    It would be cool to see a winter biome that has ice/snow spells and icy/snowy items. Maybe the penguins originated there but were forced to move for lore reasons? Or maybe there are still penguins there but due to a disagreement the grass penguins moved away?

    • @buubaku
      @buubaku 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brucetoons u haven't spent enough time around babies if you've never seen a snot bubble like that before. And just because its fantasy, doesn't mean it doesn't have realism, realism in fantasy is what makes for meaningful world building, just look at lotr

    • @brucetoons
      @brucetoons 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@buubaku 1. I've seen snot bubbles before, but also this seems to be a fully grown dragon, not a baby, and snot bubbles don't actually get that big as to be the size of what's seen in game.
      2. I know that there does have to be a level of realism, I'm an aspiring author/illustrator, but it is still fantasy, and it doesn't have to be the most realistic thing ever, like I said, It's a dragon, so most likely it has different anatomy than a human (most creatures do, like that lizard that sprays blood out of its eyes to distract predators)
      3. It's his game, so he can decide how dragons work in it, they don't all have to be the same as one from something popular like lotr or harry potter
      4. I really don't want to make this a fight, all I was saying that the location of the snot is not that important of an issue, and that if it were in the nose, it would cover up the dragon's facial features, so please don't make it such

    In the first legend of Zelda game, the areas around the dungeons were very unlike the normal areas. They had tiled floors around them, dead trees, statues. And the color scheme was very different as well. Being much more reminiscent of the monsters in the game and less like the green of the surrounding land. Though you were probably already planning on doing this, I would like to say that it would probably be a good idea to do this for your game. Make the dungeons feel unique and different. I’m not saying use a different sprite for each dungeon. But do change the color palette.

    Maybe add a little delay or offset to the camera before following the player to give a feeling that the player is moving in the world and not just an stationary image while the map is moving.
    The player design is also a little bit odd cause its outline is thicker and the world sprites have thinner line. It detach the player from the world.
    Just my opinion 😅
    Cool progress dude🤘

    I know I’m a bit late, but for the invisible tutorial part at the beginning of the game with the signs, perhaps you could use a village instead. A village wouldn’t look as out of place as some random signs, and the player could expirement and feel more at ease if they were introduced to a few npcs at the beginning of the game. Just a thought!

    Perhaps you can move that pot down a little so it's more obvious to the player. I think a small gap in the trees might be too subtle but won't detract from the fact the player has to head back to there once learning how to break pots.

    Maybe for the caves they could be like small little procedural dungeons that have periodical chest loot and enemies corresponding to the difficulty of the cave.

  • @Neo-nn1hb

    you should add potions that give a unknown effect each game. For instance, you find a red potion in a chest and decided to drink it. It give you a temp speed boost. Now you know that red = speed for that game. Next time you load it up the red potion could give you fire resistance. I think this would keep the game from feeling too repetitive and could be fun.
