Great tutorial - thank you. I had to make many attempts to get the program to find my TUI - when it did it find it it did the upgrade. When I tried to upgrade the remote the program is still trying to find the TUI and will not progress. So I now have an updated TUI but a version 4 remote. Any suggestions?

Sean - i just added a mth big boy to my layout - im running a serial line to power sections on my fast trac layout - my question is if i switch my track section power to a spider block do i have to isolate the track blocks for mth dcs to work well and if yes do i cut bot groung and center rail to isolate the track blocks the spider leads feed? thanks tim
The recommended method is the Star wiring pattern with track blocks but ONLY the center rail is isolated, not the outside rails. However, since I added DCS after my layout had already been built, I just wired the feeds but did not isolate the center rail. DCS will still work fine but sometimes like when you press the whistle, it will do it twice instead of once because of the multiple signals coming from each feed. Isolating the center rail prevents that signal from going to the engine multiple times.
Ive been getting lashup request failed on my ipad , iphone seems to work fine with DCS app, im wonder if i have to create trains on phone to use ipad? Never had problems before
Have you done a video about how you added your MTH TIU to your Lionel LCS System? I’m looking to do same thing (I think for the same reason) and I was hoping to capitalize on your experience. Thanks in advance for any direction…
I don't plan on integrating my Legacy and DCS systems together. The only reason to do that would be if I wanted to control everything with the DCS remote (which I don't really like). I just added DCS only for the 4 MTH engines I have that Lionel has never made and may never make. Otherwise, I am running Legacy all the time. I do have a few DCS setup videos coming up. But if you want to control TMCC/Legacy with the DCS system and also have LCS, you just need an SER2 module (which goes into the LCS Daisy Chain) and the correct cable. Plus of course the DCS system itself. Then you plug the serial cable from DCS into SER2.
Great video Sean! Have you do e a video on how to take a PS2 system from a steam engine and put it in a diesel locomotive? I have mth bantam daylight that I want to strip the remote out and put in my SP Daylight premier F3's. Thanks
Sean, I've had the wifi dcs premium app for years, and all of a sudden tonight con ipad no lashup of more than 2 engines??. Told me to upgrade but it's the upgrade app not explorer. Mth remote lashes up no problem. I don't get it
Yes, it's happening to everyone. Try this got this off forum. Log into the app store, then leave it logged in and open the DCS app, at the top right under the upgrade there is a "Restore" , hit that, and then the License showed up.

Congratulations on finding one. I was looking for a Legacy system for months. Found a new one at York.
Newer WIU will require phone cord connection to use DCS remote. Good buy and you can use remote wirelessly! Wi-fi app and unit still a must though.

Yes sir, i did it last night works great this morning. I reset and updated i pad.
Guess MTH has dcs upgrade coming out? Just yesterday the app quit allowing lashups.dcs 3.2.2v
