    Those dominant ranges are in the frequency range if your desk. If the board were isolated from your desk, you would find that dominant range much higher. Somewhere in the several hundreds

    this has to be one of the best and most objective breakdowns of a switch i have seen!
    i would suggest to include the respective values or value ranges within the comparison charts to further improve objectivity and maybe even allow for broader comparisons to other linear switches or future testings. as i already said though: phenomenal breakdown!

    Fantastic as usual.
    I love my Aqua Kings, but these North Poles are an awesome alternative. Also, being full 4 mm travel is a breath of fresh air amongst all the short travel, long pole switches coming out these days.
    All of these part Ink offerings from Gateron is a boon for us.

    For anyone watching, the north poles have a 2.0/v2 version with a little yellow silicone ring at the bottom. Basically turning these into semi silent switches with a softer bottom out than normal.

      @@TheChrisDecember not sure but the inks are a solid choice. The north pole not only sounds quiet but also can hear soft rubber sound thats not appealing in my opinion.

      Same here, they all seem incredibly similar, though the Ice Candy has an UHMWPE stem option along with the transparent stem

    @keybored Seeing North Pole V2 - with a silicone dampener at the base along with some venting holes - wondering if you had taken a look at the new version - and if the dampener contacts the stem - affecting the feel (mushy) of the switch. Thank you for the videos BTW - your scientific approach to testing is really appreciated vs. subjective "feel"

    Wow sounds quite similar to the Ink Black, and fairly clacky. The stem wobble is impressive. I do think they're worth considering for sure.

    Need those sound tests while looking for the newest tactiles with deepest sound. Dooms, Sapphires, Coffee Chip(Your last deep sound winner), Turbulence, S2 V2 Snow, Baby Kangaroos, Akko V3 Cream Blue, Dark Warriors. Anubis is supposed to being released again.

    Have you tried the Tecsee Ice Candy switches? They are long pole linears that are also clear.

    I actually bought these switches for my gmmk pro 2. Sounds pretty good imo after I lubed the switches. Also they don't sound as clacky like they do in the video.

      The switches make the sound.. but everything it’s attached to and surrounded by drastically changes the pitch, tone, and volume. That includes your keyboard/mouse pad and even desk size and material.

    These are all great switches, I honestly don't think 99pct of people would be unhappy with any of these if they are looking for a linear switch.

    There's a red (dustproof), silver (dustproof) and a yellow (in video) north pole switch!
    I got the red north pole and I absolutely loved it, but I would want the silver ones but they're all sold out everywhere :(

    I compared Gateron Clears to Aqua Kings, though it was a personal comparison rather than something data-based. Great, light switch lubed and filmed (and affordable!)

    I've had gat CJs, Oil kings, Milky Pros, all have a mix of different stem notches in the same batch. Some stem cuts North + West and some North + East.
    Gat Ink V2 (new mould) also seem to use the modern Gat stems with two notches

    They made switches with one part of the housings made of ink material now they made a switch with an ink material stem. The only thing missing is a switch made entirely of ink material. I'm curious on what will it sound like.

    I wonder if you can review the Kailh Clione Limacinam switches? Both the tactile and linear variant. They are also crystal switches like Aqua King or North Pole for that maximum RGB goodness.
