I’ve had a Logitech keyboard cover on my iPad Air 2 for years and the keyboard has never had any issues. Every few months the batter gets low so I just charge it for an hour and it’s good for another few months. Plus the cover is solid, my iPad still looks new.
1- It is 3 months of battery life at 2hrs typing per day. 2- When you stop typing for a few moments, the backlighting on the keyboard goes away. It doesn't seem to have a setting to leave it on the whole time, so in a darkened room, I always have to press a key and then delete (or a space bar) to light it up again. I'd rather be able to choose to leave it on, and charge it more often. 3- If the keyboard isn't flat on a table, and it's on my lap, the torquing makes typing nearly impossible. The "cursor" jumps around.

Have you checked out the Brydge keyboard? It makes the iPad feel like a laptop but still having the great experience of just popping it out and using it like a tablet. With the keyboard you don’t need a surface like a table to type. A true couch typing experience!
It’s a good product. Good protection, but the trade-off is significant (IMO) bulk. Still I use it, since I destroyed my prior iPad Pro 10.5 when it ejected itself out of the Apple “Smart” Keyboard.
ZaidTheBoss Well, I was overstating it a bit, but I was trying to fold the cover back into the “protective mode”, and the magnet let loose. The magnet is the only way that the keyboard is secured to the iPad. The unexpected change in tension caused the iPad to flip out of my hand from about 4 feet over concrete. It came down at an angle on the screen side, and bounced around every corner. Screen damaged beyond repair. Chunks of glass actually came out around the bezel. Was probably the worst-case drop. The “hilarous” thing is I had literally *just returned* an 11” Pro earlier that same afternoon because I didn’t feel like it was enough of a benefit over the 10.5” Pro. Really “hilarious” 😭. So, right back to Best Buy, and bought another 11” and also the Logitech Keyboard due to the corner protection and lack of a dependency on magnetic attachment. But it *is* super bulky. I’m getting used to it.
ZaidTheBoss I lived with the Smart Keyboard on the 10.5” for well over a year, and had a love-hate relationship with it. I’m generally pretty careful, so its minimal protection was OK. However, it disconnected (in the typing with no response sense) often, *every* time I used it, and I’d have to pull the iPad off and put it back on, every time. When I got the first 11” iPad, I went for the Apple Smart Keyboard and it was working well. It’s more protective than the one for the 10.5” because it covers the back. The folding mechanism is a bit better, and the magnetic attachment is a bit different. However, while it would be more protective than the 10.5 version, I fear it wouldn’t be super-protective in a significant drop. Basically, it’s all about your risk-averseness, and whether you’re “accident prone” with such devices. I had a Logitech keyboard case with my iPad Air 2, and really missed its design when I upgraded to the 10.5 (they went to a goofy design for the 10.5). Thus I switched to the Apple model as mentioned above. I’m very happy Logitech is back to a similar design as with the Air (though admittedly heavier), and I feel like the Logitech is the most protective keyboard case available at the moment for the 11”, but of course I haven’t tested them all. The keyboard feel is very good (though I was used to the Apple feel), with a lot of travel by comparison, and the backlighting is super-handy. Only bummers are bulk and having to separately charge the keyboard, but those are fairly minor, IMO. Zero connectivity problems thus far. Has been flawless.

Reagan Dow there are also many things Samsung, Google, Microsoft or Huawei should‘ve done, compared to Apple they have so much more possibilities but they waste their time by developing irrelevant things, in my eyes a surface is useless, Windows 10 isn’t made to work on a smart device, a samsung galaxy tab is useless because android isn’t made to work on a bigger screen than a smartphone, Google creating good devices but they waste their time by using Android they should create an own operating system that can compete with Android and iOS, they have the ressources to do it and Huawei is creating amazing smartphones that are better than their competitors but they waste their time by just creating devices, they should do something to be unique and in some kind special compared to all their competitors, Huawei has no identity in my eyes.

I went a bough this folio for my iPad Pro 12.9 all because of this review. It’s amazing I love it its so much better then the apple the keyboard and I love that the pencil doesn’t just pop off anymore in my purse and the keys feel amazing. Thanks for the amazing review
@@willcraske6585 The only issue I've had is with the play and pause buttons not automatically assigning to whatever app is open instead of the default music app. That being said, I haven't taken any time to look into if that is changeable through the settings so it's likely user error on my side. They do a great job at syncing it with all the iOS features I tend to use.
This must be the second version of the folio pro because mine looks different but works great. It doesn’t need a charge because it gets power from the iPad Pro. It lasts about 5 hours with a fully charged IPad. The new one looks great and looks like it lasts longer because it has its own battery. Very nice update.
I actually have this Logitech keyboard for the 2nd gen iPad Pro and its such a game changer. A little heavier, but manageable. I don’t think if I were to have the 3rd gen iPad Pro I would go for this case solely because of the Bluetooth and difficulty of taking it out. The 2nd gen uses the smart connector and can be detached where you still have an adjustable stand. This just doesn’t do it for me.
Actually creating an algorithm is not that hard, even if you know basic C programming you can make an algorithm better than TH-cam's algorithm. (well maybe not that better) but the thing is you just need lots of time and patience. and i know you will say something like "well i know that you only know how to program arduino blink or something" but i am in the Unreal Engine's Development team so i am creating lots and lots of algorithm's for the say like gravity function, Mesh Collision etc Algorithm's. As i said, Creating an algorithm is not hard, but it can take from one line of code to thousands of lines of code. You just need some basic knowledge and patience.
Ive been using a Logitech keyboard case since the iPad Pro 12.9 came out. I love how the iPad powers the keyboard instead of having to charge the keyboard.
I like the Logitech keyboard, but I have one concern with it: the weight. I carry my iPad Pro around everywhere I go (at school) and the apple keyboard case is very light. I genuinely have gotten used to the apple keyboard when writing papers, essays, etc. Could it be better? Yeah, sure. But if I really wanted a good typing experience I would just use my laptop. Its not so much about the keyboard experience for me, its about the convenience. The convenience of being able to carry the iPad around without it being a hassle and still get functionality out of the keyboard is a win for me. Not saying the apple keyboard case is better, just giving a point of view to consider..
I have this keyboard case for my 12.9" Pro and absolutely love it - it really makes the iPad Pro a better tool in most instances than my touch bar 13" MacBook.
The “Brydge Keyboard” is what apple should have made. It literally turns your iPad into a MacBook. Everyone at my school always asks me where I got it and they all end up purchasing it. The iPad folds open and closes the exact way a MacBook does. You can even have it open 180 degrees. Review it.
Game changer. I actually had an iPad Pro that I returned because of how weary I was about it Folding/sliding out and smashing. If this had released earlier, I'd probably still have that iPad.
Hi man, I found on youtube a keyboard that might be a contender for this one, it is called BRYDGE PRO you might probably heard from it... and as it is in a similar price range maybe worth the shot there... Big hugs from Chilean Patagonia
I can attest to the Brydge Pro. Feels more like a macbook keyboard than ANYTHING else out there. If your looking for an even better keyboard, check the Brydge out.
Is there a tablet mode only without taking the whole thing out of the case? I mean are there magnets holding in place everything while it's in tablet mode?
I spent $60 on a proper clamshell case design with a 360 swivel to turn my iPad Pro into a tablet stand for drawing. The keyboard isn't as solid with smaller buttons and an odd place for the screen lock button but all in all it's the best alternative case I could find and for the price it was a no brainer.
Logitech made a similar folio / keyboard for the original 9.7" iPad Pro that didn't need a battery because it connected to the native three-buttons on the side of the iPad. Same very tactile lit keyboard. Looks like they couldn't figure out a neat way to use that new connector on the back of the iPad, so they went with a battery. I've been putting off getting the latest Pro model awaiting this keyboard from Logitech, but I'm disappointed that they went with a battery -powered device.
About time I been on their site bugging them for this since the new iPad released.. been so unhappy with my current cheap cover it all the same as the Logitech and costs only like 40$ off Amazon BUT.. BUT it has a kickstand which I hate, you move the unit and flop it falls down. Thank You LOGITECH. THANK YOU!!!
I bought my Slim Pro Keyboard because I wanted the extra protection since I kept hearing that the new iPad Pro is very easily bent. Plus I love the Logitech keyboard that I had purchased for my iPad 4. I had no idea that this keyboard is so popular.
I don’t hate the iPad pro’s folio keyboard the way Lou does (I actually enjoy typing on the ultra-thin keyboard), but I would love something backlit with the Apple specific keys. Reason enough to upgrade? Not really. Do I wish that I had waited 5 months? Nope. Should I have gone with a cheap Bluetooth keyboard until the Logitech case came out? Probably.
I'm old enough to remember how wireless devices were bad for years. At the beginning I had mouse which drained 3 AA batteries in a couple of hours, I also had keyboard which was lagging a lot, almost impossible to use, also very thirsty... I hated and avoided everything wireless for years. Now I realized that my cheap Logitech K360 keyboard was working for more than two years with 2 AA batteries and it still works, since I bought it I never had to replace batteries.
I want a phone with - Samsung’s Display iPhone’s Build Quality Google Pixel’s Camera and Software Huawei’s Battery and Camera Hardwire One plus’s Performance LG’s Audioport And Yeah Xiaomi’s Price 🔥🔥🔥
Thought this was a good product too. People have been having connection and key problems. Mine has just conked out after 6 months. All the time before that it was pretty much a perfect keyboard
I had the Logitech slim folio for my last iPad Pro and I wouldn’t go without it. When I got my new iPad Pro last November I immediately started looking for a slim folio for the new one. When I couldn’t find a replacement I called Logitech and was told they were working on it. Fast forward to April of this year and they finally announced a model to fit the new iPad Pro. I ordered one directly from Logitech on their website. When it didn’t ship right away I contacted them to find out why. They said they were out of stock and waiting for more to come in. They went on to say that they had to fill all the apple orders to their stores before they could ship to anyone who ordered from the website. Thinking that was stupid for Logitech to put off orders to previous customers and could not even give an approximate date I could expect to receive it I cancelled the order. I went to the Apple store that day and they already had one in stock so I got it. I really like the slim folio very much. The only thing I would say is do not buy anything from the Logitech site anymore. Their customer service is terrible.

I went a bough this folio for my iPad Pro 12.9 all because of this review. It’s amazing I love it its so much better then the apple the keyboard and I love that the pencil doesn’t just pop off anymore in my purse and the keys feel amazing. Thanks for the amazing review
Please look at the brydge pro
Will Craske looks like a very interesting product
I have the Brydge Pro on the 12.9 2nd gen and LOVE IT. A little heavy but it turns the iPad into a 13" touchscreen macbook. Lovin it!
james wikan do you ever have issues with the restrictions of iOS?
@@willcraske6585 The only issue I've had is with the play and pause buttons not automatically assigning to whatever app is open instead of the default music app. That being said, I haven't taken any time to look into if that is changeable through the settings so it's likely user error on my side. They do a great job at syncing it with all the iOS features I tend to use.
I have the Logitech slim combo case for my 10.5 inch iPad Pro and I love it. It’s the only case I ever bought
Apple’s keyboard: “It’s like typing on a 2x4”
This must be the second version of the folio pro because mine looks different but works great. It doesn’t need a charge because it gets power from the iPad Pro. It lasts about 5 hours with a fully charged IPad. The new one looks great and looks like it lasts longer because it has its own battery. Very nice update.
3:53 "you could start to make the CASE" 😂
I actually have this Logitech keyboard for the 2nd gen iPad Pro and its such a game changer. A little heavier, but manageable. I don’t think if I were to have the 3rd gen iPad Pro I would go for this case solely because of the Bluetooth and difficulty of taking it out. The 2nd gen uses the smart connector and can be detached where you still have an adjustable stand. This just doesn’t do it for me.

Go create your own algorithms.
Actually
creating an algorithm is not that hard,
even if you know basic C programming you can make an algorithm better than TH-cam's algorithm. (well maybe not that better) but the thing is you just need lots of time and patience.
and i know you will say something like "well i know that you only know how to program arduino blink or something"
but i am in the Unreal Engine's Development team so i am creating lots and lots of algorithm's for the say like gravity
function, Mesh Collision etc Algorithm's.
Lew:
You didn't fold it up backwards to use it like a tablet ..... does it do that ???
No it doesn't that's why I skipped this one and got the original. PS I tried the one in the video it cannot be used as a tablet.
@@cooper3795
Thanks for the info 👍
If you look at the back of the box it does appear to allow it to be used like a tablet folded up
Yes. You can fold it up backward.
Yes you can. I have this one. Just fold it BACKWARDS nothing restricting it
I like the Logitech keyboard, but I have one concern with it: the weight.
“They both look a lot like me” 👀
I honestly love the apple ipad case. Its slim yet protective and sleek all at the same time
Name Unidentified Yeah definitely not a good case for damage. However i take care of my things and I feel it brings a sophistication to my Ipad. 🤷♂️
Came for the unboxing, stayed for the animal info :)
Dude, i watched so many Videos because i couldn't decide, but your video helped me to get the Logitech one! Thank you!
Well, they're going to sell a lot of them now. Especially after this video.
I have this keyboard case for my 12.9" Pro and absolutely love it - it really makes the iPad Pro a better tool in most instances than my touch bar 13" MacBook.
josh fausti can I have a link for this but 11 inch
The “Brydge Keyboard” is what apple should have made. It literally turns your iPad into a MacBook. Everyone at my school always asks me where I got it and they all end up purchasing it. The iPad folds open and closes the exact way a MacBook does. You can even have it open 180 degrees. Review it.
Agreed
Hows your brydge keyboard now?
Luqman S well I bought a real MacBook. 😅 that being said, the keyboard was great for a long time. I outgrew it’s purpose though
Try the Brydge Keyboard
does not exist for the new iPad Pro yet

Game changer. I actually had an iPad Pro that I returned because of how weary I was about it Folding/sliding out and smashing.
If this had released earlier, I'd probably still have that iPad.
...oh and loosing that stupid pen.
Bought the keyboard yesterday and it is way better then apples. In canada at bestbuy it was only $149.
Logitech makes our school ipad cases + keyboards 😂
Is there a tablet mode only without taking the whole thing out of the case? I mean are there magnets holding in place everything while it's in tablet mode?

I spent $60 on a proper clamshell case design with a 360 swivel to turn my iPad Pro into a tablet stand for drawing. The keyboard isn't as solid with smaller buttons and an odd place for the screen lock button but all in all it's the best alternative case I could find and for the price it was a no brainer.
Which case did you buy? I’m considering getting the 11 inch for art
"I don't need that paper work"
Cartoons be like: "ALRIGHT GIMMIE THAT PAPER WORK
Logitech made a similar folio / keyboard for the original 9.7" iPad Pro that didn't need a battery because it connected to the native three-buttons on the side of the iPad.
Lew's glasses make me feel like I'm watching a video uploaded years ago.
Very nostalgic
Typing sound is sssooo satisfying!!!!
Challenge: use it as your laptop for the full 3 month charge of the keyboard.
How often do you take the cover/keypad off the device? I would think you wouldn't.

Reivalryne I didn’t get the reference, can you clue me in?
About time I been on their site bugging them for this since the new iPad released.. been so unhappy with my current cheap cover it all the same as the Logitech and costs only like 40$ off Amazon BUT.. BUT it has a kickstand which I hate, you move the unit and flop it falls down. Thank You LOGITECH. THANK YOU!!!
I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO BUY THEM I WILL GET SATSFIED BY YOUR REVIVES
I Allways get *SATSFIED*
But do you own an iPad Pro?
@@Accidentalreef what a coincidence. Even I get SATSFIED
NonyaBusiness! Sorry spelling mistake...😅
Wow, Unbox Therapy is finally unboxing something!
I would just get a normal case with a bluetooth keyboard
I bought my Slim Pro Keyboard because I wanted the extra protection since I kept hearing that the new iPad Pro is very easily bent. Plus I love the Logitech keyboard that I had purchased for my iPad 4. I had no idea that this keyboard is so popular.
Logitech= Less price + High quality.
Leaves a white stain on ur iPad bad move
I don’t hate the iPad pro’s folio keyboard the way Lou does (I actually enjoy typing on the ultra-thin keyboard), but I would love something backlit with the Apple specific keys. Reason enough to upgrade? Not really. Do I wish that I had waited 5 months? Nope. Should I have gone with a cheap Bluetooth keyboard until the Logitech case came out? Probably.
You can a game? On this keyboard
I own an ipad pro 2018 and i actually love the apple keyboard
I'm old enough to remember how wireless devices were bad for years. At the beginning I had mouse which drained 3 AA batteries in a couple of hours, I also had keyboard which was lagging a lot, almost impossible to use, also very thirsty... I hated and avoided everything wireless for years.
Now I realized that my cheap Logitech K360 keyboard was working for more than two years with 2 AA batteries and it still works, since I bought it I never had to replace batteries.
I want a phone with -

LG’s Audioport
And Yeah Xiaomi’s Price 🔥🔥🔥
You forgot Sony's audio and dynamic vibration system
Google software and Huawei camera

Thought this was a good product too. People have been having connection and key problems. Mine has just conked out after 6 months. All the time before that it was pretty much a perfect keyboard

Just received this case yesterday for my iPad and with also a wireless mouse , this definitely replaces my laptop .
What about the Brydge keyboard for the IPAD pro
Weren't you quitting apple laptops???
Oh wait it's an iPad ...... Boy that's clever 👌
It is not laptop yaaa i mean it has a screen like a laptop ,keyboard like laptop and same working principle and almost same OS so what !!but it is not a laptop
Logitech makes great stuff in general. Their keyboards are amazing with the romer-g switches, their mice, steering wheels. All super great.
Very successful product but very expensive 💸
We all know that you can't afford to get one. No worries some rich guy like me will gift you one day
