YES ITS TIME TO UPDATE! Maybe not a s24, but wait until spring to see if the s23 go down in price. Otherwise get the s21. However you can still used the note 9 as a spare gaming phone to save battery on your main phone.

Nobody should be hanging onto older phones like the 9 unless they only use it for calling, texting, music player, watching videos or doing anything that doesn't link their information to the phone. Can't even do that if you're using the android phone unless you're using a bs gmail that serve no other purpose. A reasonably priced phone that's not too old is now important because of everything we do online. The older your device is the less secure it will be. I'd still stay away from the 24 if money can go to something more important because even though I could get one, I'm among those who prefer to stay two generations or 3 behind because after the note 10 there was no point in getting the latest anymore.
@@MrLanternland don't know from personal experience she even though I'm skeptical because companies warn us just to scare us into buying their newer devices, a phone with no security updates has to be more vulnerable than one that receives it. Then again, this is where I think that a phone that received a security update should be good for a while before it's just a brick. Typically when the phones is too old to be of any use it no longer access apps so you know that you're behind. You'll see that apps often ask you to update when they've worked out a bug or added features+security. I truly believe that once your phone refuses to do that it's time to move on, but we long as it does everything and gets security updates (which most of us don't always pay attention to) because most of us don't think we have much to worry about being hacked for) it's fine to me. That's probably why various apps also have their own security added just in case, banking apps for example.
The lack of security updates should really be the one reason for an upgrade. If my Note20 Ultra still gets update past 2025, I will continue using it. Unfortunately, I don't see Samsung supporting it past 2024/2025. 😔. I Gave up my Note9 when security updates ended. Did the same thing with my Note 4, 2 and original Note. We all know what happened to the Note 7, so I didn't have to keep it that long.
When I bought my Galaxy note 9 512/8, I thought a few years later I would buy a phone of at least 2 terabites, and Rams must have exceeded 32 GB 😂 but now after 5 years I buying S24 Ultra which is the king of android with same capacity of 512gb and only 12GB of ram. This quick comparison will show how Note 9 was and still is great!!! I still have and it does work well but the basty game of receiving updates was the reason yo change, otherwise, no need to change the lovely Note 9 at all ❤
Man I still have the note 9 . When I dropped it and cracked the screen I was so sad. So at the time that happened I was forced to upgrade to the s22U. Now I traded that in for an unlocked s24U. The note 9 and the s24U are the best androids I've ever owned.

Finally upgraded my Note 9 cuz the s-pen broke and screen cracked last month. Found a great deal $757 for a new 512gb S24 Ultra (without trade-in) from Samsung shop! I love that we finally have a phone with rectangle screen again! I hate rounded corners. The only thing I'm getting used to is the the weight. It's 30 grams heavier than the Note 9 and I can feel it.
Ive had my note 9 since 2019. I was considering upgrading to the s24 ultra but after seeing the comparison, im losing more than im gaining. I dont play video games but i do stream video and music. Thanks for the info. Ill keep my note 9 for now
I Just dont like notches and punch hole cameras, it's fail design. Waiting for in display camera or return of classic design. Unit than still going strong with note 9 💪😁
the thing i never liked about android in general is the practice of high end phones getting a little bit of updates while at the same time making crappy entry level phones with the latest updates in the future with much worse performance because of specs showing that they could have giving the high end phones more updates. but they gotta sell more phones.

S22 ultra here but man, i miss my Note 9 every Day! Jack, SD card, Iris scanner and back fingerprint, notification Led. Super skinny perfect, beautiful form in my favourite violet color. Unfortunately i drowned it.
I was looking at the S24's today... If theyre only this much better Ill prob just hang onto my Note 9 for a bit longer. I dont really game on it or do anything that would require the camera upgrades. I just take pics to post stuff on FB market place mainly. The cpu seems faster for sure but I can manage being a tad bit slower to save the $$$$. Ill put the money into my 65 Mustang or crypto to get a return on it rather than spending it on a new phone that it looks like I dont really need. Thanks
Is it just me or when I try out the S24 Ultra and Fold 5 camera at the store the lighting and quality looks the same or even worse than my Note 9? Not hating it or anything but they don't feel much of an upgrade.
I think The Note 9 is still a big deal in 2024. Finding a 2018 phone with OIS that shoots 40k@60fps, that's no joke. The difference in the photo quality isn't that significant, if you ask me, and with a post editing, photos from the Note 9 can match up. The note 9 is a really good phone in my opinion.

Im upgrading to s24 ultra from note 9 after getting it for my birthday in october 2019 after the years it became slow and battery life is very bad now + my screen got damaged and leaked a bit after a heavy ass object weighing like 5kg fell on the screen and honestly that's huge props to this phone for surviving falls and bumps over the years so well too bad it's so slow and battery is cooked after the years of use im sure that the jump in performance, features and battery life will be massive
YES ITS TIME TO UPDATE! Maybe not a s24, but wait until spring to see if the s23 go down in price. Otherwise get the s21. However you can still used the note 9 as a spare gaming phone to save battery on your main phone.
Or just get an Poco F6 Pro for gaming at the price of Note 9.
@@WololoWololo2what’s special about that poco phone
@@Edgar876 He said to use it for gaming? Read the goddamn title. That’s what it is for, gaming phone for cheap price with insane specs almost matches the newest flagship, its the best cheapest phone also for everything aswell, its such an beast, can kill your S24 Ultra if you ever bought it, Samsung is such an scam, also Poco F6 Pro uses Snapdragon chipsets so they way way better than Exynos chips from old flagships. Instead of getting old Exynos flagship, he should consider getting Snapdragon Xiaomi / other brands aswell. Exynos truly sucks a lot
@@Edgar876 The device that will come out this year next month
@WololoWololo2 I would like to get the poco 6 phone. However, I meant if you already have the note 9, keep it and get the newer phone, but used the note 9 as a spare phone for games to save the battery on the new phone. But thanks for your comment. I would like to check out the poco 6 phone
Is there a danger doing banking and financial transactions on the Note 9?
@@CR1992.. Knock on wood head but so far I've had no problem with accessing apps or anything with my old Note 9.
WRONG! After the Note 9 there was no point in getting the latest anymore.
I still have and it does work well but the basty game of receiving updates was the reason yo change, otherwise, no need to change the lovely Note 9 at all ❤
I never had and galaxy note phone , i have the samsung galaxy s24 ultra , i upgraded from the s23 ultra.
Thanks for this! I'm still using my Note 9, which I bought way back in 2018, and it still works great. But the S24 Ultra camera is really tempting!
About to order my note 9 today. Love it
Man I still have the note 9 . When I dropped it and cracked the screen I was so sad. So at the time that happened I was forced to upgrade to the s22U. Now I traded that in for an unlocked s24U. The note 9 and the s24U are the best androids I've ever owned.
You could have had the screen repaired. I did when I broke my Note 9 screen.
@@MrLanternland that's the first thing I consulted to do but nope it wasn't worth it. The price was too high .
Does anyone know if phone repairers can polish out the small round bust the busted spot is a small dot like shape than has the crack line? Can someone help!! I don't know what to do yet.
Muy buenas cámaras ambas de día usaría el note 9 y de noche s24U saludos 🤗
To even make the comparison speaks enough about the marvel that is the Note 9
I’ve been watching for a while now I love how the channel has grown I just wish we could see content with 1+ & Nord I for one would like to see more Chinese brands.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is the BEST. I have been using it for almost 4 years & still love it.
It has everything Nice camera, SD Card slot, S Pen, Best resolution display, 6 GB Ram, Good battery life, Excellent built quality, IRIS scanner, Physical Fingerprint sensor, Just the size which fits in my pocket.
This comment made from my NOTE 9
I use galaxy note 9 with noble os rom, it has every latest s24 software feature including all the ai feature and circle to search, camera might also have slightly better post processing, lastly the one ui 6
Thanks
Note 9 was classic like my s10 plus and my s23 ultra
Is it just me or when I try out the S24 Ultra and Fold 5 camera at the store the lighting and quality looks the same or even worse than my Note 9? Not hating it or anything but they don't feel much of an upgrade.
nice broaw, i got a note 9 and will get a s25 ultra wen launch. That cat is Sakamoto without cravate no?
Yea I guess its finally time for an upgrade fr me (using Note 9 since 2018)
Can you do nothing phone 2 vs samsung s24 ultra?
Do S24 vs Pixel 8 vs iPhone 15
Watching on my V50
I think The Note 9 is still a big deal in 2024. Finding a 2018 phone with OIS that shoots 40k@60fps, that's no joke.
The difference in the photo quality isn't that significant, if you ask me, and with a post editing, photos from the Note 9 can match up.
The note 9 is a really good phone in my opinion.
Note 9 was a Legend. Still a Legend in Sammys book
Do pixel 8 vs S24
Please s20 5g 12gb ram vs s24 ultra 12gb ram Please 🙏
Nice upgrade. But the price though 🤔
Note 9 here. I wont upgrade until my phone dies or hits its 10th birthday.
Could you please reply to me? I really need to know this:
Do you have VOLTE feature on the Galaxy Note 9? I don't have it at all!!
Please help me!
Thank you Bro.
so basically if your note aint broke, keep using it.
Just upgraded to Watch7 does not work with Android 10. No upgrade for snapdragon. Might need to upgrade now. Shame, my Note9 is awesome and in mint condition. Can get $300 on upgrade.
Wow the camera on the note 9 looked better
I'm glad I get a free upgrade from t-mobile waiting got my s24 ultra to come by the 19th
I my N9!!!!!
Note 9 is sooo beautiful. If they had just given the software updates. It woupd still be a better phone than s24 ultra
Note 9 here im going to 2025 with this phone its that old Swiss army knife 6 years old still can't smoke it😂 I come from the Nokia brick days😂 its a phone what do you people want although I do appreciate the new greats ones that I will eventually get
You can always consider other brands incase you can’t afford Samsung / Apple
@@WololoWololo2 what if I can afford anyphone I want but get more satisfaction at being sensible with my 💰 technology is great not throwing money away because newtech comes out that is basically useless to what I already have even greater😎
@@cornellmiller2315 Good question. The thing is
They never do that 😂😎
This is why Xiaomi is growing the fastest as only best brand it got lots of fans using their phones for best technology and best possible software. Xiaomi is always consumer friendly company, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra will come out in Global too, this year in March month, giving consumers the best possible value and experience from your products for the cheapest price possible is always the best move.

My note 9 is missing the pen and has burn in, but it's still top tier imo.
😊😊😊😊😊
98 percent of people only use one camera, i wish they stop with 5 or 6 cameras to rack up the price, 2 max
I love my Note 9, but it won't update past Android 10. Banking apps are going to be a problem soon 😢
My note 9 has been restarting every so often since last night.. maybe...
Replace the battery
I upgraded from note9 to 15 pro max it was huge jump
On S24 Ultra display looks pale and has huge round area with essentially "dead pixels", sound on it comes shrill on highs (although slightly louder), photos looks oversharpened and artificial, you loose like half of great features of Note9 and it's few times more pricey. -Yeah - "Tough choice!"... 😉🤣
still using note 9
still use note 9..
the best experience
❤❤❤
If you got a note 9 still, get the Note 20 Ultra.. skip this expensive 24... I just did it Im so happy. who needs 30x zoom anyways lol
ANSWER: People who can afford it.
Watch from pakistan 🇵🇰 dude
I am still keeping my Note 9
Bro can you make video iphone 1x vs s23 ultra 1x camera comparison. I noticed s23 ultra 1x feel like ultra wide 0.8. Because of Samsung camera angle is worst 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Note 9 is too old
I know right! Atleast get Poco F6 Pro
I will still use the note 9 if I get it even note 8

😂😂😂 are you joking?!!!! Man i notice a big difference from my S22 ultra to my S24 ultra!!!
Most headphones are Bluetooth now and if you want a cord you can use a USB C to 3.5mm adapter.
Note 9 for ever!
