I also have The Word is Live boxes. Had it for years. Great boxset! Been a fan since the beginning. Also a collector of everything YES. Pretty sure I have every boxset of YES. Sometimes they sit for a long time before they get played. That's just because I have so much YES to listen to. Can never have enough YES and I always want more!!!😎
Don't have many box sets in my collection, so I only have two live ones: Springsteen -- 'Live 1975 - 1985' Prince -- 'One Nite Alone...Live' Both really good. I'm sure you have one and definitely don't have the other.
Hi Brendon, you got me at box sets again... I have the yes the word is live is excellent. Love all the other ones too. Would love to get that best buy exclusive gilmour
I got lucky and found a new copy in a used record store. I didn’t know it had come out at the time. So glad I found it as you know I’m a big Pink Floyd fan.
another fantastic video on your box sets Brendon.I'm really enjoying these.I only have the 4 cd box of David Gilmour, don't have the Sabbath. The Doors I have no.17565 lol
That Doors boxset looks awesome! I have the one CD version, and funilly enough it features Lucille (and I saw that it's listed in your booklet too). I still have the VHS/cd boxset of Metallica. Cool show! Cheers.
Looks like I just made a mistake about Lucille as it’s on both the boxset and stand alone release. Sometimes I’m reading stuff so fast when putting the videos together that I miss things. It happens.
Brendon, in regards to the David Gilmour Barn Jams I know they are on the Rattle that lock deluxe cd/dvd packaging not sure if I have them also on audio I’ll get back to you about that. Because I see those tracks are available on the digital version of the deluxe version of rattle that lock.
Yeah I have those boxsets and there are available video wise. I’m sure someone has ripped audio only versions but I still haven’t seen a bootleg that gathers them up yet.
At the time - close to 30 years ago, lol - I purchased the Metallica Live Shit box and I loved it just for the audacity to release such a wealth of live material to the Metalliheads of the world. It contained 2 full concerts on 3 videotapes (remember those) but I especially played the 3 CDs numerous times even though some of the musicianship wasn't exactly stellar through-out. Nevertheless a good listen, and it still is. And, you are right Brendon, a great book.
Hi Brendon, more information on the Molly hatchet shield of honor cd was supposed to be released in 2019 to coincide with the battleground live cd for the bands fortieth anniversary. Maybe the record company and or band shelved the cd. That's a bummer. Hopefully the band/record label might release it at a later date.
Yeah I’ve yet to hear anything of this nature. There are lots of times artists say their intentions and don’t actually get around to even starting them. Which maybe is why we haven’t heard anything on it 3 years later.
Hi Brendon!! great boxsets as always... they all look amazing. I've no idea of the Doors boxset, but i think is really cool and great to see all the details they put in it! Also would love to get Black Sabbath's and even try to get Metallica's, my brother still owns an old one, but can't remember if it has dvd instead of vhs. cheers
I've got the group live coming today I think I've ordered a couple of live cds by mistake last year ordered queen Emerson lake and Palmer and the darkness yesterday well reo Speedwagon Frampton pink Floyd have some great live albums and being a McCartney fan I love his live cds never liked the stones live albums to much but they great to see live glad I went anyway
@@BrendonSnyder thanks I will the darkness will be like a blind date havnt heard anything on it going from a suggestion hard to believe it's been nineteen years since their breakout album that was a fast nineteen years I was forty one wish I still felt as good as I did back then and I was dating shot nineteen year old from new Orleans dated her for three and a half years I miss the good old days
The whole thing is curious. I wonder what style of music the ep will be. But also why all of the sudden is he allowed to do this? Metallica has a rule that no solo albums or side projects allowed. This is why Jason Newsted quit.
A father and son where moving a piano upstairs - they stop half way up - the son says dad - do you know the pianos on my foot - the father replies - you hum it son - il play it!!!! - lol
Killer Box Sets, Brendon

My favorite box set was the No Thanks, 70s Punk Rebellion. Nirvana's With the Lights Out was another in my collection for years.
I’ve got several Nirvana boxsets. At least one will be included when I do a special Alternative Rock edition.
That Doors Box set is awesome!
I love how realistic all of the reproductions are. It still blows my mind and puts a smile on my face.

Any Grateful Dead boxsets. 30 Trips Around the Sun, Complete Europe ‘72, May 77, Springs 1990, on and on 🌹
I own Grateful Dead albums including some live ones but no boxsets. But they are kings of live releases.
Don't have many box sets in my collection, so I only have two live ones:
Springsteen -- 'Live 1975 - 1985'
Prince -- 'One Nite Alone...Live'
Both really good. I'm sure you have one and definitely don't have the other.
The Springsteen is really good and one of the first of its kind. Had a few unreleased tracks back in the day too.

I love the David Gilmour. Those Barn Jams are my favorite. If I see those included in a deluxe edition, then I have to have it.
The 1989 show is my favourite, too.
👍

I felt the same way when it came out. Boxsets were relatively new at that time as well. And even more so as all Live material.

I used to have the big road case style version of the Metallica set on CD. I keep hoping maybe they'll do a big LP version of that same set.
It would be nice if they do a super deluxe boxset reissue if it and put it back in the original Road Case.

They released a box set of TYPE O NEGATIVE a few years back...I should get it today...idk if its your cup of tea but have you done any videos on them?
I’ve got one of their albums but not a big fan. Musically I really liked them but was never into Peter Steele’s vocals.
Kirk Hammett is releasing a solo album!!!! It's an EP called "portals"
