The Radio Birdman boot was a cool find, and it sounds awesome too. You may have trouble finding that Stones boot, but there are a lot of boots of other shows they did in Australia. Thanks for tuning in Craig and Cheers to you as well!

Hi, yes, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac was the best line up of that band. Beatle boots are always cool to find, not the kind you wear, the kind you listen to! The Pink Floyd boot sounds amazing, one of the best sounding boots I've ever heard. Thanks so much for tuning in.

Hi Michael first Happy new year! What a great idea I have collected quite a few bootlegs over the years! Quality varies! A lot have been officially released! Nowadays the dreaded Radio recordings cds seems to be how to get bootlegs nowadays!
    👍

Hi Ian, Happy New Year to you too. I know you take a chance when buying boots, I've been burned several times over the years. Probably the worst was a Velvet Underground bootleg that was mastered at the wrong speed, sounded like The Chipmunks on speed! Thanks for tuning in Ian, hope your new year is going well!

I love William Stout's artwork. I knew he did a Who bootleg, but I hadn't seen the Yardbirds one you showed.

Hi Jackson, Yes, William Stout is a fantastic artist, I have the Who bootleg you mentioned, I also have a Rolling Stones boot that has artwork by WS. Thank you for tuning in!

Nice collection of bootlegs. It has gotten so much easier to get bootlegs now. In the 80s I would go to record shows and the biggest score was to find a bootleg. I lost a lot of my old bootlegs from Zepplin and Floyd which was disappointing. There are so many boots on Cramps albums.

    • @nearwildheaven4840
      @nearwildheaven4840  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

Hi Steve, the thing about the newer bootlegs is you take a chance on the sound quality, I've bought a few that claimed they were recorded from an FM broadcast, but actually a bad sounding audience recording. But I've also bought some that have excellent sound. But I guess that was also true of the older boots. Yes, there are literally hundreds of Cramps bootlegs. Thanks for tuning in Steve.

You had this great idea my friend ! Bootlegs! That Led Zeppelin record I bought it some weeks ago in my local supermarket who do each year a vinyl sell in december; all from that brand that put out radio recordings. Very nice Cramps, Yardbirds and Pink Floyd bootlegs! The Yardbirds with Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck. Last year I bought a compilation of them on a record fair for 2 Dollars. Also that Joy Division very nice. I have also a Joy Division bootleg on coloured vinyl. Have a great weekend! Tomorrow Sunday I will do a new vinyl video. greetings Jason

Hi Jason, very cool that your local supermarket sells records! That's a good deal, a Yardbirds compilation for 2 dollars. The label that put out the Led Zeppelin bootleg I showed is named Cult Legends, and everything I've heard from them sounds great, I have a Black Sabbath boot from that label that sounds fantastic. Thanks for tuning in Jason hope you had a nice weekend.

@nearwildheaven4840 Yeah they had that Black Sabbath album but I came too late for it. I picked what was left. Led Zeppelin was the best choice.

Hey Michael! Cool boots! That Radio Birdman sounds interesting and Nirvana also
I’m wary about buying them cause the sound quality can be terrible and the prices are high however some are great 🔥Love a good live performance !
    Take care Brian ☮️

Hi Brian, if I see a bootleg I think I might want, I look for it on TH-cam to check out the sound quality. I found the Radio Birdman at a record show back in the 90s, it has some great performances on it. Thanks for tuning in.

Hello Michael, Great idea for a video. I'm a sucker for live recordings, so boots are on my shelves. I have 300+ Stones bootlegs, but I don't have the one that you showed! Some say there's close to 600 Rolling Stones bootlegs out there. Have a good weekend, thanks.

That's cool that you got a lot of Stones boots, I have about 4 on vinyl and about 6 on CD. The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin both have a ton of bootlegs, I have a book titled Hot Wacks, which is a bootleg guide, listing the quality of each recording, the section for Led Zeppelin is 200 pages long! Thanks for tuning in Ralph, take care.

Nice show Michael, most of those boots I’ve never seen. I have 2 Stones boots, one is a live France show from 66 and the other is outtakes from the C@cksucker Blues movie that never was released. My favorite is Led Zeppelin’s Destroyer from 77 in Ohio. I have lots of Nirvana but they are all on CD. Happy New Year

Hey Dave, I used to have the Led Zep Destroyer boot, but I sold it years ago when I was hard up for money. I'd like to hear that CS Blues boot. I have a lot of Nirvana on vinyl and CD. Thanks for tuning in Dave.

Lots of cool records here. The two I would really like to hear are the R.E.M. and the Opal records; seems like both of them are chockfull of songs I haven't heard before. Thanks for showing the records!

Hi Randy, The R.E.M. and Opal LPs are actually my favorites of the bunch, especially the R.E.M. album, which has very early songs that they never recorded for any of their albums. Thanks for tuning in and take care.

Starting 2025 off with a BANG 💥Interesting selection of boots. The only one I have is the Elevators. At one time, I had that Nirvana boot. I do have the VHS Bilnd Pig video still. I'm familiar with the '67 Byrds in Stockholm set. I think I have that on an old cassette tape. That's a good boot to have. The bootleg has come a long way since 1970. I like the charm of the older boots. They just have this cool vibe... Vinyl from the music industries under belly ☠

Hi Ron, I've always liked boots, hearing performances you can't get anywhere else was always a thrill. That Elevators boot sounds pretty good for a1966 recording. I would like to see the Blind Pig video, I'm sure there's a version of that on YT. I found the Byrds boot at a record show about 35 years ago. In the 90s, I got a lot of boots on CD, live Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, REM, and lots more, I probably have more boots on CD than on vinyl. But you're right, the Trade Mark of Quality, and The Amazing Kornyphone Record Label, or TAKRL, had a certain charm about them. I remember ordering boots from advertisements in the back pages of Trouser Press and Creem magazines. Thanks for tuning in Ron, always look forward to reading your comments.

Hey Michael! Nice Bootlegs collection! I don’t think I own a single boot Wait, maybe one It’s Alice In Chains live in LA maybe? I can’t remember I just remember Layne Staley performing in a foot cast as he had broken his foot prior to the show. I’m not really a live album guy so boots have never appealed to me. Although I do have some unofficial studio releases of some psych albums. In fact I just scored one that will show up in today’s video.
Great video Michael Who knows maybe I’ll start picking up some boots I see em around a lot! Peace Brother! ✌️👽

Hey Brian, I sent you a Black Sabbath boot about a year ago, so you have at least two! That's weird that you mentioned Layne Staley in a foot cast, I saw Nazareth back in the 70s and Dan McCafferty was on a stool with a cast on his foot! He was drugged up on painkillers, and the show wasn't very good. If it wasn't for unofficial releases, I wouldn't have half the records I have. Thanks for tuning in and talk to you soon.

I have the official release of the Royal Albert Hall concert. I think the acoustic set is better than the electric set. And I prefer his electric albums. It turns out the Dylan album was actually recorded in Manchester. The Yardbirds and Beatles bootlegs look cool. I’d like to hear that REM. I have a DVD of the Patti Smith show.

    • @nearwildheaven4840

Hi Richie, I have that official Dylan release too, and yeah, the acoustic set is great. I forgot to mention the fact about Manchester, but everybody knows about it, so no great loss. You might be able to find the REM boot on TH-cam. Cool you got Patti Smith on DVD, I've seen it on TH-cam. Thanks for tuning in.

Bob Dylan "Judas " show is from free trade hall Manchester UK may 1966. Your record is labeled incorrectly. Mickey Jones Dylan's drummer does a nice documentary on the tour on TH-cam.

I was aware of the fact that the show was actually at Lesser Free Trade Hall, I just forgot to mention it. I've seen that doc you mentioned, it was very good. Mickey Jones was also on the Home Improvement sitcom in the 90s. Thanks for your comment.
