    Thank you so much! I was waiting for this tutorial for a long time (1.6VTi 207CC), and I can finally do it myself now. The mechanics were refusing to do it as if I was asking for an engine disassembly. I am 99% sure the car's idling problems are caused by dirt settling in the throttle body. Gonna clean the sensors too, and give you my feedback. Cheers

    Thanks for posting this, another really helpful video on this engine. I don't suppose you happened to notice of taking the air filter housing and throttle body off gave any access to the timing chain tensioner and water hoses that go into the rear of the engine. I'm trying to trace a water and oil leak and think these could be the reasons, but access is impossible from underneath or through the wheel arch.

      Thanks 👍
      Chain tensioner will be on LH side of the engine under the cover( beyond pulleys and aux belt), water pump can probably be seen from above one you remove filter housing and tube that connects it to throttle body. I didn't look for it, but access is really tight
      All the best 👍🙂

    Hi mate, I do like this video although some shots are to close in. It would have been nice for a more detailed look at the throttle body. Do you know if the Throttle potentiometer is actually attached to the throttle body? I'm trying to learn more about cars as would like to fix my own. I've done research and am aware of many sensors and the similar issues they cause, but for the problem I have, I have a feeling it could be the throttle potentiometer/position sensor that has, or is failing. Thanks in advance!

    Is that one sensor the MAP and MAF function? Im getting an "air circuit" fault code and the radiator fan is running constantly, otherwise car runs fine. I'm wondering if it's this sensor...

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I beleive it is MAP/MAF combined.
      I've had rad fan run continuously with temp gauge going crazy, it was loose contact on plug connector to temp sensor, so, inspect plug connector to MAF sensor carefully, it might be the issue there

    How did you remove the throttle body connector? I am having really hard time. I can't even seen it. I have to feel with my hand and can't tell where to pull the tab.

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I can't remember exactly, but I know it was a real blindfold struggle. I think there is a tab on flat side that has to be squeezed in

    Is throttle body the same as an EGR valve? I believe mine is blocked.

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Trottle body regulates air intake to the engine and EGR valve regulates exhaust gas recirculation (back to intake)

    Hey mate. Thanks for this video. Showed me how to get to solenoid. I tried replacing the back solenoid and cleaning the front solenoid. Didnt work. Do you think cleaning the maf and throttle body would be worth a try? My symptoms are white smoke out the exhaust, smells a bit like old fuel or oil (car lost about 20-25% fuel efficiency) and i get the anti pollution fault. Also 45-60 seconds after moving away in first gear the car jerks forward once (its 1.4 VTi)... apart from this it runs fine. Also seems to be a slow coolant leak . but its not getting into the oil, and oil is not in the coolant

      Have you got obd diagnostic reader? Any codes? Fuel smelling exhaust fumes and fuel economy indicate overfueling, MAF sensor could be culprit, also bad leaky joints on intake hoses/pipes after MAF sensor could do it, bad oxygen sensors as well
      If your obd reader doesn't show any codes, try to look into live data from sensors whilst engine it running and see if there are any discrepancies on readings.

    Hello thanks for your video, you wouldn’t also happen to know how is possible on Peugeot 207 1.6 VTI to change oil level sensor? Because there is no room underneath to get a new sensor in the engine because of lack of space above?

    Hello, I have also Peugeot 207 1.6vti with al4 gearbox. The problem is very strange, when engine is runing at idle when kick gas pedal for half sec, first the car think to rev or what to do, second when headlights are on and door is open and lamp working, lights flicking(I mean working but not at 100% maybe 70-80%). The car is without any ecu errors, new crankshaft sensor, new ignition coils, new(changed before 10k) ignition plugs, restored generator with new voltage regulator, maybe missed something but no no, the car not working correctly for me. Have you got idea? If you tell me your email I can send you video because is difficult to explaint it.
    Thanks from Bulgaria

    • @mrfxr1695
      @mrfxr1695  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Could be many things.
      Because you mentioned hesitation to rev up and issue with lights I would test electrical side. First, what is battery like? Is alternator and regulator 100% good? You may check battery cable connections, connection to alternator, earth strap connections to engine etc.
      Please check that first and also test alternator if you can ( check the belt as well)
      Apart from electrics, hesitation to accelerate can be caused by incorrect fuel/air mixture. That can be caused by any of following sensors, MAF, map ,Oxygen, crankshaft position , camshaft position, temperature etc. but because you've mentioned lights I think it might be electrical
      I hope it helps 🤞

    • @hristiangoranov6096
      @hristiangoranov6096 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @mrfxr1695 The voltage regulator is new and working fine. Alternator is charging max 14~14.1V, min 13.6~13.7V which is less for me but the ecu tell to alternator how much to charge some economic stuffs. The battery is new bosch 74ah. Few earth points are checked. Tomorrow I can send you email with video, because the sound is strange, only to compare with your.
