- With a music collection of over 11,000 CD’s, I typically focus on the album. But I also have over 200 boxsets. So for this video I’ve selected 5 of my favorite boxsets to run though . Providing little mini reviews and unboxings.

I’m not really a box set collector, but absolutely love the Pandoras Box in the background. I picked it up when when it was new at the time, and hooked me into the band. So many great unreleased stuff there and an incredible set list overall. What a listen! Another big one in the early 90s was the Zeppelin one with the crop circles. It was huge to us even having just a couple new Zep tunes. Thanks for sharing!
Great looking boxsets. My favorite from these 5 are Dio, but I also would like to get Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams.

The best box set I've ever had my hands on is the Black Sabbath Paranoid box. Comes with 4 discs in individual sleeves, the remastered Paranoid, the quad Paranoid, and two live shows, Brussels and Paris. When I bought it, it was $40. Best buy ever!

The Doors' "L.A. Woman" box set is great. Much better than I had anticipated. This has much to do with the fact that the takes for each song were recorded live in the studio, with Jim Morrison on lead vocals. This makes for an interesting listen. Even the longer session takes sequences are really fun to hear. I guess it depends on how much you like the "L.A. Woman" album. If you really enjoy it, then this box set is a must have.
this is so funny, I just got done listening to The Doors L.A. Woman for the first time ever and you show a boxset of it on the same day. 😆🤘
That Kiss boxset sets a complete new standard for boxsets. The level of detail and thought that has gone into it, shows the respect that the band has for its fanbase. It looks amazing.
I respectfully digress, sir. The only respect Gene Simmons has is to bilk "fans" out of their hard earned money. Creatures of the Night box is going for north of two hundred fifty dollars for used copies. Thanks but nah.

Edit #1: Saw Kiss nearly twenty five years ago on tour that was advertised as "last time to see Kiss live" and rolled through Omaha three or more times since. And wouldn't cross the street to see them again, meh.
@@briankessler3501 I was looking on Amazon and the boxset was going for $400 cdn. That tour was probably the last with the original lineup.
The Kiss box sets are beautiful my favorite box sets are the Metallica deluxe box sets they started putting out in 2014. Master of Puppets box has to be my favorite box set ever!! Comes with tons of extra stuff and a sick book. Also a beautiful 2LP live show exclusive to this set only. They really upped the quality starting with this one. Their first 2 sets they released for Kill em All & Lightning didn’t have as much extra stuff as the other sets and the look was more generic. The puppets set gave the cds and DVDs color digi packs. The Justice and Black Album box sets even look bigger and nicer!!
It would be fantastic if Bon Jovi would release deluxe box sets for both Slippery When Wet and Keep The Faith, so much material available for both albums/tours, etc. Merry Christmas Brendon, thanks for your videos in 2022.
I don't have very many, I have a hard time parting with my limited resources. I'd like more, I admit.

As a CD buyer, I am not a big fan of the LP/CD combo box sets. There really should be a CD-only version made available. I hate paying extra for an LP that I don't want.
I was about to post the same exact thing. That LP just jacks up the price of a box like this.
Another great video Brendon. It does remind me of two frustrating things however. The regret that I didn’t buy the Doors Waiting for the Sun deluxe edition and the highly irritating decision of the record company to NOT make a deluxe edition of Strange Days, leaving you with a forever hole in the collection wether or not you for out 150/200 US$ on Discogs.
Btw, do you think you may have passed 12000 by now? I recently listened to fellow Norwegians TNT Seven Seas for the first time in 30 years inspired by something you said, I forget what.
