- This looks a good character based edition.Nothing huge happens, just lots of the characters have good bits of dialogue etc. What the Street did really well then.Early appearance of Ernie Bishop here before he was a regular.Funny seeing him without his trademark glasses.I would have uploaded this about 3 hours ago but the wind outside caused the connection to slow to a snail's crawl.Better late than never anyway.Hope you enjoy it yourselves also.
Oh fantastic again. Beautiful, entirely character driven scenes, just as Corrie always used to be and I so wish could be again - but of course it never will. HV Kershaw as executive producer you see - a master of his craft. Thank you!
PS Ernie Bishop looks somehow terrifying without his glasses.
PPS 'Prick with a fork' (Emily to Alan) - a perfect description of Kenneth eating.
Yes like seeing Deirdre without the bins.An unsettling experience.

Many thanks for this episode! I love these old ones so much!
Kettle on the stove my Late grandmother used to do that Luv these old Corrie Classics 👍🍞👍
Always leaves a cliff hanger! Audrey collapses at the thought of washing up some dishes!
0:55 The Fleming's kettle has a huge dent in it. Is this a visual metaphor?
6:43 Innuendo-plastered dialogue from Emily Nugent here directed at the new Love God. Eileen Derbyshire must have cheered when she read the script.
I'm here at Mr. Humphries' (AYBS) suggestion ❤❤❤
Cheers! X
I love this show
Back when it was like a radio play.
Ernie Bishop looks to me like he's squinting here - that's probably just me though or maybe in 'real life' he actually did need those specs! 🤓🤣Very good episode though and they had just better continue on the next where they left off here is all I can say!! 😉Thank you again.
Do you have 8 July 1970? Would be interesting to see how they handle Jack's death in that episode. Was Always keen to see Lucille last episode on 1 July 1974 as well, after Jennifer Moss was dismissed for alcoholism.
No I can't find the 8th July 70 presently.And don't have Lucille's last episode at the moment.
I remember Annie Walker praying at the end of an episode that Jack survived the (first) tram crash. This series was actually movingly poignant once. But, as said, it ain't now.
Such a dive Emily is
Do these people not lock their doors???
No, we never did in those days😂

Ohh Ken you are awful but I like you 🎶🎶....🎺....👍💥
Over the decades the Barlows always had light blue cups and saucers.
