21:27 Corrie's overworked vision mixer called on the shot too soon before the camera is in position and focused properly. Betty Driver probably fumed over her close-up being ruined.
Ray Langton's letters being read out in full here. This would normally be a clumsy narrative device to cover up an absence, but I'm guessing it was because he was written out quickly as his scenes would normally have been with Peter Adamson (at this point suspended from the show due to his drinking problem).
Odd to have Sheila Birtles back for only 2 episodes (a week's work in Corrie production terms). More production verisimilitude, I think - the scripts were probably written for Sandra Butler, but Patricia Fuller was unavailable for some reason, so they brought back an old friend of Elsie's to fulfill that function at the trial.

Yes exactly first introduced in 1961 and stayed with series till early 1971.Lucky to have her so long as very talented actress.​@@PaulKinnear
