Another killer outing from NWH! I love picking up Psychsploitation LPs! I did a video of mine not too awful long ago. But man you showed several I’ve not laid hands on yet! I really want a copy of that Hell Preachers and that Freak Out-Blow Your Mind! I know where there a copy of Freak Out but I just need to get back to the shop to pick it up! That album you were playing at the get go sounded pretty rad! What was it? Rainy Day Saints? I’ve seen it around and just blew by it so I will def check that one out! I’ve also seen Lotus Palace around too but didn’t know what it was I do dig some good Sitar stuff! Killer content as always Michael! Peace ✌️👽
Hey Michael, I have The Deep three LP deluxe stereo edition on Lion. Nice informative liner notes with that. The Deep album was issued in Oct. 1966. The band is comprised of friends and session players. David Bromberg does play on the album. Also, it's the first Rock LP to have the word Psychedelic in it's title, beating out Psychedelic Sounds of The 13th Floor Elevators and Blues Magoo's Psychedelic Lollipop by one month. 🚬 🍌 🍄
I didn't know about the 3 LP set of Psychedelic Moods, I know the second volume is available, but never seen the third volume. Cool facts about them being the first to use the term, I thought it would be the Elevators too. Thanks for the info, Ron.🙃
Hi Ian, I've had that Golden Earring LP for a while, found it about a year and a half ago, their version of Eight Miles High is fantastic! Thanks for tuning in and take care.
A great selection to check out on this saturday afternoon . Love that Fire Escape album , it's nothing but covers but i love it . Gonna checkout that '' Bokaj Retsiem ,, album too Thanks and enjoy the weekend
Yeah, that Fire Escape LP is cool, familiar, yet different. Psychedelic Underground by Bokaj Retsiem, is a real trip! Thanks for tuning in and take care.
Cool Exploitation albums, I have a bunch of these. Years ago, i was going for all the Jerry Cole albums, including his surf records, I have a bunch of them. I love the exploitation records, killer sounds on those! I have that Hell Preachers but don't know of the other related album you showed, I will have to look into that. Thanks for the showings! Always fun watching your videos! Have a good weekend.
Hi Randy, The Lps I showed were pretty much all the exploitation albums I have, I would like to get a few others, but they're not like top priority on my want list. There's one by the Firebirds I'd like to find, I think it's titled Light My Fire. The Hell Preachers related album, Bokaj Retsiem, is really good and worth checking out. Thanks for tuning in Randy, glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Michael, I've never heard of your records shown, except for the last two that are in my collection. I don't know where I picked up that Golden Earring record, but bought the Zodiac album in a cut out bin in the early seventies. Thanks for sharing, have a good weekend.
Hi Ralph, That Zodiac album is a trip! I found mine a few years ago in a record store dollar bin. Golden Earring's version of Eight Miles High is awesome. Thanks for tuning in Ralph and have a good weekend too.
Very cool to hear from you Dimebag Dave! A Trip Down Sunset Strip is a cool album, familiar songs done slightly different than the originals. Thanks as always for tuning in and take care.
Hello Michael, nice openingstrack! I will look for that album! All those "fake" albums let me thinlk on EMI who took the Sex Pistols in first, only thinking on the big money they could take with The Pistols, but then they saw The Sex Pistols were too rebellious. The Golden Earring a really excellent band from the Netherlands! I will look for that record! Cause I adore debut albums! I am doing well, I just made a new video of records on my top shelf! Have a good weekend and a good new week my friend! Greetings Jason
Hi Jason, The opening song was by the Rainy Day Saints, a band from my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. You might have a hard time finding their album in Belgium, they weren't a big well known band. Yes, the Sex Pistols went through EMI, then A&M, then finally on to Virgin Records and Warners in the U.S. Golden Earrings first album is excellent and very much worth having in your collection. I will check out your video in the next few days. Thanks for your comments Jason, I always appreciate them.
@nearwildheaven4840 Yeah I will search that record via the internet of the Rainy Day Saints. Yeah you will like my "shelf"video. Have a good week.greetings Jason
Hello Michael, I’ve never seen That Projection Company album. I just sent an SASE to get The Freakout Party kit. Never seen a lot of these albums. St John Green is on my wantlist it’s a funny album. A Jerry Cole boxset would be appropriate. Was there 2 Bands called The Smoke? I love that Taylor Swift album. Lotus Palace is great. Have a great weekend.
A Jerry Cole boxset would be awesome! Yes, there are 2 bands called The Smoke, one is a British band from the 60s, who had a minor hit with My Friend Jack. Then there's the one from the US, I think it's an exploitation LP, that Kim Fowley and Michael Lloyd put together, also from the 60s. T. Swift is great! The Lotus Palace I first saw you show it a while back and inspired me to seek it out, great album. Thanks for tuning in Dave, peace and over and out.
I see the Bevis Frond behind you Michael! I use to have that St John’s Green, found a OG for a great price. Psychedelic Exploitation! That’s pretty funny but everyone wanted to cash in on a phase. Put on some cool art work and watch it sell lol. Most of these I have never seen.
Hi Steve, love the Bevis Frond, Nick Solomon is a psychedelic genius! I think the psych exploitation LPs were seen as cash ins at the time of release, but now they're very collectible and fun to listen to. Thanks for tuning in and have a great week.
Antacid? Ok let me get another Rolaids. Projection Co. Never have seen that before. Leather Coated Minds! I had an OG South American copy of that in the 80s. It was cheezy, but a few tracks were fun. VIVA was Leon Russell's label. I remember reading that St. John Green was a real band, not sure about The Fire Escape. I have that Taylor Swift & The Electric Bag, cool Are You Experienced cover on that. I don't consider The Deep exploitation. That album is ground breaking. Not counting 5D by the Byrds, It's the first full blown psych album. I did a bunch of research on that LP years ago. I used to think the Elevators- Psychedelic Sounds of...was the first. Great exploitation shown. Later 👍
Hi Ron, the Projection Co. LP has 2 cover songs, Gimme Some Lovin' and Don't Think Twice, but they don't list writing credits. Cool fact about the Viva label and Leon Russell, you probably know this, but the owner of International Artists label, Leland Rogers, is the brother of Kenny Rogers, if he wrote it, I wonder if Kenny got the idea for Just Dropped In from listening to the 13th Floor Elevators? There's a second volume of Psychedelic Moods with various artists, haven't heard it, but looks cool. I always thought the Elevators was the first psych band too. I guess we were wrong! Thanks for your comments Ron, always with the cool trivia facts! Later Man........
After I made the video, I remembered, it was titled Plantasmagoria, and you're right, it was supposed to help your plants grow. Thanks for tuning in and take care.
Freak Out Party is a cool album. I never seen Supreme Psychedelic Underground. Psychotic Reaction is another good album. It is rumored that Sky Saxon is on it. I listened to that Zodiac album once. If I remember right the spoken word parts turned me off.

G’day Michael , some great and unusual albums there . Plenty to check out . Thanks for posting 😎👌
Thanks for tuning in Craig, always appreciate your comments.🙃✌
Hi Michael loads of stuff for me to investigate! I sense a Golden Earing collection being increased! 👍Great stuff as always!
Hi Ian, I've had that Golden Earring LP for a while, found it about a year and a half ago, their version of Eight Miles High is fantastic! Thanks for tuning in and take care.

Very cool to see you Near Wild Heaven ✌️. Edit: going to check out the Trip down the Strip👍🤘
Very cool to hear from you Dimebag Dave! A Trip Down Sunset Strip is a cool album, familiar songs done slightly different than the originals. Thanks as always for tuning in and take care.

Who knew Taylor Swift did an album with Jimi Hendrix.

I was going to ask you about the guitars a Go-Go and then you whip it out how did I know!
It's called Vinyl Community Telepathy! Happens all the time!

I might know that album you referred to about the plants... Is it supposed to help your plants grow!
It's possible that Sky is on that Fire Escape LP, it's on the GNP Crescendo label, home of the Seeds. Thanks for tuning in Richie, take care.
