Constant 30fps on a handheld playing a game as demanding as this is just insane. My old ass never thought I would still be alive to see this in gaming it's incredible 😲
@@SteamDeckHQ I'm so thrilled im 5 hours in on GoW Ragnarok on my SD, and so far I have had a much better experience than the previous installment of GoW on my Deck. 🤞
I replay back the previous GOW. Its improve a lot compare to before. They did something I guess to optimize GOW for steamdeck. Previously cnt really play at original setting without fps at times drop to 25. Now even in alfheim got solid 30 fps. Before this fps drop like 20-25 fps in this area.
Thanks for the video! I'm having big FPS drops in the second area every time there is fog in the background. It's making the game almost unplayable, and getting back to normal whenever I turn the camera. Does anyone else have the same experience?
@@SteamDeckHQ this is slightly ironical that the game has been announced as verified today. However, this is a game breaking issue that makes chapter 2 unplayable
I believe I managed to slightly fix the issue. It seems to be a Deck GPU related issue. The Steam deck doesn't seem to automatically rise GPU frequency whenever these heavy effects appear on screen. Set SteamOS Frame limit to 30 FPS, then set Manual GPU Clock to 1600 MHz. The issue should be gone / minimised and the FPS will stick to 30. Power tool if you have it set to performance will also help. The biggest downside tho is that it's going to shew battery more than it should. Maybe try to force GPU clocks only in this area.
XeSS at Quality had the same performance, but it didn’t look as great overall in the smaller details (a bit more blurry). Frame gen needs more testing on our end!
I hope this game goes on sale on 😃Black Friday if it does I’m gonna buy it for my steam deck the hell paying 59.99 just to play this game on my steam deck im tryin to save money right now 😃
Hello, please tell me, if it is possible to play this game if, for example, I have a 64 GB Steam Deck + a good 256 GB memory card? Will it work normally from a memory card?
2:00 has to backtrack when he said the exact same thing back to back, cause i didn't remember if the video lag and repeated, or he had actually said the same phrase twice
I have encountered an audio stuttering issue with higher frame rates, if I set it to 30 it can reduce the quantity of the stutter, but won't completely eliminate it. Did anyone find a fix for that?

@@prizmovr8817 trust me i played it, its very VERY bad
No PS Overlay? Hell yeah!
I was really surprised to see how well it works on the Deck. Nice surprise !
Right? It’s pretty insane honestly. Did not expect it to not only work, but work well.

GoW 2018 still crush like crazy on deck.
It’s crazy how well this one is running too!

I need to play more, but yeah, second area started to show signs of performance issues.

How was the Intel Xess and did you use the Frame Gen?

I am playing it on my oled with taa quality which looks much better than fsr 3.1 and i have it locked to 40 fps runs great

I have a ps5... Is this worth it
I downloaded it on Steam deck I can't open it and play😢
What happens when you try to?
@@SteamDeckHQ i fixed the problem i deleted it re download it now its working☺️
why can t we buy this on PH fk
Not avalible in SEA.
It’s true. No newer PS games are that require PSN.
Mean while Dragon Dogma 2….screw you Capcom
I do hope they find a way to get the game working.
Why bother getting a ps5 when you can get a steam deck and play sonys exclusives and play them portably
Don't you need to go through a Sony launcher or something
Nope! No launcher.
There is an in-game Playstation overlay, which is alright.
You need pass tutorial. Second world destroy Steam Deck.
Seems to me like a bug with a shader. Cause CPU/GPU usage isn't rising when FPS drops happen. But that is very annoying indeed!
Our time in Svartalfheim wasn’t terrible so far, but definitely needs more testing.
