I think the best aspect to your content is how well you explain the logic behind the tactics of modern air combat. One thing that might be useful in order to understand why a fighter's radar will likely be more accurate than a missiles is to visualize the size of their nose cones and therefore the size of their internal dish. And when you compare their sizes it's understandable that the fighter has a lot more power to send through its dish than the missile could muster. Similarly, some of your more recent videos where you turn off the radar offer good insight into when and why a pilot would choose to go passive and conversely when and why they don't mind broadcasting their position (or at least direction).
Love his channel for that very reason, too. And he's got a very solid grasp of those techniques. I love (and miss) his TACview segments! Take care my friend

I like it when you surgically remove a few engines from the AWACS, giving the crew the chance to bail. It's fun and kind of a troll too. The charge-in caught J-35. Good one!
This one was sadistic. Like "look, I could absolutely disable your plane in a way that lets you go home. Unfortunately, I feel like watching a fireball."
It reminds me of how modern torpedoes work; they normally rely on manual guidance from the launch vessel via a wire that trails behind the torpedo (similar to the wire guidance of a TOW missile), but if the control wire breaks the torpedo switches to automatic mode and uses onboard sonar to acquire and prosecute the target, like how a Fox 3 missile will go "pitbull" and use its onboard radar to acquire and home in on a target if it loses guidance data from the launch aircraft.

GS, love your videos! Raptor is king and kicks ass (all the time, yes lol) I love even more seeing you fight your way out with the odds stacked against. Been a while since we saw content in some of the less, high profile jets in DCS. Would love to see content with underdog or older fantastic jets in DCS like Mirage F1, Mig 19, and others. Saw a really cool thing on military channel, we're the f22 along with the BR1 bomber working together, it was four 22s against 30+su30,rafeaels, computer sharing shots with each other it was awesome to see. Maybe that could happen here ! Thanks! Love this channel!!!
Gosh these F-22 videos are amazing. I do wonder how accurately DCS models stealth, though, and how accurate it is to even get a weapons-grade lock on an F-22, when the thing has an RCS of an eyeball or something similarly tiny. According to Sandboxx, a stealth jet is still liable to be picked up by low-frequency L-band radar, but not the weapons grade X-band (IIRC) radars. Makes me wonder if true stealth will be achievable such that nobody remotely knows the aircraft is there. Also, mark 1 eyeball...probably not the route to go with regards to actual mission planning. Going WVR reduces probability of survival from a shooting gallery to closer to a coin toss. So I do wonder how professional USAF mission planners would go about such scenarios.
I admittedly know very little about radar, but it seems that you could theoretically guide a missile into the vicinity of the aircraft using L-band, and when it got close enough it could pick up the aircraft using its own radar and go pitbull. The biggest issue is probably that an L-band radar useful for that purpose might be too big and heavy to fit on a fighter, otherwise such solutions would have been implemented 20-30 years ago.
The only thing I can see in this video that the most important thing is neither jets nor missiles, I mean all of them wether F22 or J35 are great great jets that only few countries have the ability to design and build, but the priceless treasure is a well-trained pilot!😮

What I have heard about stealth is that "this plane has the radar cross-section of a bird", and "this one of a bee". And now at least in DCS the F-22, the best of the best, is spotted at 24 miles? What good is stealth if you aren't invisible and if have to get lucky to live?
Please more Fat Amy in BVR vs contemporary adversaries. We understand your disdain, but it would be nice to see how she matches up since she’s the US’s leading export.

70-0456 did not get the C-5M upgrade and went to Davis Monthan in 2017. She might still be there as a hulk but her fly days are long gone.
