Im loving seeing your smaller monstera. I have a baby well had her a year now shes doing good but no where near old enough to have any split leaves. You dont usually see smaller ones in videos so its encouraging to see what mine will hopefully turn out like. I didnt know it would take so long to start seeing split leaves then i saw a big one that needed saving and was 40% off so i had to buy it 😅 great tips!

Mine has been growing for the 4mo I have had it. However the leaves have started drooping. Not the entire stwm but just the leafy part at the end of the stem is droopy. I've been so scared to over water, am I underwatering? It is in a fairly bright room w/West facing windows, about 4' from window.

    Good video, thank you.
I finally bought my first Monstera about 2 years ago. Have to admit, it hasn't gone as smoothly as I expected.. With all my other plants, I've quickly figured out how often they need watering. But with the Monstera I'm just not sure.. When it makes new leaves they tend to turn yellow before growing big ~ trying to figure out if I'm over- or under-watering, or is it a light-issue...

When new leaves first appear they are lighter in color and a softer, rubbery tissue. Is that how yours look?

I know you posted 2 months ago, but I hope you can see this message. I have a mounstera for 8 years . She is beings struggling by movings and different spot through the house. Right now I replanted with a good soil and all the mix that you mention here. Is being 1 week and she look sad and turning yellow. I don’t know what else I can do. By the way she is in my living room windows where she doesn’t get direct light, but is bright. She is big and I notice that she didn’t have too much roots. The pot is the same size , so I don’t know if I had to size down the pot.

You said you repotted to the same size pot. Did you root prune? Sorry, just trying to better understand.

Good video - thanks! May I ask a really dumb question? Are you meant to turn a monstera periodically or keep it facing the same direction?

One day I kept my monstera in sunlight since it was kept in my bedroom. But that caused leaf burn. Few of the leaves were damaged because of that. So what should I do in this case? Should I remove those leaves or what? Plz help.

You’ll just have to wait until it out grows the leaf and they drop. You can remove them if it is no more than 25% of the stems

What about the brown spots behind the leaves?

Could be pest. Maybe thrips. Look closely.

You get a thumbs down for only giving temperature in Fahrenheit, when the vast majority of the world uses Celsius. Great way to reduce your prospective audience.
