us. We have eternal life

      A lot of people are geared mainly toward competition shooting where looking at your holster won't get you killed. Personally, I would rather be looking toward the threat as well as scanning for other threats than looking down. If you have to go back to guns you won't be caught by surprise.

    • @Scashod
      @Scashod 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@tomtyler5870 you don't reholster until the threat is over. Most NDs happen while reholstering. Even in competition, you safely reholster while looking the gun back into the holster. This is a skill I will not budge on. If I have students who refuse to holster safely after being advised, trained, and counseled, they are off my line and done with class.

    On the 1-yard drill, I would suggest training to place your support hand fist on the left side of your head with your elbow pointing toward the threat. That way your carotid artery is protected from a knife attack and your head is partially protected from a blunt object with your hand. On the one-handed drills, I do as you do with my fist placed in close above my heart. Thank you for all you do brother! I've asked the others on my church security team to look at your channel to further educate themselves.

    Thanks loads for a great vid about this important subject. During my 29 years with a church in downtown Denver we had a few challenging moments, some a bit dangerous, most not, but our church building was shot up twice during that time. Thankfully neither were during church services. However, our building was set on fire by an arsonist while we were singing one evening - about $100,000 in damages, no injuries. In a meeting with a police officer friend, he told me that they get far more reports of church threats than ever reach the media. He also said, "You are crazy if you don't have armed security at your church." To everyone: love God, love one another, be careful and guard the safety of the flock. Thanks again for this vid and for what you do.

      @@keithgraves2837 Thanks, Keith. I've had two family members shot and killed, one brother and one sister-in-law (separate incidents, years apart). My grandfather was shot at by intruders near his ranch in the country, he returned fire, perps left, no one hit but their car. A few years later, my father was threatened at gunpoint by a man just out of prison - dad returned gunfire killing the perp. We are a fairly well to do, middle class Christian family and this stuff was a shock. Each of the incidents were random and did not involve any other crimes or confrontations, just bad and/or drunk people. I'm now 74 and shoot regularly, still ride ATVs & motorcycles and enjoy reasonably good health, so I still consider myself a Sheepdog, by Dave Grossman's definition. At a small church now in a very small town in SW Colorado now, but still have 2 or 3 armed defenders at each service. Thanks again for your kind comments.

    You really need to visualy check that your holster is clear every time you holster. I used to contract for the CIA with the company formally known as blackwater. They'd have a student shoot himself or have an AD at least once a year at moyock from holster obstructions. It happens easier than you think. So it became procedure there to visually clear your holster every single time. Especailly when operating with a cover shirt/garment. You do you though.

    Good solid common sense material here, the only addition to make it an even 50 rounds is draw and fire 3 from 25yd "quickly" but repeatedly stressing you have to get the hits. In reality I would impose no time limit, no hit requirement, (just don't tell them that). Our churches surely have 25rd spaces, (can you say rifle, I know you do Kieth) the object here would be to stress you have to take the time to get it right and for some it would give them confidence to take the shot and to others; you need more practice or you have to change/charge the distance. I would still use the timer and not tell them time and hits don't count, its about discovering where they are at, getting them to slow down enough under the previous stress to go fast, so I would want the timer induced stress to be included in the package.

    I love the destine you have for the 40 S&W - it’s a solution in search of a problem.
    I know not every range allows for the use of barricades but training shooter to focus their movements on getting to cover is critical to helping them increase their survival rate in gunfights. Fighting out in the open is the surest way to get yourself killed.

    • @sax5055
      @sax5055 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep. Great point. And shooting around cover/concealment will throw your point of aim off a bit, because you’re seeing objects in your peripheral vision.
      I’m really good with a bow in the open, but put a tree 3 yards in front and slightly to the right…I have to train “my hold” to ignore the obstacle.

      Wow! Now that’s a great out-of the-box thought. Love it!
      First time I ever used a Beretta was during Active Shooter training with simunition. I saw the Active Shooter…I drew…my safety jammed! What the $&#¥?!!! I dove for cover. It took both thumbs and as hard as I could press to get it off. I’m highly trained on 1911s, so flicking the thumb safety off is second-nature. It ruined me from ever carrying a Beretta.
      But you’re correct…could I pick up my buddy’s H&K, S&W Shield, Canik, whatever and know the intricacies of each firearm. Great tip!

    Great vid (even without timer and targets 🤷🏻‍♂️😂)
    Okay…my personal nit pick. I’ve been doing armed security for 10 years. Our firearms test doesn’t go past 15 yards. During training classes, the owner of the company has asked, “Who’s in favor of adding a 25 yard distance to the qual test?” I’m always the only one in favor.
    My reasoning is, you need to not only be good at farther than 15 yards, but you need to KNOW if you’re NOT good at that distance (don’t take the shot). I’m a bit internally conflicted as to whether a person should fail for missing at 25 yards…maybe more of a “now you know your limits drill.”
    One of our instructors attended an Advanced Handgun course for LE and professional Security. The instructor of that course started out the class at 25 yard’s and sent anyone home who failed. All Security passed, 6 cops went home (but that’s not always the case; it could easily go to other way). I guess I’m just saying, you never know when you’re going to get into a Lakewood Church type scenario where you are NEEDING to shoot past 15 yards. Why not train for it?
    Again, just my personal nit pick.
    Love your stuff.

    I like your qual. Just seems like the time standards are crazy long. Need to walk and shoot for sure. But also needs to draw and shoot quickly and accurately.

    Really great stuff. I have spoken to so many different churches and everybody is doing something different. Some are even pushing it out to 25 yards. I like this drill sequence. Very practical and covers all the bases.

    Great training even if not in a Church. But, for most, you’ll need a privet range or take a course ($).

    Good training Keith, Rich good job, thanks for devoting your time to this training program. I was a police officer 34 1/2 yrs. Very very good statement. Never look to holster the weapon never. Not looking results in you knowing exactly where the holster is on your Sam brown. Not looking to holster your weapon you remain focused. surroundings. For me it worked well. Not judging an officer taught a different procedure. In fact our range master would have us officers closed our eyes. He would call out the location of various equipment on our guns belts and we were to tap the location of that piece of equipment. Good training.... Stay Safe and God Bless.!!!

    After several years making a living carrying a firearm and now helping lead my church's security team, I appreciate your videos. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with you about not looking at your holster when holstering your weapon. There is no need to practice that "skill." Moreover, it introduces unnecessary risk into the scenario. I am 100% in agreement with keeping your eyes on target and maintaining situational awareness following the need to draw your weapon, but I will reiterate - there is absolutely no need to practice holstering blind.

    I’ve been looking for a gun drill that “made sense “ most are directed at competition shooters. I’m a hobby shooter with an aim to get my Arkansas concealed carry. We are a constitutional carry state where I can carry open or concealed without a permit but with the ccl I can carry in my neighboring states. Thanks for this

    Great video. I'm 1 of 6 of our small (~150 Sun morning) churches safety team (security, but liability thing with the name). I'd love for our team to get some training or at least evaluate our members.
    I have at least some confidence in a retired LEO, but the others I have no clue of their competence. I've brought it up 3 times that we should at least get together 1 weekend and do some very basic training. We had that scheduled 1 weekend, but got rained out. That was like 5 months ago ☹️

    Semper Fi Rich,
    I’ve ran this drill several times, enough to share with friends and neighbors. Also have had my Community small group run it as well. We added small bearers and other obstacles, and keep changing those around, key - diversity.
    God Speed, God Bless and keep on training,,,,,,, You will fall back to your lowest level of training, when it goes connetic. You want good reps, under your belt (in this case, under your “T” fingers).
    Semper Fi,,,
